The lab reception desk is only for an Optum employee to stare at you snd say sit you will be called. No greeting just a stare and told to sit. Terrible way to run a clinic. They should know that Empathy is an important part of patient care.

Deedee is a superwoman both the nurse and front desk lady but she does more than that. I admit to having made a omment about "this is why i hate our healthcare system", but was not disrespectful to anyone. I showed my id and moved on. After my childs appointment the doctor informed me she couldnt be my childs doctor because I was disrespectful to the staff. I asked for an example as i know i didnt say anything today and i havent been there at all in over a year. I was told there were notes from other interactions as well. As this is the first time i had heard about it, i tried to ask questions. Can you provide me an example of what i have said or done that was disrespectful? What if my husband brings our child from now on? Is it just you or can my child see others here? I was told they couldnt see any of the pediatrics there and even having my husband bring them wouldnt change things. I was not provided any specific examples of what i had done wrong that was so disrespectful they refused to see my child anymore. I asked to speak with a supervisor to understand the concerns. Again i havent been there in over a year and this is rhe first time anyone has mentioned an issue. The supervisor refused to talk to me, but when the doctor came back she said she could see my child but that she was documenting the issue and i would receive a write up. I explained to the medical assistant that I was angry at Optum, but not at the staff because they had always been kind to me. I also explained that I have brain damage to my hippocampus, so it was difficult to control my emotions if I became upset. That assistant (who would not give me her name, a guilty conscience, perhaps?) proceeded to treat me coldly and without any empathy. Of course that was upsetting to me. I began crying and she began threatening me with "security" or "police". I asked multiple times just to see the medical professional for my appointment and she refused. Apparently, while she was gone to get "security", she must have told the rest of the staff that I was the problem because she came back with a huge guy named Derek D. and told me that my appointment would not be honored. I wish I had a photograph of the smirk on her face when she said that. Honestly, I still believe that the ARNP (Uman Gahlot) and the MD (Dr. Nelson) are actually kind people and if they had spent 5 minutes with me the situation would have ended. The assistant, Ms. No One Identifiable, had made sure that option was blocked to me. I was escorted out of the building by another big, burly guy. While in the parking lot, I called the police myself and informed them that The Optum Clinic, Silver Lake, had refused to let me keep my appointment. Then I left. Honestly, I've never been treated to badly by a medical clinic in my entire life. Then they had the gall to send me a message today that I could sign up for another provider! Believe me, they could not PAY me enough to ever go there again. I've decided, since my great doctor, Dr. Murphy, left Optum Mukilteo in 2022, that I have several better options. After I recover from the trauma caused by this assistant, I will be writing to Optum's CEO in Minnesota and letting him know how displeased I am with Optum in general. Until this appointment, I have NEVER filed any kind of a formal complaint against a medical professional (and there have been a couple times that I thought about it). After my appointment with Dr. Scarr, I went straight home and made a complaint through The Everett Clinic's customer service website. More concerning to me than his general lack of respect and professionalism were the following: 1. He did no more than make a cursory glance at the medical history I had just provided to the assistant before jumping to several (incorrect) conclusions about why I was there and how he wanted to treat me. 2. He made multiple out of date, incorrect, and potentially dangerous statements about the treatment of Hashimoto's thyroiditis (a specific autoimmune thyroid disease). And made some rude remarks about my concerns being cosmetic in nature rather than truly medical. 3. He doesn't understand depression and the need for pharmaceutical treatment. Period. And he is insensitive when discussing it. I left in tears and absolutely furious. Most telling to me was that when I scheduled a follow-up appointment with a different doctor the receptionist didn't bat an eye and signed me right up with a primary care physician that hadn't been accepting new patients when I called three days before.

HE didn't put me on prednisone which should have been the first course of action, He didn't take anything about me seriously. I don['t think he likes disabled clients. I may have had more hearing if he would have referred me to a specialist. He had no business treaing a hearing loss when he said he know nothing aboutt it. My family's physical exam schedule has been delayed, which has caused major difficulties with the I-485 schedule. I had to travel twice from Bellevue to Lynnwood for urine and blood tests, even though I had normal samples taken. They got mad at us for calling the business line when we called to check and complain to review the two mistakes. If they had done it right, they wouldn't have called. The service spirit of the staff is terrible and when I first asked for the cost, they gave me the wrong price, so I had to pay more. At first, when he strongly protested that he would not apologize, he said that he would at best apologize and compensate, but he refused because he made questionable compensation in good faith. They are not experts and do not deserve star ratings. If someone mentions Chu Clinic, I won't hesitate to vote. They don't even reflect. Hospitals are also a type of service, but it seems to have become a habit for a long time.

She is what I consider a real Doctor because if you are super sick she does make house calls. She also is my GrandMothers Doctor and well if you want a Doctor who doesn't rush you and is there to assist you in anyway I recommend Dr. Randall 100%! She is very understanding and helpful!
