Zero help or effort to fix - if you remote work- DO NOT STAY THERE - Dock hands are incompetent and could care less. They are zero help so be prepared to do everything yourself Never again!

If I could give this marina no stars I would! Horrible stay! Wasted five nights of my annual boat…read morevacation here, wish I had a do-over! Our slip was near the public restroom which is conveniently located next to a liquor store. This attracts the local homeless, drunks, druggies and other undesirables! This is Martha's Vineyard? Experience: 1. No Customer Service. The Dock Master (DM) and his staff are very inattentive with a love it or leave it attitude. No dock hands to help tie up, simply a girl with a clipboard who checks you in so they can immediately charge your credit card. When I told the DM our slip with a beautiful view of the public restroom was disgusting, he offered a slip near the entrance of the harbor that was rocking and rolling...couldn't stand up without holding on. When you offer two crappy choices and tell folks you provided options, that's not okay! The DM reminded me that this was a public dock, not a private marina.. It's run by the government, no surprise it had a DMV feel! I guess that makes looking at a public restroom for a week's vacation okay. 2. I vacationed on an episode of COPS! When we told the DM about the vagrants, he gave me the Chief of Police's phone number and told me he had already met with on the matter. He believed if I contacted the Chief, it might be helpful...I didn't out of fear of retaliation from my new, high-class neighbors. We did end up calling the police the following day to remove a drugged-out guy who was sitting on the bench on the dock behind our boat screaming obscenities at 10pm. 3. A lovely view of the urinals! My sister has a larger boat and was placed in a slip directly behind the dodgy public restroom. She has two little girls who all enjoyed a view of the men's urinals! Can you imagine waiting all year for a beautiful Martha's Vineyard vacation only to end up watching drunks urinate? She spent two days there before the DM moved her to a different slip. At least it was an educational vacation for the girls who learned about the drug problem in Oak Bluffs! 4. Not a great marina for boats traveling together! The Marina's layout is less than optimal when traveling with a group of boats. Each year we travel with a family flotilla made up of five-boats. Most of the time we can dock near one another. With the layout of this marina we had to walk a half mile to see each other. We made reservations months in advanced and requested to be closer to each other, it's obvious that this wasn't considered. Because we were so far apart, it really fragmented the families and didn't allow for group fun. 5. Dirty Boat! Because the slips are so close to the road, your boat is constantly filthy! If you don't mind black, sticky road dirt, you're okay! 6. No Privacy! The public sidewalk/ boardwalk is up against the bulkhead. People visiting Oak Bluffs in need of a restroom stop to peer inside you boat. You feel like you're in a fishbowl! 7. No Amenities! Oh yeah, there was one, THE PUBLIC RESTROOM! The rest of the island was beautiful...Edgartown, Vineyard Haven! I will need some time to consider if I will ever go back to MV to try different location.

I dealt directly with the owner, Dave McShane, who is a licensed Sea Fox dealer. He reached out to…read moreme on having a trolling motor installed on my 2023 Sea Fox 2280 Commander as he was referred by M&M Marine where I recently purchased the boat. He told me he would look into the types of trolling motors that are most commonly installed and would get back to me. He never did this, told me to bring the boat to his location, and that he would install a trolling motor. No estimates from him. He placed the onus on me to tell him the type of trolling motor. After several emails, where I included Sea Fox in the email threads, and also did research on my own and then recommended a product to him, he then refused my business and told me to go elsewhere. I have had boats well over 50 years and this is the worst experience I have ever encountered with a marine business that services boats.

Have to agree with reviews of Matt K and Will S. Not a good experience. I went there in 2022 to…read morelook at Sea Fox boats, which I first saw earlier in the year in Charleston, SC. Well built. Left because I found Dave McShane rude and condescending when answering my questions. I eventually found a 2019 Sea Fox in CT in excellent shape in spring of 2023 and bought it. But you need to get parts from your State's authorized dealer. Sea Fox will not take orders directly. I got a part last year from a young man on their staff, very nice, no issues. This year I called for a replacement T-top anchor light. Rosa McShane took my order and said she would have it shipped directly to my house, since I'm 70 miles roundtrip from their site, and it was an easy fix. She took my CC info and sent me an email saying it would be 2 weeks. 4 weeks later, no part, so I called and Rosa was 'sorry to hear that and she would talk to Sea Fox in Charleston when they (Sea Fox staff) return on Monday July 7th.' Not being able to go out at night fishing for the past month, and wanting to go out on the boat for the fireworks on July 4th, (hundreds of boats out, so an anchor light is a must, especially with the harbormaster!) I had my marina put in an OEM light on top of the T-top. Very nice, more solid than the original. I called Rosa and told her that, and that I wished to be refunded. She said I would need to get the part first and send it to them before I got a refund, but she would also check and see if Sea Fox sent it to them instead of me. Well I obviously had no part to send back (at my expense!), and would I ever get it? Turns out Sea Fox did send it to McShane Yacht Sales, so they had it, but never called me. I had to call after a month, then they looked around and found it. She said she could overnite it to me (my expense, and I already paid shipping), but I already had the new one. So it was In her possession anyway...but she told me Sea Fox charges them a $20 restocking fee and I'd have to pay that. I asked her why I would need to pay a $20 restock fee for a part I never received, and why wouldn't they be calling Sea Fox and asked for a waiver on it since Sea Fox screwed up, not me, nor McShane YS for that matter. She said she'd have Dave call me. Long story short, Dave McShane said I was being unreasonable fighting over $20. Wasn't he doing the same? Wouldn't he fight for a customer and tell Sea Fox they messed up and the customer, nor he the dealer should pay them $20 for their mistake? I was hoping so. Nope, he told me "You can call Trump!" (???). Today I got a refund check for the part LESS the $20. I'm tempted to go to Small Claims court, where McShane or Sea Fox Boats would also cover the $40.00 filing fee, and you can also get triple damages for an issue not resolved in 30 days. Dave M. told me 'fine, I have a piece of paper here that shows you ordered a Special order part from us'. So what? A light is a 'special order'? Doesn't matter what kind of order it is. I didn't get what i was promised in 2 weeks. He also said 'you can come down here and get your part', and that's when he hung up on me. But I'll just post this review here, and a few other sites as well. Lesson learned. Tom H
