Her fees are very reasonable for the amount of time she dedicates into her students 2. She's very flexible and helpful by all means 3. No matter how many times I must have screwed up on my side; but she is always patient and makes me re-paint till the final art work looks great At her classes, we have liberty to choose what we want to paint, but she'll make sure we learn something out of it. She keeps updating herself too by taking advance lessons regularly. Going to her, I not only found an excellent art teacher but a very good friend too..! Somehow we came upon the great answer of taking weekly Father-Daughter art classes at Hidden Talent. We've been doing it for 2 years and my daughter and I just love it! The teachers at Hidden Talent are all very caring, talented, friendly, and genuinely interested in teaching the students. We've explored a variety of mediums, techniques, and materials in our projects. We spent last fall working on the human form - something really great for a 5th grader to begin to learn. The studio is clean and easy to get to from our house. I had a couple of issues with the party. First, this was a group of 5 year olds and the teacher chose an art project that was super challenging. My son loved it but I think it could have been a little better chosen for the age group. Secondly, I think that there should be some sort of paper trail after I booked the party. Everything is done verbally. I wanted to pay for the upgraded package or at least thought I told the manager this but when it came time for the party we did not get the upgraded package. It was a bit confusing. Overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend this kind of birthday party to others.

In the past year and a half since my daughter started at Visionary Arts, her confidence and her art skills have blossomed. In just that short time, my daughter has been able to win a local Bay Area art contest as well as has been recognized as a young artist in the Junior Duck Stamp contest. It does help if your child is naturally interested in creativity and art, but my daughter has no shortage of that and as a result I feel that the art studio has taken my child's interests in art to new heights. We have gone on field trips with the art studio to the DeYoung museum and wildlife preserves. Both of which have been positive experiences that my daughter and I have enjoyed because Teacher Helen took time to guide the group. For my family, this has been an unexpectedly fun, positive, and educational journey in learning about art, conservation, and life skills. My daughter not only has been improving her drawing and painting skills, but she has been learning patience, perseverance, and time management skills through doing art. The art contest and art show display opportunities that Visionary Arts have the kids participate in are instrumental to this. Last year's Junior Duck Stamp contest was my daughter's first big art project that she completed from start to finish. Ever since, my daughter's confidence in being able to complete bigger projects has increased. The art studio does get busy at times when there's a deadline for submission to art contests but even during the busy times Teacher Helen manages single handedly all the kids and parents remarkably well. It is a small business after all and those are the kind that I like to support the most and feel I get the most out of. We've certainly gotten a lot out of our experience with Visionary Arts! Be careful when you signed up visionary art, you will have a hard time getting money back and no response from owner Helen.

Looking back on it, outside of the progress you'd expect from four years of practice, I don't think I improved that much. They teach you to copy from a reference pretty well, which would be alright if you're going for hyperrealism, but that wasn't exactly what I was aiming for, back then or now. When I look at my drawings now, I realize that I was able to get details right, but the proportions were always slightly off. Also, everyone's drawings look similar, even the little kids', which are usually more creative. Certain teachers are nice and helpful, but some of the teachers are very cold, almost scary, including Meiying herself. I'd suggest going to a different school instead.
