Love this place! Even when I come in looking for something stupid specific and they by chance don't have it (like every other place) (but also rare, their selection is outstanding!) I leave in higher spirits than when I came in. Promised they will have it for me & go out of the way to call when they do or give the best suggestions for a substitute. This is my go-to booze shop in the Lansing area. They have an incredible selection and the staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. There have been multiple occasions when I needed a specialty liquor or a hard-to-find beer or wine and On the Rocks had it, and the folks who work there are reliably great at helping me choose gifts for people whose tastes are different from my own. One of the most customer friendly stores I have been in. They really want the customer to get whatever the need without over selling a product. Rocky took care all my questions and when I could not find my keys helped go over my steps in the store (I had locked them in my truck) offered to cal someone to help (I had AAA come to save me). If you cannot find what you are looking for at On The Rocks, you won't find it anywhere in Lansing! Saying they have a HUGE selection of beer, wine, and spirits would be an understatement! (Especially wine!) They keep their beer in their beer cave and/or coolers so you can always find it cold and ready to drink. The owners are amazing and their customer service is impeccable! They always have the best recommendations if you are looking to try something new, and they usually get all of the new products in as soon as they are available. This is an amazing liquor store. Excellent selection of craft beers, beer, liquor and wine. Also plenty of convenience store items so you can pick up those last minute food and party needs. Love that you can build your own six-pack. The selection is great but the owners and workers are even better. Family owned - they will go over and above to make sure you have a great experience. The first time I visited, I shared info about the craft beers I liked and the next time I went in they had ordered them and had them in stock. This has got to be the greater Lansing area's best kept secret!! We stumbled on this while trying to find good French wine. We hit many of the traditional "great liquor stores" in the area but none have the same level of variety and selection. I haven't specifically looked for specialty liquors, but the floor to ceiling stock would leave me to believe you could find just about anything. This is my favorite liquor store in town. They have a fantastic selection, both of affordable and high-end liquor, beer, and wine. They're one of the only places around with a good selection of bitters, good vermouth, speciality liquors like Chartreuse, etc. Their prices are reasonable, and the employees were very friendly and helpful.
