This review is long overdue. 2010 Infiniti G37 Sedan Smoky Quartz Thanks for a great job of getting our minor fender bender fixed like new. I ordered my own front bumper and fender and they provided paint & labor. The fender I ordered arrived damaged and they took care of quickly finding a fairly priced fender so no time was wasted. It has been over two months since the repairs so I can say that they did a good job. No peeling, no fading, no clear coat issues. No blending was needed despite two panels being replaced. Paint matching was perfect. Can't say this would be true for all colors but mine was a nice match and could not tell the difference. The owner was super accommodating and stressed the importance of fixing the car in a timely manner. I brushed up against a corner of a wall in my parking garage and scraped the side of the truck royally. I also had some damage on the body from different other scrapes, and I wanted to take care of them too but insurance only took care of the claim from the wall scrape. So, I was looking around for a shop that I could work with to get a good price and quality work, but didn't have a clue about how to do it. By chance I looked into Craig's List and saw an ad from King Collision. I saw the great Yelp reviews and the reviews felt genuine. So, I called, talked to Karly, got a great quote and took my vehicle to them. I live in Glendale, CA, and they're in Reseda so it's a fair distance. Anyway, chose King for the work and Karly kept me up-to-date about every step. They gave me the most incredible rate for all the work and that helped my budget immensely. Along the way, I had a nightmare experience with my insurance company's estimator, but Karly helped me navigate that weirdness. Ultimately, when my truck was finished with all the work it was beautiful. It was like brand new. The body work, the paint job, everything was five-star, top-notch quality. When I got home I made all my neighbors come and admire the truck because they had been nagging me about how ragged the truck was looking with the body damage. I am so happy i found this place!! What drew me in was the waiving of the insurance deductible. I tossed the idea because I live in El Segundo and Reseda was so far away. Off top I am a very hard customer to please. Everything has to be perfect or I'm not satisfied. With that being said these guys did an awesome job on my car. I was involved in a hit and run which left me with a big dent in my fender and cracked headlight. Not only did they do an amazing job at replacing the headlight and painting the new fender they also went above and beyond by painting my bumper (which was not harmed in the accident), and removing the pinstripe I've been trying to get rid of for years. On top of that they also waived part of my deductible. The staff here are the definition of customer service, especially Karly she kept me updated almost on a daily basis and quickly answers any questions I could come up with.....Sorry about the essay, hopes this helps the next person looking for a good body shop. Not only was VIP the cheapest by a couple of hundred dollars, but they also promised -- and delivered -- the shortest repair time. I dropped my car off Monday morning and had it back, exactly as promised, on Tuesday afternoon. The other shops said it would likely take four days, which was a significant additional expense since I had to rent a car during that period. Let me begin by saying that this is a updated long over due review. My first review was written before I had a chance to fully inspect my car. After fully inspecting my car I realized that they made so many mistakes with the work they did. Not only did I have splashes of paint on my hood, which didn't have any damage to begin with. The biggest flaws I had was air bubbles and drips of paint, also my car has some fender clear protectors that had to be replaced that when they were put on had dust particles under. Took my car a second time now only did I have to time of my work but it was very inconvenient for me. The rental that they offered also smelled like something had died inside and the steering wheel made funky sounds when it went past 25mph. When I picked up my car, my car wasn't even ready it was dirty. Also the paint where it had air bubbles looked very sloppy. The main body shop person even had the audacity to tell me that my kids probably had done the damage to the door. First of all my car is garage park, second I do not have any kids. It made me so upset to know that he was trying to blame me for his lack of experience. The paint job looked horribly they also left swirl marks where they try to clean up their mistakes. I ended up having to take my car to a different body shop to correct their mistakes. This place made too many promises for a job that didn't meet my expectations. The least they could do was apologized but they never did, I am still waiting for the owner to call me to apologize but I haven't yet heard anything. I recommend to save yourself a headache and take your cars to a reputable quality body shop. Only good thing about this body shop was the lady in the front desk Everly she was very polite. read more
