This location is in the Palomar shopping center. The restaurant itself is clean and bright with the menu displayed on the wall behind the counter. Items appear to be reasonably fresh and the staff is friendly. My husband and I each had a salad and he added a bowl of soup. The menu items are a little pricey, with a total coming to over $25, but the food is fast and healthy. I went to Vinaigrette Salad Kitchen today during lunch. Had heard a lot about their salads. The 2 ladies there were super fast and sweet! Really appreciated their customer service. So I ordered a classic chicken salad with apples n strawberries in a pocket... yes, a pocket. So they call hollowed out bread as pockets. Not to be mistaken with pita pockets. They also warm/toast the bread, which is great. I think I should've had the salad as is because in the bread, it became dry n soggy n also just tasted weird to have strawberries in bread. Also ordered their tomato soup. The color looks better in my photo as I used a filter . The taste was ok, nothing to write home about. Would I try it again? Maybe... if I was craving some tomato soup and Panera was not an option. They did give croutons with the soup .. and then I realized that they charged for the add on. I'm not sure what all the hype is about this place. The salads are pricy for what you get and they were lacking in options for toppings. I got the Tuscan salad and I was so disappointed. It was drenched in the dressing and it just wasn't anything special. I'm use to eating salad at Salata or Snappy Salads, which unfortunately, Kentucky doesn't have. I guess it's ok if there are no other salad options around, but I would rather make my own salad at home than pay to eat here. My lunch was reasonably price at just under $10.00. I am sorry I have neglected this restaurant in my own neighborhood because I really enjoyed my lunch today. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Living in Kentucky there are few spots that serve more health conscious food, that is also appetizing. My favorite was the blt salad. My boyfriend and I had gotten togo from the Palomar location this time in particular, but have visited the downtown one as well. When eating our salads my boyfriend yells out to stop eating because of what he had found, a spider. We dumped the salad onto a plate and attached are what we found. We called the restaurant and they offered to give a refund, which was very nice and we did take because at that point our dinner was ruined. read more

Man I love this place! The Harvest Kale salad with grilled chicken is my go to but the Bluegrass Blackberry is a close second. It's a locally owned place and I have never had a bad meal here. Unfortunately this business doesn't have all their locations on Yelp or I'd review the correct location. I have ordered consistently over many Summers. I ordered two wraps which were spinach only to be called and told to change one to plain/tomato basil. I specified which wrap wanted the spinach (Santorini) and which plain wrap (bluegrass) and still received the wrong one. I told the young girl on the phone as much detail as I could including the order name, items on the order, etc. and she seemed very panicked and answered "okay thanks for calling and telling us" without checking and confirming anything on the order or making sure it was solved--it was obviously not. read more

I used to be a big fan of Vinaigrette, but have ordered twice in the past couple of months, and both times were very disappointing. For the first, I arrived 5-10 minutes after my food was scheduled to be picked up (having ordered online) and two of the four salads had apparently been ready for a while, but then they hadn't made the other two. They rushed to get those together and handed me my bags, but when I got to my car, I realized they'd forgotten a soup order and I had to go back for that. Once home I realized they'd gotten the ingredients wrong on two of the salads (maybe the two they'd rushed at the end?), and they'd also forgotten the stickers for my loyalty card. On my next visit, two of the salads were supposed to have apple chips on them and each salad literally had three tiny little slivers and that was it. Other toppings seemed extremely minimal as well, so all three salads were essentially bowls of lettuce with a light sprinkling of ingredients. Definitely not worth the price and drive for carryout and also nowhere near the quality that I used to expect from Vinaigrette. I think it will be quite a while before I try them again, which is sad, since they used to be one of my absolutely favorite restaurants in town. read more

There is a true good news- bad news aspect to this restaurant. The good news is that the food is terrific. Decent variety of salads, and my wife life's the chicken salad Pockette. The location is convenient with plenty of parking. The bad news is that the employees really do not seem to know what they are doing. They are all young, and there does not seem to be anybody in charge, and no Manager on site. The salad makers are slow and tentative. The line moves at a glacial pace. If I were to walk in and see more than a few people in line, I am walking out. I also do not care for the ambience. It is dark and gray, with very high exposed ceilings that make it very noisy and echoey. This place could do very well, but management, if there is any, really needs to tighten things up. read more
