I recently purchased a refurbished Dell Optiplex 3070 PC for $800. Intel(R) Core i3-8100 CPU @ 3.60 GHz - 8.00GB RAM - 128 MB - 238 GB SSD Storage. They told me the hard drive on the computer I brought in was about to die, so I was in a jam. Not long afterward, I found the same Dell Optiplex 3070 at Best Buy for $495. Dell - Refurbished Excellent - OptiPlex 3070 SFF Desktop PC, Intel Core i7-9700 up to 4.7 GHz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1 TB SSD, USB Keyboard & Mouse, Windows 11 Pro - Black. I wanted to do business with a local business, but sadly, I believe they took advantage of my situation. I had done business with them at least four times prior and was completely satisfied, but I will not do so in the future. The Intel Core i3-8100 is a budget desktop processor released in October 2017 as part of the 8th Generation "Coffee Lake" lineup. Vinton Computer fixed a laptop of mine that was out of work for nearly a year. When I called I thought the $50 does it special was still available, but I missed the sale by a few days. However, the representative explained this and was very transparent about any cost there might be. The turnaround was extremely fast. I had to pay for a new hard drive (and of course labor), but I am so pleased with my laptop. It works good as new! I will be returning with more business soon. read more

I had my hard drive replaced on my mac pro. They did it the same day, which was a Saturday, stuck to the price quoted and gave me tips to avoid other problems. I totally trust these people. GREAT service! read more

They told me they could get my docs and photos off my hard drive for $50 but needed me to buy an external hard drive to put them on for $120 which they said was a fair price. I checked online and told them I could get one for half that price so I would buy one and come back. Then they said that they would have to use special software so it would now be $150 for the labor!! Don't trust them now!! read more

They set me up with a professional system when I came late to the realization that my cobbled together home laptop/monitor system was not working for my new business. I just walked in and BAM! it was done. Who does that in this day and age? This local business is pure customer service and they do their job fast and right! This place is CRAP! I would put zero stars if I could, we took my sisters laptop there for a bit locker recovery and they tried to charge $223 for for a new ssd. We figured we would try to fix it ourselves and 2 minutes on google told us that we just needed to log in to a Microsoft account to get a code. Needless to say I will not be back and I highly recommend you do not either. read more

My elderly parents suffered from a malware problem and subsequent scam (fortunately, no money lost!). The folks at Vinton Computers walked my mom carefully through the problem, and when we took the opportunity to upgrade the hard drive they put together a nice package deal that also included malware protection. They were very patient and emphasized that she should call them any time she sees something suspicious. Very helpful folks, and I highly recommend them. read more

Back in April of 2018 I bought a new computer from amazon and i needed to add some more memory to it , So i went to Vinton computer repair shop with my new desktop. Well, Bryan the shop manager rushed to meet me and I told him what i needed it, Bryan suggested that he has a better hard drive to put in my new desktop that is much better and faster .. and my desktop will be ready in few hours , when i went back to pick it up they did not include my original hard drive that came with my new desktop , and when I asked for it they said that I did not need it , But I insisted to have it back, a few minutes later the owner came from the back with my hard drive , and I took my original hard drive and left a few days ago, I just found out that my original hard drive is much better hard drive than the one they installed in my new desktop and that was my first surprise .. I decided to put my original hard drive back in, and that is when my second surprise was , They have deleted everything was on my original hard drive that came from the factory , it was completely blank. Not only that but found out after some research that my original hard drive which is 500gb sata 3 drive was much better in every way than the 128gb SSD hard drive that they put in my desktop . I went back up to the store to talk with the owner. But instead I met Bryan the store manager which is the same guy that deceived me . I told him about my concerns and I like for them to reinstall what was on my original hard drive and the fact that was unessasserly replacement for hard drives , Bryan did not like that and instead of making things right, he proceeded to escort me out of the store, I did not wanna escalate the situation and left .. and the only defence he had , that was a year and half ago ,, So they gave me a less of memory hard drive and I had to pay for it .. the did not wanna give me my original hard drive back , and when I took it from them , I found out it was blank. and they deleted everything was on it .and when i went back to ask them to make things right , I was escorted out of the store .. this my original hard drive description ..
