We absolutely love our dog groomer! He takes amazing care of all three of our dogs. They're very different sizes--one is 120 pounds, one is 60 pounds, and one is 30 pounds--and they all shed like crazy. He does an incredible job getting their undercoats out so they shed much less at home. Our dogs always come back looking and smelling great, and it's clear he truly cares about them. They get excited to see him, which says everything! On top of that, he's just an all-around wonderful person. Just this morning during the storm, the wind blew our back fence open and our dogs got out while we were away at work. We live directly across the street from the groomer, and he happened to see them from his front window. He immediately hurried across the street and helped get them safely back into our yard. I don't even want to think about what could have happened if he hadn't been there. If you're looking for a trustworthy, experienced dog groomer who truly cares about the dogs he works with, I cannot recommend him enough. We are so grateful for him and the care he gives our dogs. In response to the lovely response from the business, I just want to add that smoothing over the nails or filing it down shouldn't be something to ask for after a $20 trim, it is commonly included by professionals. I am not seeking free service, just acknowledgement of constructive feedback that honestly could have been worse. This is a neutral review regarding nail trimmings. The place we usually go to was closed as it was a Sunday so we came across VIP Dog Grooming which allowed walk-ins. Although we were thankful they were open, we were disappointed that they don't file the nails down upon trimming, nor do they trim any fur around the paws. I've been coming to VIP Dog Grooming for years and this is the only place that I trust to cut my two dogs. Specifically, they do an absolutely excellent job with washing and cutting our cocker spaniel. We get the traditional cocker spaniel cut with the long "skirt" and the cut is perfect every time. We used to live much closer but now live about 30 minutes away and still drive all the way there for our grooming needs. I do not recommend this business if your dog is longer hair and has any type of matting, they will charge you an additional $25 on top of the already high price. I brought my dog in for the usual and all of a sudden the price changed from $10 extra to $25 extra. When I asked why I was being charged $25 extra to simply shave off, I was rudely hung up on and told to come and get my dog without any explanation. When I came to get my dog, the woman snatched my dog out of the cage rough because she was upset that I was coming back to get my dog. This business is unprofessional and extremely ghetto. Do not bring your dog here. There are many places in the neighborhood that love animals that are highly professional. read more

Billy and the entire VIP grooming team is the best! I love how they are super responsive via text or call. Setting up appointments is easy and quick (I usually give at least 5-7 days notice). This place is fast (my corgi, Suki, gets a full bath with nails and a quick trim in 2 hours or less) and for a great price of $45 plus $5 for additional services such as teeth brushing and nail grinding. Suki's tummy hair is always so nicely trimmed and her butt hair is perfectly round. This "trim" comes with her full bath but if you have a dog breed that needs to be groomed (like a poodle)?you would have to pay for a full groom. Suki is usually bad with her nails but VIP gets it done and she isn't a nervous leaving this place compared to her previous groomers. You really can't beat this place in terms of price and how efficient and kind the staff is. I would gladly drive out of the way to take my dog to get groomed here. read more

Found this place through Yelp after wanting to try a new groomer for my boy Sage. At his previous groomers, he hated going and would shake uncontrollably, however that was not the case here. The appointment was made swiftly via Yelp messages, and upon arrival, we were greeted with kindness! Sage was a little nervous, however Ashley made him feel so welcomed. She even picked him up to take him to make him more comfortable. We had a 10am and Sage was ready to be picked up at 11:45. Billy has been grooming my dog Lady since she was about 8 months old, and she's 6 now, so we've been coming here for years, and I truly can't recommend him enough. Lady used to be very difficult to groom, she would get anxious and would even try to bite. Billy was so patient and consistent with her, and now she doesn't do that at all. He helped her get comfortable enough that she could be groomed anywhere (even though I still choose to go to Billy every time because I trust him completely).
