The chicken was perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. We were especially impressed by the variety of sauces available, all made in-house, adding a uniqueness to every bite. The restaurant itself was very nice, clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. Their food is good. My opinion I prefer other chicken spots like Joella's, Chick-fil-A, canes, Zaxby's over slim chickens. I also prefer the fries at these other places over Slim chickens. It's not a Bad place to eat and some people may prefer it. Just my thoughts. I do like Slim chickens choices and sauces and they are free. This was next to our hotel and we thought we would give it a try. The girl that took our order was really nice. She has some great guest service skills. It's your run of the mill chicken joint pretty much. I'd say it's a knock off of Cane's. Honestly I think I prefer Cane's but it was good. The Mac and cheese was great for a fast food Mac. So this place opened up last week and I finally got to go there today. On entering, I was greeted by very friendly staff. Ordering was a breeze and I was STUNNED when my food got to the table before I did!!!! (I'd stopped to get my drink from the fountain). A gentleman, I'm assuming the manager, came out twice to ask us how everything was going. Ambiance is pretty basic with a porch setting available as well, but it was very clean. Food came out piping hot! And it was really good! Better than Chik's/Dave's/Cane's! Chicken tenders meal: 5/5 Buffalo wrap meal: 5/5 Smoky cheddar wrap meal: 5/5 The best thing about their wraps is that the amount of sauce is just right! Not too dry not too overly moist n dripping. I did check their teas and lemonades. I'd rate both a 2/5... sweet tea wasn't sweet enough and the lemonade was too sour for my taste. Food was just warm and not hot at all. Which during lunch time you would expect to be hot. 5/5 - Wings good flavor, sauce choices good - only winglets no drums. Fries barely warm and very salty. Bread was more like you make at home with a lot of garlic on it also barely warm. Tenders good texture, no crispy also barely warm. Shakes - Strawberry and Vanilla very good, better than expected. Fried Mushrooms - Barely warm, not a very crispy crust and they appeared to have been fried in the fry oil since there were some very crispy fries under the mushrooms Mac and Cheese - Barely warm, creamy, decent for fast food, minus not being hot. Potato Salad - Creamy but had a weird twang in some bites, could not finish it as it wasn't pleasing Grilled Chicken Salad - Excellent and one of the best salads had at fast food. Great chicken! If you like slaw with blackening seasoning in it this is for you. The fries here in my 4 visits have either been Luke warm (cold by the end of the meal) or burnt to a crisp where they have no soft interior. I have tried the tenders, classic sandwich and the spicy sandwich. Not saying this will be my last visit, I need to try the wings and have mentioned the fries to the manager once. The unsweet tea has been going south on two of my four visits. I know you sell more sweet tea but it only lasts so long sitting out of the cold! Service is quick and they are just as pleasant as the other chicken joint down the way.... But the music is so loud at the register unless the manager is up there you can't hear the employees questions. They chose a great location between two motels and across the street from a major hospital in our city. I ordered a buffalo wrap combo with fries. Fries were extra salty (I don't mind) but they were also soggy. Buffalo wrap was mid. Nothing really special about it. I had heard from several friend that Slim Chickens was a no go, but sometimes I am hard headed. We tried the chicken wraps... if you like tortilla shells then you are in luck! The wrap was 95% shells, all rolled up in space that should have been chicken! The ranch dip was watery and bland. I think there was 2 small tenders in the whole wrap. Pitiful! I won't be returning. I had been wanting to try this new place. I stopped with a friend to try it for lunch around 12:30. I have to say I was very impressed. I got the fried chicken sandwich with fry's. The restaurant was very clean and the employees were very friendly. If you are a health care employee and have an employee badge you get a discount. The hospital is across the street. I think my sandwich was amazing. It was hot,moist and was way better than any of those other chicken places (Chick-fil- A )or other close by sandwich places that you have to wait in line for at the drive in window. The restaurant was busy but you could get a seat inside and not a long wait. The quality was excellent. My friend got the chicken Wrap. She also thought it was very good. Very pleased! Chicken is delicious! Inviting dinning room with polite and prompt service. Super clean, they were pretty busy and there wasn't a crumb on the floors or tables. The choice of sauces puts it over the top. We had a Slim's meal and a grilled chicken wrap, both were tender, hot and the fries were perfectly seasoned. VERY slow service at drive thru. Chicken tenders tasted like they had too much baking soda or baking powder. Sauces couldn't cover it up. Not worth trying again. Save yourself and your @-ss hole the trouble here guys! Went through the drive through and ordered what I thought would be a harmless chicken tender and fry, also known as their Classic #5....I waited around a total of 20 minutes to receive this life changing meal. Once received, I immediately thought to myself "I should've went to Canes". The fries were okay but the tenders themselves were super salty, as in the breading of the tenders might as well came from the Red Sea. No big deal, I chowed down innocently and just thought "it wasn't the worst but I won't come here again". Fast forward 8 hours later and I'd like to retract my first thoughts here as liquid tried shooting out of every hole imaginable. I am usually not one to leave a bad review but I am a bit salty so to speak over this experience!
