I was hoping for a different outcome but I have to respect their honesty. In long A scrape on my leg had gotten infected, so I was hoping to get an Rx for some antibiotics and hurry home for the Hawks game. They checked me in in minutes, and found my insurance that had just taken effect a couple days earlier. Nice! The system texted me some info to fill out, and she told me it would list me as being seen in about 25 minutes, but it would be much sooner. The PA came out within 60 seconds to say that they didn't house one piece of equipment I'd need as part of a full eval, and I should go around the corner to the ER. He definitely felt bad delivering this news, and explained it even more thoroughly than he really needed to. I got it right away. He was quick to say that they would cancel the visit and not charge me. Even though I ended up missing the whole game, he was spot-on about what the ER would do to evaluate the infection. I got great care there, thankfully much of it in front of a fuzzy, dim TV showing the game. So I can't really complain about anything other than my own procrastination for leaving the trip until late afternoon.

I was told that I "looked fine" and advised to continue using the same topical medication, despite my concerns. My visit was also incorrectly documented with appointment notes about whiplash, a condition I never reported or had. After following their guidance, my condition got significantly worse to the point I couldn't open my eye and had to seek care elsewhere. Another provider immediately told me to stop the medication and prescribed a different treatment that worked almost overnight. I formally contested both the care and the incorrect documentation, but their medical review team still determined that everything was "appropriate" and refused to adjust the charge. I will never go back and cannot recommend them.

I would give zero stars if I could! The "care" I received from Dr. Grace T. Dy at the Monroe…read morewalk-in clinic was the worst experience I have ever received and she was completely incompetent. I have a call into their senior medical manager right now to see to it that she cant treat any other patient the way she treated me. Do NOT be seen by her if you wish to get real care. I have been having a 102.5 fever off and on since Sunday with horrible aches and fatigue, which all came on very suddenly after a cold virus I had weeks ago, so I thought it could be pneumonia or a bacterial infection. On top of being dismissive, this "doctor" just told me to keep taking Tylenol and that it was a virus, in her opinion, since the xray didnt show pneumonia. She listened to me for literally one second with the stethoscope and was moving it constantly, so there was no way she could have heard my passage of air adaquately. She was super rude at the end when she rushed in, after my tests, and said, "it's a virus! There are hundreds of them out there, I mean... we can't test for every single virus! There are tons that carry a fever!" She said this with a rude voice and I followed with, "uh... I know there are hundreds of viruses, but many viruses do not just show up immediately and come on suddenly with a sustained fever of 102.5!" She then muffled under her curt breath, "well... that's true... but... it's viral. There's nothing I can do. Keep taking Tylenol." There was no "I hope you feel better." Nothing. She gets up and quickly exits. Her nurse was no better- I felt like we were being treated by soul-less AI robotics. I had my darling 11 year old daughter with me and she was asking good questions during my care and the admitting nurse was brushing her off constantly, so I answered my daughter in front of the nurse and did the nurse's job. Seriously- I have no idea why we were treated so rudely. The "doctor" didn't listen to my daughter's breathing for longer than 2 seconds and never told her to take deep breaths. When I told her that my husband could hear crackling, she said with a doubting tone, "oh... so... he has a stethoscope?!" I responded kindly, "yes... he is an EMT and knows well how to listen to breathing." Such rude demeanor. I don't know how she is considered a real doctor. I am pretty sure I am perspnally dealing with something bacterial here, and she completely wrote me off and didn't follow any additional testing, but rudely kept saying, "there's tons of viruses! It could be anything!" Ugh. We are sweet people and I was ready to engage graciously, but "Dr" Grace T Dy is clearly not committed to the same things. I will never see her again.

I brought my 6 month old daughter into the walk in thinking she had an ear infection. I told the…read moredoctor that she had been non stop pulling on her ears and is waking in the middle of the night screaming like she is in pain. He told me babies this age usually don't get ear infections, I told him just because it isn't common doesn't mean it can't happen, and I explained to him me and my husband's complications with ear infections as babies. I even asked him to see if there was a bunch of wax in her ears that could be bothering her. He then asked me if I was a first time mom, what does this have to do with anything? He looked in her ears and said she was fine, but he even pointed out how much she was pulling on her ears during the appointment. After he checked her ears he questioned why I even brought her in and sent us on our way. The next week my daughter had an appointment with her pediatrician and I told them I was worried about her ears, they took one look in them and couldn't even see her eardrums because they were full of wax! We then had to see an ENT to get it removed. Needless to say I will never go here again, and moms should be taken more seriously since they know their babies better than anyone else!

Then I checked the other urgent care locations and saw they were at least the same price. They do tend to prescribe medication more often here than other places, but when I've expressed concern with a specific Rx I had issues with, they were quick to find an alternative. The biggest reason I love this place is the time it takes. I'm usually out the door in less than 15 minutes (with an appointment). That includes greeting reception, getting vitals from an assistant, answering questions about why I'm there, talking to the doc, and leaving with my visit summary. I don't come here when I'm feeling well - I want to be back home, wrapped in a blanket, hopefully with some antibiotics or medication to make my plague less miserable. More than any other place I've been, this checks that box. If you're looking for a conversation about how your family is doing, make an appointment with your PCP. If you're sick and need something addressed quickly, visit One Urgent Care.

My expectations were low based on past experience and hearing story after story after story of poor treatment from medical professionals regarding this disease, but I was desperate and getting so sick. I saw a Bridget Noorishad who was a god send in my life at that moment. Due to lack of funding for date, most doctors are misinformed and cling to false beliefs about the disease to misdiagnose patients. It's a problem that leads to death unfortunately. Bridget wasn't familiar with this issue (most aren't) and held some common misbeliefs as do almost all medial professionals with the exception of ER doctors for some reason they seem to know it more. But what was amazing about Bridget is that she listened to what I had to say and I could tell she genuinely cared (such a relief and so refreshing given my expectations and experience dealing with this). She was skeptical at first as she should be, but she did the right thing and I don't think she knows how grateful I was! She said okay can you give me a minute and she left the room for awhile to go investigate and get to the truth. She humbled herself and did what all doctors should do in this situation. After all, they can't know everything. She took the time and care to figure it out and returned with honestly the best possible treatment plan she could have. After being misdiagnosed for well over a year thanks to false outdated info and doctors who cling to it, this was EXACTLY what I needed in that moment. I couldn't be happier with the care I received here and while treatment was less than effecthve that was not her fault. It was the right treatment just too late and I went too long with insufficient treatment. It's complicated but I just want to say I 100% recommend this walk in. The care FAR exceeded all others I've visited in the area. Thank you for taking me seriously....all too often that's not the case with this issue and you have NO IDEA just how much I needed that! Edit Added:...Oh and I should add that she was even willing to go above and beyond and offered to stay late so my boyfriend could stop by on his way home and talk to her. She isn't a family therapist (or at least not to my knowledge) and definitely did not have to do that, but thank god there are actually good people on the world who understand the importance of their profession and take it so seriously! I'm telling you it's extremely rare to see a medical professional who is as dedicated

They offer all the basics of primary care, and stay open late and on weekends to handle walk-ins. They really commit themselves to making sure people get care. It's a small, older building that looks more like a 60s tract house than a medical facility, but don't judge it by the exterior. It's a purpose-built dentist/dr office with plenty of space inside. Comfortable waiting room, business-like and professional desk staff. The exam rooms aren't the newest you've ever seen, but they're very clean with good lighting and a comfortable setting. We've juggled a few chronic medical issues lately, and they've always been helpful and personable with advice, prescriptions, and encouragement. They can help you out if you're waiting for insurance coverage to start at a new job, and so on. They really want to make sure you get seen and get any help you might be needing. We're sorry to see Val go, but Andrea has been amazing for a long time and we're happy to keep seeing her.
