If I could change anything, the rear trail guide was a little dramatic and was not happy with Levi the horse. Each time she yelled out, I would get lost in the story and would loose at least 5 minutes trying to catch up. Their hospitality leading up to the ride was fantastic, the weather was a bit 'iffy' so we ended up pushing back to later in the afternoon. It was still a bit cold and overcast when we arrived and we ended up being the only couple to join them. Blankets were in the carriage waiting for us and we were greeted as soon as we pulled up, the ride was enjoyable and informative... we learned about the farm and a bit about the battle, both Bill and Bonnie were super friendly and it was a pleasure to meet them! After the ride was over we had the opportunity to go back to the barn and meet all the horses. We learned more about each of them and got to feed them carrots, absolutely worth the price and a ride we would definitely do again, hopefully under better weather next time!

It was hot and humid but the ride was mostly in shade. The horses were very well behaved, and my daughter absolutely loved it. Her horse was well behaved and gave no issues. My wife's horse kept eating (much like me), but still was gentle and easy going. This place is great for beginners as the horses are well behaved. You take a 15 minute tutorial in how to ride then off you go.

They provide helmets and a radio receiver with an earbud to listen to some canned recording explaining some background of personnel, battles, and music.You get to ride right next to some historic buildings and farmhouses that you wouldn't be able to on a road or bus tour. The cons: Unless you get a certified guide, they are not allowed to narrate the history of the battle as you ride along the trail. We did not have a guide along with our group for the ride so it was fairly quiet most of the ride. Unless you are very well versed with the locations of the army units and battle locations, the ride might be a bit confusing. If you can tie this into the end of a visit to Gettysburg with the museum, film, bus or car tour, then it will be a blast.

Michele's careful and personalized attention has brought my guy health and happiness. Having constant turnout in giant pastures with other horses, as well as unlimited hay and ample grain has made him perfectly plump and healthy. Her thoughtful, kind, and strategic approach to training my ottb has made him more than happy to work and given him the balance and confidence to do things I once thought impossible. But the biggest thing more me is her patience with me. I was scared of my horse that I didn't understand. Michele has taught me how to better horse owner, horse listener, and given my boy and I confidence and trust in each other. Finally, with her network of top-notch professionals (farrier, vet, etc.) my guy is...dare I say...an easy keep?! I couldn't live this place more. When I was forced to move to a few years after coming here, I chose to keep my guy here and visit monthly. It breaks my heart being away from him but I can't imagine taking him away from the family, comfort, and trustworthiness of M&S.
