Christophe is seriously the most professional, knowledgeable, helpful and thorough photographer around! It all started when I sent a mass message request for quotes from various photographers around the Napa area. I had planned to do a surprise proposal for my now fiance and the responses I received were unhelpful and dry. Many responses were received such as "500 flat rate" or "not available". Well, Chris responded with a very thorough and inquiring message. He sent many many suggestions of places to propose at, what the area is like, what the staff is like ... man I can't name the countless details he has discussed with me. Point being, he went ABOVE AND BEYOND what nobody else would. I had a few places in mind to propose at, but these suggestions Christophe made were fantastic. I'm talking vast mountain views and intimate settings. Open vineyards as far as the eye can see where no one is around but just you and that special person. He has done us a 100/10 service in helping plan and set up the surprise engagement. Christophe is special to me in the way that he has made this whole process a comfortable and exciting one. I was very nervous throughout the whole process and due to some miscommunication, I was devastated but Chris cleared everything up for me and the other parties involved, and from there I knew he was a man with a good heart that only wants the best for his clients. In preparation of the surprise engagement, he gave very very thorough and specific details. Like, there's no way you can go wrong!! It was so comforting knowing step by step what I should do and how to help my fiance get the best shots without compromising the surprise in any way. My husband and I recently eloped and I'm so glad we chose Christophe as our photographer. I had originally started planning a traditional wedding and found the lack of price transparency and slow response times of vendors incredibly frustrating. My boyfriend recently worked with Christophe on our proposal at Sodaro Winery in Napa. From the start, Christophe was extremely helpful, providing a ton of guidance on the perfect spot / time of day. He gave helpful tips, quite literally step by steps, to have a picture-perfect & memorable proposal. He was extremely professional throughout the process - responsive with communication and with discretion in his messages so as to not spill the beans accidentally. On the day of, he met with my boyfriend to confirm the spot and review the game plan just before. We hired Christophe per our coordinator's recommendation to shoot our October'17 wedding in Napa at the Meritage. He wasn't listed specifically as one of the preferred vendors, but when we asked about him they said he works there all the time and is highly recommended. We purchased a package that included engagement photos as well, and due to a last minute (extreme) heat wave that hit Napa last June, he was willing and flexible enough to move it to Muir Woods. It was a great opportunity to get to know him and his style before our big day. He went out of his way to stay with us for several hours in order to capture some amazing shots without all the tourists in the backdrop :) It wasn't required, or even in the contract but he also showed up to our rehearsal at the Meritage the day before our wedding. There was quite a bit of drama and stress surrounding our wedding date (10/21) since the Napa fires were actually still burning on that date. We weren't even sure we could have the wedding until basically the day of, and several of Christophe's shoots had been cancelled. But he showed up to ours completely committed and eager to capture all the best shots of every moment of the day. His assistant was terrific as well. Christophe works quickly, efficiently, and takes note of every detail you might not even think of until it's too late. I was so glad he had some of my bridesmaids remove their jeans(!!) underneath their robes or else the pictures would have looked absurd... My husband tells me he was even lying on the floor of their suite to capture a few cool photos of the guys doing a "cheers" with their drinks. Totally willing to go above and beyond, and we would highly recommend for anyone getting engaged or married in wine country. Our wedding's main vendor focus was the photographer. We had a destination wedding in San Francisco, and we wanted a photographer to capture us at many different landmark locations around the city as possible, and Christophe more than pulled it off - he was incredible. Originally, we had gone with a different photographer who ended up needing to cancel a month prior to our wedding, which made us scramble to find a new photographer. Being out of town, this added a lot of extra pressure for us. When we saw Christophe's portfolio, we knew we wanted to go with him rather than any of the other photographers our previous photographer had recommended. He facilitated many skype calls with us, to get up to speed on our vision, and provided us with a detailed and practical timeline that included all of our photography wishes. Once we met him in person, he was personable, friendly, funny and made everyone feel really comfortable in front of the camera. He'd show us a few photos throughout the day, and just the little preview screen on his camera made us SO excited to see the final results. He was able to control crowds, the wedding guests and guide my husband and I nicely through the day, and was so prepared for everything (this even included hairspray!). Upon returning to our hometown for our larger reception less than a week later, we received 11 photos that we were able to share at our reception. We've now received all the photos, and they are so incredible. Absolutely everyone that I have seen since sharing the photos on social media, has said they are the best wedding photos they've ever seen. Getting engaged was one of the most special days of my life. I keep reliving that day and all of the happiness I had in that moment my fiance asked me to spend our lives together.
