I left a number of years ago after I finally had it with terribly botched fillings and was tired of going back in for fixes, which always resulted in more charges. After a majorly botched filling, in which I went elsewhere to fix, and sent photos back of the terrible job, the office refused to take responsibility and refund me. I never went back. The changes in dental assistants and front office staff over the years yielded less and less friendly/knowledgeable staff. My parents/family finally are leaving due to a last straw of billing issues. The front office likes to overcharge as if we, as patients, owe them the largest debt ever found. After 6 months of chasing, they finally admitted we were accidently charged twice. Another several months passed and still no credit - this is basically theft. Just dishonesty all around that office.

My wife wanted Invisalign to fix an overbite, and they told us it could be fixed. Then at the end of the treatment, they tell her bone is causing the issue and there isn't much they can do. When my wife asked if there is anything she could do, they mentioned creating space between the teeth so there would be room for the teeth to shift. After they did that, they told my wife that now there is a huge issue and that it was her fault, not them, for pushing the issue, even though they recommended it for fixing her overbite. We now have a mess on our hands trying to fix this, as her teeth are worse than when she came. In addition, the doctor is rough, unfriendly, and the rest of the staff seem to be learning on the job. Sometime you pay for what you get.

Three times we have had issues with billing including a time they charged us $200+ for a service that was completely covered by insurance. They reversed the charge after, but it was an unnecessary inconvenience. Two other times we were given prices for treatment plans but were charged different amounts than what was written. Their reason being that it was the other dentist's quotes and this dentist charges a different way. So why not schedule us an appointment with the dentist who gave us the initial quote? Confusing. Overall the services done were adequate, the workers are for the most part friendly, and the establishment is clean. They also have a small coffee station and kids books/toys for entertainment. I thought they were great on Instagram lol to this day they are really funny and make great reels. So when I initially called to make the appt and had a sub par phone experience, I was let down. The woman who I spoke to on the phone was cold and the opposite of personable. It was a really awkward phone conversation and I felt uncomfortable as if I was annoying her. Still, I brushed this aside because I wanted to like this office. I wanted my first search to be the one. I will say that the day we went for our appt was Tuesday and a snow day. I was aware via their instagram that they were opening a few hours late. Fortunately this didn't affect our appt time as ours was in the afternoon. When I got there I was really put off. They had a ton of people in their tiny waiting room. I will also say I went against my better judgment by going to an orthodontist office in the mall. There was not enough seating available and people were standing around. When we went to check in, the receptionist couldn't even find our appt. After a few minutes of looking confused she did. I am aware that ortho offices are pretty fast paced but I wasn't prepared for this. My son was eventually brought back for his pano and pictures. I was not given the option to go back with him which is unfortunate. I stayed in the overcrowded waiting area with my 6 month old. When he came back and we were waiting I was about to make the decision to just walk out and cut my losses with this place. I just didn't have a good feeling. This isn't me just writing a jerk review. I genuinely feel that when going for a consult at any office, you want to feel like they are taking their time and not overwhelmed. I had anxiety just watching the hustle and bustle of this office. Even when they brought my son back, the woman who brought him back didn't even introduce herself to me. I didn't even get her name.. which again is unfortunate. Once we were brought back I will say that Dr Ammar has great bedside manner. He was very personable so I get why people stay. The woman who was in charge of the finances was coughing the entire time we were in the room. It was definitely uncomfortable and even the Dr. asked if she was okay. He did ask us if we had any questions. Overall this was just really disappointing. Super fast paced office which is great for their business but bad for our quality of care. Super tiny waiting area that doesn't look like these pictures posted. I wanted to take pictures but there were so many people standing around I didn't want to intrude on their privacy. Front desk staff is rude and not personable whatsoever. They also told me it would take 4-6 weeks for them to deal with my son's insurance claim. When I asked the reason for it to take so long, they literally told me " we have a lot of patients and a lot of insurance claims." I'm sorry but we don't want to be just another number. We went to another consultation at a different ortho office today and it was night and day difference. I was brought back with my son for his X-rays and pictures. The doctor spent a long time talking with us and even explained that my son has baby teeth that are taking longer than normal to come in. He wasn't rushed to start etc. This office looks great on Instagram but real life is a totally different story and they could definitely use more training on how to be more warm and welcoming.

This office has clearly gone downhill and feels like a completely different place compared to what you would expect from a professional dental practice. The level of care, professionalism, and basic patient respect was unacceptable. My son came in with a painful tooth, and instead of examining him, the staff immediately questioned us and brought in multiple people, including the office manager and the dentist, Jackie. The situation felt confrontational from the start. The dentist Jackie refused to even look at my son's tooth and pointed out the time (4:45 PM) as if that justified not providing care. At no point did she perform a proper examination, which is the bare minimum at any dental visit--especially when a child is in pain. She also gave incorrect information about which tooth was affected, identifying it as tooth #20. We later determined ourselves that the issue was actually between teeth #17 and #18. This lack of attention and accuracy is extremely concerning. When I asked for help and clarification, the response was defensive and dismissive. I requested my son's dental records and instead felt rushed out, as if we were being escorted out rather than helped. The entire atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable, with multiple staff members surrounding us instead of focusing on patient care. For a pediatric dental setting, this is completely unacceptable. There is only one pediatric dentist at this office, and based on our experience, I would not trust them with my child's care. If your child is in pain and needs proper attention, do not come here. Go somewhere else where your child will actually be examined and treated with care and respect.
