So if you're going for a little more modern look or bling, take your checkbook with you. The ad that brought me in was $149 for Contact Lense exam, 2 boxes of contacts and a pair of glasses. Granted, I wear progressive, so I expected an upcharge. I hated their 'included frame selectioin' (of course), so chose another frame that cost more. My bill ended up being $369 - alrighty then. However, Bert is extremely charming as he tells you the new price of your visit. Loved Dr. Lockwood. Effecient, very nice, explained some of the different tests she was doing. Awesome. Susan was great too. She did my initial tests and finalized paperwork. Very personable and professional. The place is DIRTY! I highly recommend they use a good cleaning service at least once a month. The lab sink where Dr. L had me wash my hands (to put in my contacts) was gross. It needs a good soak in vinegar to get all of the hard water chunks off.

From the beginning, he attempted to upcharge me over $350 for services and products that did not match my insurance coverage. After questioning everything and verifying directly with my insurance company, I ended up paying only $20. That kind of discrepancy is unacceptable and highly misleading. I had already provided my insurance information the day before, so there was no excuse for the confusion. Raul gave me incorrect information multiple times, including claiming I had multiple insurance plans (I only have one) and insisting my copay was $50 when I knew it was $10. I had to call my insurance myself and have my benefits faxed over just to correct what he was telling me. He also told me I could only pick glasses from three specific display sections. When I asked another employee, I was informed I could choose from the entire store--completely contradicting Raul. As a 15-year combat veteran, I value honesty, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, this experience reflected none of those qualities. Customers should not have to fact-check employees or fight to avoid being overcharged. This was a very disappointing and stressful experience, and I strongly encourage management to address this situation. Transparency and accurate information should be standard practice, not something customers have to demand.

Been there before the family too we get our glasses from them. Have worked with Kevin mainly. Failed me on 3/16/26. Dealt with the rude manager misty 2 weeks ago giving me incorrect information on my insurance. So I go in to the Trinity location today March 16, 2026 for my March 16, 2026 for my 2:20 pm "scheduled" eye exam at this location is in the heart of my community where I reside for 22 years. They put me in the ER. I was physically taken away by ambulance. The staff should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to a senior citizen. Horrific experience. Fortunately I was able to audiotape this debacle the worst experience in my lifetime ever!! My Blood Pressure was 178/88 in this store when they initially took my wrist BP TWICE!! So I asked doctor to take it with the BP cuff. She wanted me to wait I said we can't wait. I'm in an office with the door closed with the eye doctor I was seated. She wanted to start the exam. I wanted to have my pressure tested since it was very high initially. The doctor said "No I can't wait "5 minutes" "I have other patients". I ask her please she told me to go wait in the waiting room. I remained seated she stormed out of her office that was the last I saw of her. I sat there knowing something scary was happening to me. My heart started to pound my chest was hurting I was nauseous sweating crying hyperventilating coughing tears running down my face I was obviously experiencing a medical condition. Nobody even bothered to check on me. I could have died. I got my cell phone and dialed 911 and received immediate attention from the Trinity paramedics who escorted me to the Hospital. When I arrived at the ER my pressure was 200/90. It's now 7:30 pm and I'm still in the ER. They have given me medication in my IV to help the BP to come down. My pressure is always low. That is why I was concerned. I don't take BP pills. I don't suffer from any chronic diseases. What I will say is I was shown almost no caring and kindness by entire staff at this facility during my ordeal they seem more annoyed and perception is reality When my husband called CLARKSON EYECARE from the hospital he spoke to Misty the office manager. He let her speak. He said she was cold w/ him & didn't even have the decency to ask how I was feeling. That entire staff needs a complete retraining Reboot or fired. SHAME ON CLARKSON EYECARE IN TRINITY FLORIDA FOR NOT DOING THE RIGHT THING. Worried more about their "5 minutes" than a person who needs help.

Kimberlee was fantastic in the lens and frames department. She helped both of us pick out frames, went over our insurance to help us choose features, and checked us out. Staff members and whoever running this location are very unprofessional. It took an act of God to place my contact lens order last spring so I started using an online service. Their automated system made it easy to book my next appt so I booked another one for 1/3. Today I received what seemed like a regular automated message to confirm my appointment. It wasn't suspicious until all of a sudden the text initiator on the other end started asking for my insurance information in an UNENCRYPTED SMS chat. Any reputable office that is complying with PHI would be using end-to-end encrypted communication or a password-protected link. Demanding insurance details via SMS is a clear violation of standard privacy practices and makes me question how they handle the rest of my medical records. I won't be returning to this location.
