It doesn't get better than Vintage D. I have been a few times before and always been surprised more people don't know of this hidden diamond of a place. Maybe it's because its not a bunch of cosplay outfits, but rather specific and real outfits from all the past decades. The first time I went it was for a 20's/30's party. Girls have it easy on such a party, just throw together a flapper outfit. I decided to not just just throw something together but do it right. I walked out of there in a 3 piece white gangster suite and tommy-gun accessory. That outfit wow factor was great. There have been a couple other times I have stopped in, but the other day I stopped in to get a dancing 70's outfit. things were hectic there, but the owner, she came over and made time for me. She gave me options and ideas, and it was clear she knew her periods and genres. It took a little bit to get what I wanted. Actually we took my idea and made it more realistic. I could have been happier. There are other costume places, but they are more plastic and packaged faky outfits. If you're going to a theme party YOU MUST GO HERE! My husband and I basically rocked the night and got so many compliments on our outfits! It's all in the details. We attended an 80's party and while sure we could have easily ordered some cheap Amazon outfit we wanted to fully emerge ourselfs in the era. Throughout the night people pointed out such things they remembered when they were in the 80's like a beeper, all the bands on my hands and my super sweet cat suit and boom box we had a blast. Every time I have driven past this place I have wanted to stop in but never found the time. Today while out thrifting I decided to finally make the trip, and I am SO glad I did! It's absolutely not what I thought it was going to be. Rather than your regular consignment/thrift shop, it's a vintage clothing and accessories store divided up by decade that also has a HUGE rental section in the event you need an outfit for a special occasion. There are also a few various vintage items such as dishes, cameras and tchotchkes as well as a large record collection. The owner and employees are great and chatted with us the whole time we explored the business. I will definitely be back often! read more

The place has great cloths, but the owner is less to be desired. I asked her a simple question and she jumped down my throat. All you have to do is say no, but in stead she goes off on a tangent and raised her voice. Well I'm not the person to sit there so I put her in her place real quick, there a real consequences when you talk sh*t to customers ! Oh by the way I was there picking up my cloth I picked out 2 weeks prior with my wife. When I got home, I told my wife the story and the first thing she said is the woman gave her an attitude when we were at the store picking out cloths and only changed her tune when my wife told her she was beautiful. I did not know that happened until today. My wife also reminded me the owner was very mean to 2 young kids who came into the store that day. Was that a review? read more

When you are passionate about vintage clothes and costumes - not any little store will do. This store has it ALL! Their inventory is vast! They specialize in the eras between the 1920s and the 1980s. You can rent or you can buy, very accommodating. The store is very well organized and you can easily get dressed from hat to toe! There are special vintage pieces and there are costume pieces. The one thing that set this store a part for me and made it worth the drive was the owner- She was so helpful and such a wonderful stylist. So here's my problem with vintage diversity the store is absolutely amazing and I love to go and look for the magazines and look at the different things from all of the different decades that they have but they absolutely will not leave you alone the entire time you are in the store you feel like an infant because they assume you have no common sense whatsoever don't touch this don't touch that don't stand here don't look at the magazines there it's like why have a show showroom if nobody's welcome inside of it the individuals that I own and operate this store have absolutely no clue how to treat human beings One time I came across a concert program for the Jacksons victory tour from the early 80s I had every intention on buying this and I actually did in the end but I had to bite my tongue and hold my nose while buying it because I was treated so badly during the purchasing process had I not been an Uber Michael Jackson fan I would've told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine if you own and operate the store and you're reading this take a step back and think about how you would feel if you were treated with the other distain you treat your customers with So after reading the reply from the individual I guess who works at this establishment I'm still convinced now more than ever that they absolutely have no clue they can't even take constructive criticism without turning it around and placing the blame back on the consumer screw you and screw your store I only wish I didn't have so many great things but I'll never know because I haven't been back since that day in 2016 and will never. I just want to report that the owner of this business has on three separate occasions now sent me private messages that including personal attacks against me for simply writing an honest review about her business. read more

We were visiting from north Florida and waited for the shop to open. We were greeted pleasantly by an employee. Then the owner stormed in and the vibe of the store was shot. She put down here little dog and began berating her employee. We had been ready to buy several items but we gave up as the owner continued to make us feel uncomfortable in the store. When we inquired about and item in the window display she barked out not to touch anything. We were just looking and she snapped. At that point I exited the store as to try and not ruin the experience for my girlfriend who really liked a couple of items. As I left silently the own said " oh it's going to be one of those days" A minute later my partner came out and could not bring herself to spend money at the shop because of how the owner was acting. read more

I LOVE the clothes in the retail side of this boutique! I have purchased several items from an old Samsonite briefcase, sunglasses and hats to dishes! I look forward to my 5hour drive to Ft Lauderdale just knowing I get to stop in. All that being said- the owner makes me VERY uncomfortable with her negative attitude and condescending tone. She treats her employee horribly in front of customers and when I wanted to purchase a skirt and blanket from the front window, instead of offering to get them for me with the prices- she barked "Don't touch those!" The entire time I was there, she was yelling at the employee! Finally, I just couldn't take it anymore. I really wanted quite a few things, but in the end I just couldn't think of a reason I would give her my money when she treated me so badly, and her employee. This is the place to go for unique constumes!!! Walking into the store makes you feel like you are going back in time! This is not your average thrift. Everything is clean and oranized. The front half has clothing for sale and the back is rentals. They can pretty much make you into anyone you want to be. Both the owner and her assistant are friendly and helpful. I will say that each time I went in, I really only had a very vague idea of what I wanted and absolutely no clue how to pull it all together. This is a great spot to visit for vintage clothing, especially from the 60s and 70s. The lady who owns the place and her assistant are super nice and helpful. They do clothing rentals for parties and events and have a great selection of authentic vintage clothing and accessories. They also have a purchase area. Prices are not cheap but not outrageous either. They will set you up with a full costume, head to toe with all accessories for $100 a person, but you can break it down to what you need. For example, I purchased two outfits for a 70s party but rented a pair of shoes for each ($20 per rental). Not that bad. They even threw in a free accessory rental. The place is really cool inside. I recommend going there to get an awesome costume, just bring your wallet. read more

Sadly this place was quite dissapointing. I went in looking for a disco era costume. The owner/assistant was so rude and dismissive my inital excitement was turned into anger and embarrassment in the 5 minutes of my visit. I appreciate, respect, and frequent small locally owned businesses and understand that people have bad days and stress but playing in your phone instead of taking care of your customers is unacceptable. We found this gem a few years ago when my husband and I needed outfits for our kids fundraiser school event (disco theme). My husband is a history buff and not into the "costume" look, we found exactly what we needed! The staff is amazing the the store itself is incredible. We were fitted head to toe and won the costume contest! We were invited to another decade party this year and knew exactly where to go...we are excited to have another excuse to visit again.
