First time customer. Will not be back. The stylist was nice but didn't listen to what I was asking for. I wanted to leave my roots and just brighten up the highlights I already had and add a few more in the front. I ended up with an all over highlight down to the root. In addition, the new highlights were yellow, and there was some blotchiness in the front section, very easy to see. I told them I wasn't happy with the results and at least the stylist offered to fix it. However, the fix was temporary. The stylist gave me back my roots with a Demi color (not permanent) so after a few washes my hair is exactly like it was before the fix, and the yellow blotches are back. My hair looks pretty awful and it will take me 6 months to grow it back out to a place where someone else can fix it. read more

I love vintage salon and spa. I go to Emily Westerbeck and she dies my hair. She is the queen of balayage. All of the stylists are very capable, they have coffee when you walk in, and are very friendly. They do all kinds of hair, nails, waxing. Very convenient location, easy to park and walk right in. You do need an appointment to come to vintage salon and spa, they don't do walk-ins. read more

You know how sometimes salon/spas can be a little too clean & minimalist, a little too snooty & condescending at times? Yeah, Vintage does not have that problem. If anything, they might be a little too casual. First things first: my hairstylist Ashley is adorable, friendly and highly efficient. She was patient when showing me how to style my hair for a cut, and flexible when scheduling a follow up cut or bang trim. The male massage therapist (I forget his name, and I'm not sure if he's the only one or not) is extremely good, but a little awkward in how he positions you during a session. My face was right in front of his crotch for a good five minutes while he worked my shoulder, and it's hard to relax when you're trying really hard not to giggle and wondering if you should say something. I still felt awesome afterwards, which is the true measure of an effective massage. The pedicure was underwhelming and over-priced, however. For nearly $70, I should get a mud wrap and some paraffin and a scrub and some diamond powder instead of a very basic soak, scrub, lotion and polish. My nail tech was not as friendly, and a neighboring nail tech was very frankly discussing bodiy functions with her client right next door. Which, that's cool, I guess, but a little awkward and off-putting, especially when your own tech barely says a word. Every time I've been in there, Vintage has been packed to the gills, very loud and very busy. I'm glad to see a local business so bustling, but a few more walls in the place would work wonders. There was a weirdly large amount of kids running around, too. Vintage also makes all their appointments manually in giant wirebound appointment books, which just makes me nervous, and also just seems inefficient. AND the parking in this shopping center in general is absolutely wretched. Vintage is tucked back and away close to the Grandview Tavern, so there is pretty much nowhere to park that's not halfway across the lot. So, I will definitely continue to get my hair done by Ashley, and I might try another massage if the price is right, but I know there are better deals on pedicures out there, and probably won't be trying anything new. It's a good little salon and it's super close to home, so it does the trick. read more

I truly enjoyed my experience at Vintage salon for several reasons; 1. The salon is very aesthetically appealing. The colors used throughout the salon are attractive and the lay-out is very inviting as well. 2. My hair dresser, Ashley Davis was both delightful and very competent. I completely changed my hair color when I went to see her, so we had a consultation and she made it happen. She was also very attentive and is very sweet. 3. The pricing is very reasonable. I have spent more and I have have spent less on a cut and color, but I would have to say that Vintage is the greatest value that I have gotten based on the quality and price. I was recommended to try Julie at Vintage from a friend, and since we had similar hair types, I thought I'd give her a try. Julie is now my go to stylist. Every time she higlights/cuts my hair, I am always happy and always get compliments. And the price is very reasonable for the service. It's a bit of a drive for me, but completely worth the trip. read more

I bought my wife a spa facial there for Mother's Day. After being cancelled on twice, she finally gets to go and its a disaster. The only they have doing it was rude and condescending. She used no gloves. there was no relaxing ambience whatsoever. on top of that, the person doing the facial goes outside to smoke, comes back and works on my wife without even washing her hands. And then, she gets overcharged!! I was told when I bought the certificate, the total would be $60. I made it $70 so she would have enough for tip. Instead they Charge her $70 and use the excuse that they tried some different chemicals that weren't included in the price! My wife called the manager and all she did was make excuses. Puzzled! Had hair dyed blonde a couple weeks ago and it did not last. Went back and asked for them to re-do. They said they would and did. Then charged more money. I said that I did not feel that was appropriate and the receptionist said she would have to call the police if I didn't pay their additional amount. What? Makes no sense. If your not happy with your hair cut or color from Vintage - don't think they will fix it! And, threaten to call the police if u don't do what they want! CRAZY! I will never go back there. I went to this salon recently for the first time for a manicure. It's a really nice facility and they were able to schedule an appointment quickly for me. Lisa was the nail technician. She was very personable and really did a great job. I think the price was very reasonable. She charged $20 for a French Manicure. That is about 20% less than the downtown salon I usually go to. read more

I went there to donate 8 inches of my hair that was down a little past my waist. The length should have been to about my chest or even a little lower but instead it is above my shoulders. I am obviously very sad about this outcome and the fact that I can no longer where my hair in a ponytail which I need to do for the sports I play. When I got home I measured the donated hair only to find the stylist took 12 1/2 inches off instead of 8. Those extra inches she cut off will take a year to grow back and I am very disappointed that my super long hair went to hair that is overly too short by a mistake. Also my hair is uneven at the bottom which is super noticeable with hair that is as short as mine and I now where a sweatshirt with my hood up all the time. read more

Went to Vintage for the first time tonight for a quick haircut and I am super thrilled with the results. I had Sam(antha) and we just had the best time talking and giggling....I am going back in a couple of wks for highlights and I will be taking my daughter with me. I went in for highlights and a color. What I got are highlights that can only be seen from underneath, with the exception of one on the right side of my face, that is so blond it is all most white and actually has over an inch of my normal dark showing first. To add to this mess, there is dye all over my forehead and face. I called the salon and asked to talk to the manager/owner, I was informed that there was no one there, I asked to leave a message, gave my number and the issue with the dye. I was told to hold on, a second woman got on the phone and told me to use windex or toothpaste! No apology, just try this or this, and click! I called back the next afternoon, because no one had returned my call. Again, I left my name and number and now three days later, I still have not gotten all the dye off my face, and I have never received so much as a call back from anyone at the salon. read more

The stylist (Tanya - spelling?) was still not even close to finished with the person in her chair. She acted annoyed that I was even asking her. Her body language and demeanor clearly said "Go away. I was getting my haircut at Vintage for over a year and didn't have any trouble the entire time. There was a stylist named Cat who always did a great job! Apparently she is no longer with Vintage. The last time I went there I sat and waited 40 min before someone said the girl cutting my hair would b right over, then after an hour she finally came over and said I was late but she could HURRY and cut my hair. Which didn't make sense because I had already been there over an hour! The apptointment was extremely uncomfortable, she rushed through my hair cut, then charged me $30. Seriously? This was so unprofessional and unacceptable! I'll never go to this salon again and it's unfortunate because I had referred a ton of people! Poor poor customer service! read more

Ok guys, strike me down dead if i'm lying. I DO NOT WORK OR GETTING PAID to say the awesome things i have to say about this salon. But i can't help but to spread the word of how happy and satisfied i am with Vintage. I originally went in the middle of febuary i think, I went back to meagon rogers 3/11/11. To my suprise my glass of wine was already waiting on me upon entering the salon,along with smiling faces to greet me. The owner Shanon was great, and expressed her gratitude for my last review. But i was only being honest, because i know how hard and frustrating it can be to find a great hairstylist and wonderful atmosphere at the same time. So being that i read reviews before i spend my hard earned money, i had to post my experience for others who might need some advice. Once again, Meagon had me walk out of there looking SPLENDIDLY GORGEOUS!! My profile pic is the actual hairstyle she did that afternoon. Now you tell me that's not craftsmanship! I love her and still would recommend anyone to her! And the one of the most important things, their prices are sooooo resonable, that not only do i pay her more for her services i also tip and buy products as well. read more

I am sure there are stylists there, who are awesome... I just have not met them yet. I've given this place the benefit of the doubt, but I think perhaps the manager needs to know the employees hired in and their experience! Almost all my experiences there (4 of them) have been disappointing. The last one was the last straw.... which by the way is how my hair feels after the service I received. So, why did I go back again? Because I believe in giving benefit of the doubt, but no more. Besides, its very hard to shop around for a good hairstylist, without getting a great recommendation. No matter ~ anyway, what I asked for was a highlight, lowlight, and what I received was black hair in the front, and brown / ashy? in the back. (I knew the technique was different, as she splathered the bleach in with the dark.. and I could not make head nor tails of her pattern in foils, because they were all so disorganized?? At first, I thought, well, this must be something new? The horrible lighting did not allow for an accurate judgement of how this mess turned out, but when I got home (and washed out the rest of the color from the back of my hair and neck area, I saw exactly how it turned out. I probably should have insisted it be fixed right then and there, but I sat in the chair for over two hours, and so sitting in the chair any longer was out of the question! I called them the next day and asked that they find someone WITH EXPERIENCE to fix this mess! We shall see ~ * Needless to say, I will not be going back there again after this fix! read more
