The staff advised me that latex can have a very short life - but I had them add the solution that extends their float and they've been floating for a few days now. Dang I used to walk past this all the time and now see it's closing. Well it was a good store, they've been here for ages I think. Always depressing to see longstanding brick and mortars shut down because of Amazon. It's like a dose of reality. They have costumes, party supplies, honestly I got stuff to decorate my new place like Christmas lights and lanterns. Some random themed stuff. I got a fake press pass for a Hollywood themed party so I'm gonna see if it works to crash these red carpet events. Bet it would. Prices are fair it's just no one shops in person anymore. Sad times. Party stores have been hit hard since the pandemic with large gatherings being frowned upon this past year and a half. A lot of Party City's parted ways. This business, luckily, was able to stay afloat. It was my first time stopping by here to check out this party store. I had needed balloons for an event and had opened up the handy dandy Yelp app to find this store. I called to see if they had helium to blow up my personal balloons and they did. I walked in with my balloons and few minutes later, I was out of there. They have aisle for different categories depending on what you want your theme of the party to be. I was happy with my experience here. Came here to get balloons to celebrate my sister and my cat's birthday. The staff working at the balloons section were very helpful in answering my questions (if they had number ballots, the price of each, etc.). I appreciate how the man and lady working there helped guide me in selecting the colors and describing what colors looked the same or different when blown up. If you're looking for balloons, party favors, party decor, or anything of the like, you will most likely find it at Vine American Party Store. This is by far the largest party store that I have ever stepped foot in, and I found myself nearly forgetting what I was looking for multiple times because I was so intrigued by their vast inventory of items that I didn't even realize existed, yet wanted and needed. When I visited this store, my goal was to find a generic birthday balloon, but I ended up getting a large custom birthday balloon along with a few party favors. The staff members were very friendly, and provided me with guidance each time I needed to find a certain item within their store. Been coming to this store for past fifteen years plus. Have purchased many balloons for personal use and some expensive Mylar deco balloons for celebrity kids parties. Have rented helium tanks. Most recently April 2019 for my own party. Came on Wednesday and bought one #1 gold Mylar balloon and six latex balloons with dog paw prints for my dog's first birthday party. I live half a mile from this shop, so an hour later after purchasing it. When Store was closed. The balloon completely deflated and i couldn't use it for the party. Also; not to mention, when they were inflating the latex balloons half of them popped (perhaps because they are old) I came in today Friday to explain and was told their policy doesn't guarantee their balloons. If they are full when you leave you are on your own. I explained I'm a long time customer. Was told sorry nothing we can do. As a result of this, I am not planning to come back since they sold me a defective $14.95 plus tax balloon -- which also upset me a lot i wasn't able to use for the party Consider this place. It's a fun store with lots of supplies but don't expect friendly customer service. They all seem like they are iron deficient or have unresolved anger issues. S items you can prob get cheaper on Amazon. I called about a specific character balloon I wanted and they said they were out. Then I went on the same day- maybe 2 hours later - to the store to see what they had and of course, they had tons of that specific character balloon I wanted. While I did see the other horrible reviews, I came by for the convenience since it's the closest party store to my house. I would've gone to Party City but it was a longer drive and I was in a time crunch. I came by to get some regular latex balloons and had some of my own to get them filled. They are quite pricey ($1.65-1.95) per balloon and $1.50 to fill your own balloons (latex). The cheapest foil balloon was $4. I would have given this place more stars since they did have what I needed, but the service wasn't that great. Unfriendly staff and an older lady who is rude and got irritated at me when I asked her to explain what I was being charged for since it wasn't very clear. The employee filling the balloons should've told me that I was going to be charged $1.50 each for filling my own balloons. I ended up getting 8 balloons for around $18. Maybe I should've gone to Party City....Never coming back here. read more

Their 7-day return policy is so customer service unfriendly. I purchased some packaged balloons for my daughters birthday party, which we ended up not using. All items I wanted to return were still in the sealed original packaging, and all were still available for purchase in the store. All they had to do is put them right back on the rack. I got busy with work and life and wasn't able to return to the store until about 2 weeks after my purchase and was flat out refused for a return, even for store credit. This type of stuff makes it impossible to support a "local business" when the Amazon return/customer service experience is so much better. read more

Absolutely a worst quality party store I have ever experienced! Your better off going to the dollar store and get the same quality for much cheaper! I was told that the reason the quality is bad might be because they order everything from China and the USA is going through all that China drama. Seriously! Since I wasn't able to come into the store (Covid problems), she went above and beyond taking pictures of party supplies and texting them to me. Trying to order from this store this morning left a horrible taste in my mouth. I called to order a bouquet in the $175 range with a description of what I wanted, a mix of confetti/birthday mylars, latex and stars. The man on the phone informed me that the confetti only last 4 hours (very considerate) but so my vision was changed a little. I told them the could pick what the want, and gave them a suggestion to maybe use 24 inch balloons at the bottom to get up to my price point. The guy was extremely unhelpful and short with me for absolutely no reason. I understand being busy but at least communicate that. He left me on hold for 8 minutes so I hung up and called back. The woman who picked up went to transfer my call, but then came back to the line and in an passive aggressive manner told me I needed to have a clear vision before I called back. This is the second time I visit this place since is the closest party supply near my house and I I am running out of time for my party this weekend.I was planning to buy all my party supply at this place , but I had a super bad experience with the staff there since the first time I entered this place. Hideous personalities, so rude & they are scamming people I got sold a raggedy wig and they wouldn't let me return it because it looked used, mind you that's why I was returning it. Selling product that doesn't match the photo on the packaging, used, old crusty merch. Aside from that they have a sign that says returns within 7 days as long as it was taxed or some stupid like that everything I tried to return was taxed but some how still final sale. I tried returning ONLY HOURS LATER I came in and they KEPT the return with them and told me to come back and speak to a manager. When I came back the manager couldn't be bothered. Her attitude was so gross and didn't even wanna entertain me at all. Recently came here to purchase Mardi Gras decorations and supplies! This was the only physical store that had a lot to offer! I did order some items on Amazon but sometimes you still want to physically touch and see some items! They also do balloons here and they seem to really have this down as well! For all you event planners, this place is a godsend. Yes, the customer service isn't the best and you may need to circle the store to find what you're looking for but trust me, you will find it. I can't tell you how many places I called around for sparklers - and here it was, at only a few bucks for 4. I had to grab extra because it was so hard to find. I do sketch comedy right around the corner at the Pack Theater and was stressing over needing a few last minute props. I found this place on Yelp - just a half mile away. I hoped they would have the glitter hats that I needed. Oh. They had that and more. There is a virtual treasure trove of costumes and props in a stress-free location with incredible pricing. Anyone who has gone to one of the Halloween stores for some basic stuff knows you're buying two things and spending $30. Not here. And the variety and amount of stuff is terrific. I was in and out in ten minutes and was still on time for tech rehearsal. I told my team about this place, I told the other two teams, and then I told my director who directs multiple teams. Appalled. It is one thing to mess up an order, it is entirely another thing to have complete apathy about it. May 12 I ordered two rose gold balloons with rose gold ribbon and rose gold weights. I called before I showed up to confirm that it was ready and was not told that anything was wrong. I showed up and there was one rose gold and one magenta. Again, no one said anything, probably hoping I wouldn't notice. Then when I said something I was given attitude about it. The guy went into the back and found no more rose gold. Again, I was very clear when I placed this order a month ago. Now this place is not cheap but I try to support local businesses when I can but when the customer service is awful why bother? I can get the right thing cheaper at Party City. Was that the end? Oh no. Then the woman who took my order came out. No apology. Erica informed me that one of the rose gold weights was falling apart. Matter of fact. As if that was my fault or my problem. The male employee said I could pick out two new weights (not a matching color) and he'd refund the money. Then Erica had the gall to inform me that the two that I picked were 2.99 instead of the $1.75 ones I had paid for. I informed her that I would be getting the more expensive ones and I would also be getting the refund. So the guy gives me an invoice for the refund and tells me to go to the cashier. I hand it to the woman and she looks at me and says "Is that how you spell refund?" I said "I don't know. I didn't write it because I don't work here." Did she think that I was some new employee asking for a refund? A stranger trying to scam $3.83 out of her? Will never use them against. Will tell all the event planners I know not to use them again.
