Vine & Brew focuses on quality product. Their shelves are not fancy and the interior is nothing special, but what's on their shelves is one of the best selections in town. While their focus is obviously wine, they have a very nice stock of craft beers and a burgeoning selection of whiskeys and spirits. read more

Vine and Brew has a good selection of beers at the lowest cost in the area and the best service anywhere! The beer selection is very good with a lot of MI brewers and some of the more common craft beers. Vine and Brew does get some of the good stuff every now and then, but I do wish they had a bit larger selection of Belgian and German beer or some insane beers from Lost Abbey, Russian River, and Mikkeller. I'm a bit promiscuous with my beer, so I do like being able to make a mixed-six from the selections without committing to an entire 6-pack. The wine selection is OK, but I really don't drink wine, so I can't comment on it any further. Vine and brew does stock some artisanal products that go well with beer and wine. The MI-made fleur-de-sel was a treasure! The prices are the best in the area, period! I bought some Stone Imperial Russian Stout for around $7 a bottle while it sold for nearly $9-10 elsewhere. You will be hard pressed to find better prices. Finally, the service here is always pleasant and helpful. The two that run the store are always happy to help you find what you are looking for without upselling! They are really knowledgeable and passionate about beer and teach me a thing or two from time to time. Finally, they do social media the right way. Rather than bombard your accounts with junk and banal quips, they usually post short, informative spots on what's new in the store and any events that are of interest to their customers. In all, I really like Vine and Brew. The only thing keeping them from a 5 star rating is a bit larger selection and slightly more elite beers on a consistent basis. So impressed by Vine & Brew's wine and beer selection and their service. Huge selection of wine and many of their wines had handwritten, detailed descriptions. Who knew a place so close to Oades Big 10 would carry liquors that Oades doesn't? This place is great but suffers a bit from having a bad name and nondescript storefront. It DOES carry a lot of varieties of wine and beer, but you would never guess they carry a lot of liquor. You can find unusual things here that I haven't seen anywhere else in the state. The service is good with knowledgeable folks who can discuss different aspects of the products with you. Many of the employees also tend bar at restaurants in the greater Lansing area, and I have found some good places to eat by talking to them. If you are looking for unusual hooch for your bar this is the place to go. They also have some local cheeses, sausage, etc. in the back. The frozen french bread was surprisingly good. read more

Great local business that you should definitely stop in and support if you like great wine and beer. Excellent selection of both, with a wide price range on the wine, so you're bound to find something that suits your occasion. Beer is build your own 6-pack should you so desire, and there is no upsell on individual bottles versus full 6-packs. Curt and Leslie are the owners, and Curt has been in the store every single time I've come in. They're very dedicated to the business, and they keep a well-stocked and clean store. I admire them for that. They also arrange for cheese/food/beer/wine tastings occasionally. I unfortunately haven't been able to make one yet, but it's nice to know that they're available. Side-note: They have a wonderful TV commercial. I think this is one of the only Lansing-area businesses that has an efficient, informative, to-the-point commercial without any silly jingles or obnoxious shouting. Thank you Vine and Brew! Great selection, great prices, and equal opportunity to access rare/limited beers. While there are beer stores in the area that have great selection, they usually increase the prices and/or have waiting lists. Vine and Brew charges the suggested retail price (or less) and gives everyone an opportunity at every beer. While there are some wine stores in the area that have decent selection, Vine and Brew competes and usually has better prices. This is my favorite place to get beer. Keep an eye out on Facebook for when they put the rare/limited beers (e.g. Bourbon County Brand) on the shelf and run over there as fast as you can. No lists and fair prices! read more

Great selection for a smallish place! Build-your-own sixer is amazing at this classy brew shop: good prices and they have every-dang-thing. Wine variety is also top notch. There's a few nice odds & ends too, like sauces and local cheeses. The guy who's almost always behind the counter (must be the owner) is very nice and knows a lot about his product. Vine & Brew runs a good facebook page, check 'em out if you haven't! They post wine specials, tasting schedules, and Cheers quotes. Your life needs more Cheers quotes, trust me. read more

This place is awesome! They have the biggest variety of wine and speciality beer in the Greater Lansing area. Honestly the prices are reasonable, my friend got a bottle of wine and a liter of IPA for $20. The wine is organized by country, there is a great selection of Michigan wine and you can build your own 6 packs. My friend and I had a blast building our six pack, the variety of beer was crazy. We settled on an apple bourbon cider (2), pumpkin cider (2) a sticky toffee pudding beer and a banana bread beer. All of them were fantastic! We got a bottle of table wine from Black Star Farms, an italian Roscato, and a Halloween wine from Argentina. They also have a small selection of interesting food. In the freezer there is sausage from Eastern Market in Detroit, some bacon, juices and other non alcoholic drink, candy and chips that you haven't seen anywhere else. Curt, the owner, and any other staff member are more than happy to help you select a wine for your self of as a gift. They are a wealth of knowledge and super friendly. Support this local business! I love this place. I made friends with one of the staff and we chat every time I go in. He's super super knowledgeable about beer. Vine & Brew has mix and match beer, and they don't charge more for it. I recently had this GREAT seasonal cherry beer they had (Lakefront Brewery Cherry), so they for sure get some interesting and delicious stuff in. I took my mom here when she was visiting, and she really liked their wine selection. They also have snack foods and some cheeses to go with the wine. It's clean and well organized. It took us about a year of living right down the road to finally pay this place a visit and I wish we'd come sooner. read more

Hands down the BEST and ONLY place to get real quality beer and wine. To boot, the prices are comparable to or sometimes even cheaper than those at Meijer. Everything is carefully curated, and the staff are extremely knowledgable. They got everything from local special release beers to hard-to-find European wine. My friends from France found new amazing wines and ciders from France that they had never even seen back home! This place is great - pass it on! read more
