We got to this place and were a bit timid. It looked like a house from the outside but, as you walk in, it's a wonderful looking store and winery. Everyone there was very nice to us. They were very genuine and forward with any answers they had for our questions. They serve cheese and crackers, kinda like smaller charcuterie boards so you can enjoy as you wine taste and they sell their own wine glasses as souvenirs inside the shop. For the wine tasting, they give you a menu of wines with their flavor profiles and a piece of paper where you write your desired sips to give them so they may prepare it for you as you go to your seat. They have outside seating and during the fall it is an amazing experience! I can't recommend enough coming to visit this place at least once, if you're in the area! It's a cute little place to come visit and the wine is very good! I recommend the A Maize 'N Blue if you like sweet wines!

The inside of the winery was super cozy. They had a seating section outside which was wonderful because it wasn't too cold or two hot, the weather was perfect. They offered a variety of wines. These included a preset menu or we had the option of choosing the wines we wanted to try. We also bought a charcuterie board which consisted of cheeses and deli meats. I bought some jam to spice it up. The wines and food were great! Finally the girls who were serving were super friendly. I would love to go back when we visit Michigan again

From the wide variety of wine to frozen wine slushees in seasonal flavors...and let's not forget a full charcuterie menu! The hours aren't the greatest being open only a few days a week and closing at 8pm, but the atmosphere and everything it has to offer guests does help make up for that at least a little bit. You can even purchase local crafts and products! If you love wine and are ever in the area, this gem is a must try!

This is the type of wine that is dangerous because it just tastes like juice! They even have multiple flavors of wine slushies. They do not serve food here, but they do have some snacks if you need to temper all that alcohol. Tastings are very reasonable priced, and the location in great right in downtown Marshall. We stopped in a for a tasting after grabbing dinner around the corner at Schuler's, which made for the perfect evening. We definitely plan to return! Yelp won't let me add their website since it's Facebook, but this location only has a Facebook page, not an actual website. For more information, go to their Facebook page with the name "Sage Creek Winery of Marshall".

When I walked in I was greeted there was only one worker as the counter which to me look difficult but she was keeping up. They do have flights unfortunately it's more like two sips - I'm more of a fan give me all my pores at once so I can chit chat mingle if I have other people with me luckily was just myself. I tried all the semi-sweet selections which I was only a fan of one but I did purchase my mother a semi-sweet that wasn't too bad. Not really food here per say more of snacks than anything so if you're hungry make sure you eat beforehand Just a suggestion. What was funny as somebody went to pop some popcorn and the lights will start flickering so just be aware of that took me off guard when I saw it. Only thing that I probably didn't like about what the waitress did was when she retrieved the glasses from the top She put her fingers inside every glass except for mines because then I would have said something. Basically she needs a stool It's hopefully they incorporate that next time. Would I come again Not really because the wines did not wow me but if you're more of a dry type person then you might like this place. Side note they have a airplane somewhere on the property but I believe that requires a private tour. Happy drinking!!!

I ordered a gin & tonic with a lime and a hotdog. The dog NEVER ARRIVED despite two "Is there a problem of some sort?"inquiries. The response each time was "It will be right out." The gin wasn't remotely similar to any gin I've had previously - even the bargain basement brands. In addition to the unpleasant taste, it was grossly overpriced, as is everything else on the drink list. I was charged for the tonic as well - which is another first. I'm surprised they didn't charge for the ice cubes and add a glass rental & washing fee. To top off the evening, when the bill arrived (10 minutes after I requested it) the waitress had the gall to present me with a tip screen first (I chose the No Tip option) followed by the bill screen. This place adds a 3% fee for credit card payment without disclosing that on the front door and on the menu/drink list, which violates the Michigan Consumer Protection statute as well as credit card issuer rules. Needless to say, I won't be returning - and I won't be recommending the GLD to anyone else either.

On weekends it's supposed to be busier and the back bar by the field is open. Go early and find a spot. The cider is pretty good as well, does not taste super artificial fake apple tasting which is a plus. The donuts are obvi good but they are like cinnamon sugar (powdered sugar).

I walk up to the counter, ask for two apple fritters, and the lady hits me with "That'll be eight bucks." Eight bucks! For TWO pastries! I'm standing there like, "What, do these fritters come with a trust fund?" Don't get me wrong--they were good, but not eight-dollars-good. For that price I want them to cure my seasonal depression. Then the bathrooms--holy hell. You ever walk into a place and think, "Oh, I guess the zombie apocalypse already happened"? That was the vibe. Floors sticky enough to rip your shoes off, smell like someone's been fermenting cider in there since the '90s. I'm not saying I'm a bathroom snob, but for a place that charges artisan-pastry prices, maybe throw some bleach around once in a while. Overall--yeah, I'll probably still go back. I'm a sucker for cider mills. But Uncle John, buddy, if you're gonna rob me blind for fritters, at least make sure I'm not scared to wash my hands afterward.
