This is a great store if you are a vegan or raw vegan. They have in stock lots of meals from local vegan eaters all over the island. So this is a great place to get familiar with some hard to find off the grid vegan/raw vegan hidden gems of Kauai. They are super pricey is the only down fall. Still they have some awesome finds like local fresh coconut water daily from a coconut farm in Kauai. They also have live raw vegan burritos in the refrigerator section. They sell great vegan burgers, plant protiens, vegan snacks, dyhdrated snacks, and other health remendies. It's a small store with tons of stuff. Disclaimer: I'm not the healthiest dude, but I frequent this health food store because hey, they have a lot of good stuff squeezed into a small space, the staff is friendly, and we all want to incrementally better ourselves. Parking can be a hassle: backing out of highway side parking can be considered an extreme sport, and hunting for a stall in the private lot may require circling a couple of times. Horrible customer service!!! When I was taking my money out she commented on me having my SS card in my wallet I just opened up a new banking account that's why! I thought I bought something that didn't get put in the bag , so I called and asked if I paid for the Idem she said no I didn't ok we went over what I paid for all good , the lady was very indifferent and rude she made me feel like I wanted something for free this place can't get good people working for them the owner is nice finally a good owner. Great health food store. Thank goodness they have one in Lihue as well as Kapaa. The employees who work here are nice- there is some aloha here, but more like earthy-crunchy people. Usually they have some kind of healthy sandwiches in the cooler, but I came in at 10 minutes to 7pm and all that stuff was pau (done, gone). read more

I was really not wanting to write a bad review about the management of this business, but unfortunately I feel compelled to do so. The manager of Vim 'N Vigor is anything but friendly. When I've been in the store while he's working, I'm greeted without a smile or a hello, and when I finish my purchase I have never gotten a thank you from this man. He appears very unhappy with his job and it seems as though it's either time for him to move on to another line of work where he doesn't have to deal with the public, or...he needs a major attitude adjustment. I try to time shopping at this store when either or both of the female employees are working. Both of these woman are a delight and they are always friendly, professional and all about great customer service. If it weren't for these two, I would avoid this store all together. As I said...I was really not wanting to write a bad review, but I felt it was important to warn any future shoppers of the unfriendly manager they may encounter upon coming through the door of this business. read more

When I land in Lihue this is always the first stop I make. It's kind of a mini heath food store with also some produce. I usually get a sandwich or wrap and some chips, mac nuts, lettuce avocados and basic stuff to have on hand. Everything is really really fresh. They also carry local products from the Island like chocolate, personal care products. They are oriented to raw food items but not exclusively as they will have fish wraps and some meat items. Everything is health oriented which I really like as the other supermarkets on the Island are not. The staff is courteous but I would not call them overly friendly. Prices on Kauai are crazy and you will easily be spending a bunch of pennies. It's so convenient though that I am very happy this place exists and will continue to support small footprint stores like this. read more

They were next door to kauai kitchens for the longest time, now they are by the subway and across from mcdonald's in lihue town. bigger location but the parking is not as good... they make sandwiches, and you can get like, veggies, avocado, tuna, veggie/seitan (i think!) and it's way better than going to either of those two fast food places. plus, they have bulk food of all kinds and supplements of all kinds, and the people who work there are knowledgeable (and if they are not they won't make stuff up!) so, this is a place i like to go shopping and get a fresh sandwich. read more

So happy to have found this shop, this place is affordable with unique health and wellness related products to improve your quality of life!! The manager was so helpful and passionate about healing others, and recommended a natural pain relieving product for my ankle. I had rolled my ankle earlier that day. He also welcomed me to use samples of different pain relieving creams such as CBD which were very helpful!! I was able to find everything I needed and more! They had many locally made products as well. I love that I was given a reusable box instead of a plastic bag for my purchases. Everything I got from Vim 'N Vigor was delicious. This is my go-to place, Malisia, Kyle and Cara are all friendly and know their customers by name. They are there to answer all of my questions. Also, if they don't have a particular item in stock, you can ask them to locate it. They'll put it on their list and call you when it arrives. Sure, it's pricey and they lack in produce items but compared to the prices at Living Foods in Kukuiula, Poipu and I refuse to deal with Kapaa traffic to go to Papayas or Hoku, Vim meets my needs for eating healthier. read more

This place had a great selection of alternative food items to supplemental a trip to a regular market. They don't have much produce, but they have gluten-free items and dairy-free items to rival the best health food stores on the mainland. We got local honey, local kombucha from Kauai Juice Co, and some of my favorite gluten-free brands of crackers, fake cheese, nut milk, etc. read more

This is a tiny store, so if you looking for a place like Whole Foods, you're going to be hugely disappointed. No real fresh produce section at all. Just some dry goods and a small freezer section, along with some sandwiches. However, on the up side, the staff are unusually friendly and helpful, even for a health food store, and the store is conveniently located near the airport, so if you're looking to pick up a healthy snack on the way to or from the airport, this is a good place to stop off at -- and to become acquainted with outrageously high Kauai prices! read more
