We were seated right away with a large party, which was a great start. Our server was super nice and did a good job staying attentive, especially considering how big our group was. I ordered spaghetti with marinara and a side salad. I specifically asked for no cucumbers, but the salad still came out with them. It's one vegetable I absolutely hate, but I didn't send it back, just wish a little more attention had been paid to that request. The pasta itself wasn't very good. The marinara barely coated the noodles and didn't have much flavor, so I ended up asking for a side of Alfredo just to make it better. This is my first time here, and it was with my partner and his company for their holiday outing. The staff did a great job of taking care of us, although we were a party of about 25 people, spread out in the small tables of their back room. The lemon drop martini was great, a little on the south side, which I don't mind. The Caesar salad was a good starter, as were a few appetizers (not pictured) that we started our meal with. I wish I remember the name of my pasta dish, but I don't see it on the full menu. We had a limited menu for the company party, but this was a cavatappi pasta with a white sauce, and I added shrimp to the dish. It was excellent! I also got to try The chicken Parmesan, lasagna, and a few other dishes. All were great for the price point. We went for Mother's Day. They were out of many alcohols for many of their specialty drinks. Was never offered a remediation. Service was incredibly slow. We asked for water refills and didn't get them and had to ask another employee. They charged drinks incorrectly and when we pointed it out it was not corrected. We were told there was only one button for both those drinks. So I assume they charge everyone the alcohol price for the non alcoholic version. We will not be coming back. Would avoid going there. So me and my wife paid to have my sons wedding reception dinner at vincenzos a group of 37 people the service was acceptional the 2 girl servers we had were super fast very polite and friendly, The food was good accept for my wife's meatless lasagna was to spicy to even eat for her nowhere in the menu did it say it was spicy and my mother in laws lasagna was crazy spicy so some enjoyed their apps,dinner and desserts the fact my wife couldn't enjoy her lasagna really annoyed me it was the one thing she really likes at least she enjoyed her fettucine, I mean paying $1200 for a massive group you would think they would try not to mess up dishes, so some got to enjoy the food they ordered my mother in law was only able to take one bite of her lasagna it was to spicy for her so it was a ok dinner. read more

Very warm and friendly service with an old-world Italian atmosphere. Leann was our server and she was fantastic. Great personality and we enjoyed the dialogue. No vermouth this night, so we opted for a bottle of chianti classico. We began with the brushetta. Delicious bread with a slice of roma tomato with melted cheese. The cheese they use is not mozzarella, but their mix of a few cheeses (has sort of a predominate American cheese flavor). My wife had the pesto tortillini, which she loved. I sampled and agreed. I had the Salmon Vincenzo's which came with a Ceasar salad. The salmon was a perfect medium and delicious. I did not care for the crabmeat stuffing and I don't think the stuffing cared for me later that night. Next visit I would have just the plain salmon. The highlight of the evening was dessert and the Limoncello cake - simply delicious and we highly recommend. read more

We truly had the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in over a year. We made a reservation for 13 for a birthday and initially were very excited as we have heard great things and our birthday girls favorite food is Italian. We were sat immediately and that was the only good thing about the entire experience, we each ordered drinks and took over 20 minutes to get our drinks, we then had to ask our server finally if we could put in a order for food as it was 6:46 already and our reservation was made at 6. We finally ordered and then again started the long wait for our salad and bread. We politely informed the server that we had plans at 7:50 and would like to be out before then as we had made reservations at 6 and our food did not come until 7:50. We then immediately asked for checks and boxes. During the entire wait our waters were never filled, there was no apology for the wait or updating on how the food was coming along, was never asked if the appetizers or drinks were good, literally nothing. On top of that when finally served our dinner, with an attitude of course, we were never once asked how our food was, if everything was correct or if we could get anything else. To top it all off we asked for boxes like mentioned and they were never brought I had to grab them myself and ask the bar to refill my water. The served the automatically added her 20% tip and her service was a 10% tip at best. Absolutely disgusted by the service and lack of care or attention. We will never return and quite frankly you guys didn't deserve our business to begin with. read more

We don't live in Lincoln, but get there once a month (give or take). We do go to the Hay Market area when there. You can find other reviews of places we have visited. We had been next door at the Mill several times and commented on how we needed to try the place next door. We did and have been back twice more in the past 6-8 months. Understand that he building is old, for Lincoln, brick walls and wood floors. During the summer there is a small patio for eating outside. We have tried a couple of their dishes and each have settled on favorites. Mine is the Lasagna. The staff has always been open and helpful and service is above average. The atmosphere and staff both set a friendly and positive place to go. I really enjoy the Lasagna not just the flavor but portions are generous for me. I notice the texture of this dish, something I don't normally see. Another favorite is there is the bread. Yes, some is part of the dinner, but we always order the bread with oil. We have commented that we might just order the bread on days not hungry enough for dinner. There are numerous wines available, but we have generally gone with the house wine. Once the bruschetta came out with whole tomatoes I knew it was all downhill from there. All of the salads were a soppy combination of iceberg lettuce and cheese, and all 3 of our pasta dishes were lackluster. I'm not kidding when I say I could have made a better pizza frying a frozen Hot Pocket on a Weber grill. You know it's bad when the best part of the meal is unanimously the free bread. We ate dinner at Vincenzo's recently on the last night of a 3-day stay in Lincoln. It had been close to 100 degrees every day we were there, the house we were thinking of buying turned out to have a fatal flaw, and none of our restaurant meals had been anything beyond "okay." To top things off, I didn't feel like Italian food that evening! But just the bread and salad tasted fabulous, and along with the ice water, made me feel a lot better! And then the throw-caution-to-the-wind stuffed manicotti I ordered was simply over the top in deliciousness! We finished off the caloric extravaganza by splitting a delish creme brûlée. But the hostess kind of influenced my entire experience. Now, on to the food! I started off with the arancini and it was excellent. I had never tried it before and, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. Crispy on the outside and meaty cheese on the inside. The marinara dipping sauce went well with it. My main course was lasagna and it was solid. They used a generous portion of sausage in the layers and it hit the spot. All in all, the food was good and my waiter was good. Overall really good food and I would recommend that you give me a try went to town. The bread was wonderful and warm the staff was very friendly and accommodating. For me I was pleasantly surprised with the overall quality of the seafood that was in my dish as it contains shrimp and scallops, which the shrimp was not soggy and perfectly cooked in my opinion. For me the only thing keeping it from five stars really was that I think they used a little too much cheese which dampen the flavor of an overall very good dish. Again this is just my opinion whereas I find myself being somewhat of a purist and heavily addicted to great Italian food . The menu is good but the Alfredo is literally tasteless. It doesn't taste bad, it simply has no taste at all. First time in Lincoln. I def recommend this restaurant friendly staff good wine good food.

Vincenzo's is a family favorite, and we love to gather here in the winter before Husker basketball games. Their menu is full of Italian classics that are delicious and hearty. We've also brought our small children here and felt welcome, which can't be said of every nice place in Lincoln. When we are all here we love sharing a pitcher of the house chianti. I am no wine expert, but enjoy how it pairs with the anchovies I always get on my Caesar salad. On our most recent visit I had the lasagna special, which included Italian sausage and pepperoni. As I was planning a long run the next morning, it hit the spot! Our kids shared a thin crust pizza, which is done St Louis style (thin crust win provel cheese). I don't know if another place in town that does such a good St Louis style pizza! Check it out. read more

Usually this restaurant is not open on Saturday afternoon but today there are graduation parties across the city. I went with my usual Chicken Parmigian with spaghetti and the house salad. This site is older and has character with regards to the wall hangings and the walk through from the outside. The house salad wasn't spectacular but the Chicken Parmigian was excellent, just the right amount of sauce and topped with cheese that didn't smother the spaghetti. Service overall was good and the check was accurate. I will be returning back soon. read more

Monday, sunny day. The restaurant is beautifully lit by the sun. When I went in, it immediately became clear that the restaurant is very old. But in the sunshine, he looked very clean and comfortable. The waiters are nice, they bring food quickly. Italians and those who lived and ate in Italy, you can't go here :-) If you want to eat, then this is definitely not here. The guys tried to cook Italian dishes, the products were fresh and good. But they don't know how to cook Italian dishes. Alas! Come to this place for the atmosphere, in this regard you will get what you want. I came into here for the first time last night and it was a great experience. It was a busier night but we were sat quickly. The waiter Cole was great he was very personable and was able to deal with my high maintenance mother nicely. He was quick with refilling our drinks whenever needed and the food came out hot. I ordered the Lombardi and the Chicken Soto, they were both delicious. I will always come back here every time I visit Lincoln. I loved the old time feel of the restaurant as well the old pictures and building set the feel for the evening. read more
