The place is small and loud with bright colors and art work all over the walls. The menu isn't huge with starters, bbq, burgers, sandwiches, entrees etc with specials that change. When you walk in you are hit with the amazing bbq smell so real smoking is going on in the back and after carefully looking over the menu with all the good items I opted for the Deacon which is smoked brisket, bacon, cheddar cheese which comes with frys. I personally didn't like any of the bbq sauces on the table which is ok because I like naked smoked meats. The brisket sandwich was very good on a fresh roll with melty cheddar cheese and if a couple onion rings were topped this would be next level for the sandwich. The brisket was tender but not melt in your with a nice pink smoke ring but way too lean, see my pictures because I would have like to have a little more fat for flavor. The frys looked house cut and and pretty good. The rib platter at the other looked pretty F'n good by the way. Overall this was a nice place to get some bbq in downtown Monroe but be prepared to wait for a table at peak times because it's very popular.

Like so many small food businesses, looks like their reputation has suffered a little from unscrupulous third party delivery service - remember the restaurants have little control over these so I do think it's best to find the food truck and get it straight from them. I don't like all the Styrofoam and plastic involved, the Pandemic really has generated so much unrecyclable garbage. Still, please don't litter. I also want to warn you, this tasty delicious food is messy. We spilled some lobster juice somewhere in the car and have tried everything to eliminate the lingering odor to no avail.
