    Proof of my dog's vaccinations
    Derek G.

Myself, and my dog were really looking forward to his temperament test so he can play with the other dogs. Unfortunately, the customer service, and communication are awful! I drive 30 minutes to this place, and I bring his vaccine records, and they tell me in person that my dog needs 3 rounds of his DHPP vaccine, which wasn't stated anywhere on the reminder text they sent me the day before. See below. My dog's been to the vet within the last couple of months so he's not some sickly, unchecked dog or hasn't been around other pets. Furthermore, I have no idea how they couldn't do the temperament test at the very least, since he wasn't even able to do the playgroup yet until that was done. Massive waste of time, and got my dog's hopes up for nothing. I definitely won't be back!

I no longer bring my dog here because she kept coming home with wounds/cuts. Each time i would call to ask if there was any report or knowledge of how these cuts happened, the staff would say they didn't know and had zero information to report. I understand dogs play rough, mine does too, but i couldn't trust that the staff was actually supervising and intervening to protect my dog without me there. The daughter of the owner is very nice though!

We have been taking our dogs to Splash for years and they love it!! Clayton and Fin walk in and the front desk already greets them by name. It's wonderful how personal it feels. The dogs always come home exhausted and checking the instagram story to see if we can spot them playing is the best. Great for when you need to get the dogs out of the house and get their energy out! We love you Splash!

My pup Biggie Smalls loves time at Splash premier pet resort! He is a pug so in the summer months it can get really hot for him. They make sure to keep him hydrated and bring him inside for air conditioning intermittently which I think is that extra touch that shows they care. When I pick up biggie he will usually have zoomies initially and then nap after all the fun he had! Thank you splash!

Rocket napping after spending time at Splash

Rocket LOVES spending time at Spash. As soon as I tell him that we are going, he can think of nothing else. He cries in the car until we get there and is very happy to spend the day there playing with his friends. The staff are friendly and helpful. They love dogs and treat everyone with kindness. Splash is the best pet resort/day spa for pets in Huntington Beach.

Ask the Community - Splash Premier Pet Resort

I have an unneutered miniature schnauzer who's one and a half years old. Would he be able to be a participant in daycare?

Splash is a great place to take your pet. My dog loves going and starts to cry when I tell him we are going. I believe they require you to have your dog neutered, but I would call to double check. They are very friendly and the staff are the best.

How much per day for dog boarding (50 lb shepsky mix))?

Our rates are $60/ 24 hours of care.

How much is day care for the day?

    $20 for 4 hours / $35 for all day

We've been bringing our pups to the Jamboree location for quite a while, and up until the beginning…read moreof this year, we had nothing but positive experiences. Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

My dogs had never been boarded before, and I'd never been away from them, so finding the right place for a 17‑lb dog and a 75‑lb dog felt stressful. Ryan could take my small dog, but my big girl needed a different setup. He then suggested in‑home boarding with Myriam, which turned out to be the perfect fit. I toured several kennels, even the upgraded "suite" options, but the constant barking made my big dog anxious. Myriam's home was the complete opposite--calm, comfortable, and clearly designed with big dogs in mind. My dog relaxed with her right away. She has a large enclosed yard where my pup spent hours playing fetch, and Myriam sent daily updates and photos throughout the five‑day stay. As a bonus, since she wasn't watching any other dogs, she welcomed my small dog too, so they could stay together. I'll absolutely return to Myriam for future boarding. I trust her, and most importantly, my dogs trusted her.

That's what I was informed the day that he went for 4 hours and he only played 20 minutes . When the incident happened with diego being grabbed by a big dog, you guys gave it no importance, since that dog continued to be in open play ( I saw him on the camera all the time ) I am surprised the staff saw diego showing teeth, most of the staff there are on their phone all the time, not paying attention while they supposed to be "watching the dogs". With the exception of a couple of people that showed cared but they were not there when diego supposedly showed his teeth. Diego is a very lovable small dog, he is not a big vicious dog, and is very strange that at Paws Chateau he NEVER shows teeth or does any of the things you said, in fact, all of the staff there love Diego, and he has fun with the other dogs. In your daycare you guys never even checked to see if he was up to date with vaccines, just like you probably don't check anyone else's . So it surprises me that this facility says they care for the animals. The truth is that you are right, digo likes to cuddle or be loved and the staff was too busy on the phone to be paying attention to him.

My 54 lb Jindo does not do well with strangers, she is all bark but no bite. I was very anxious bringing her to any dog care but Wendy was willing to do an assessment prior to their stay. This was my very first time doing any sort of dog care so I was really worried about leaving them. They did really well and my other dog had so much fun (he's a social butterfly). The main reason I chose this place vs all the other dog boarding is because they offer a "home" living experience rather than a facility/warehouse. My dogs always freely roams the house and lays on our bed, couch, wherever they please so I wanted something similar and Wendy's house provided that. I couldn't bare the thought of them being kept in a narrow sleeping quarter locked throughout the day. Thank you for taking great care of my babies! August 11th The Day We Lost Louie…read more Our six-year-old French Bulldog, Louie, died from heatstroke just two and a half hours into what we were told would be a four-hour trial day at this daycare. We were told the purpose of the trial was simply to see whether Louie could get along with other dogs. We were never told that he would be taken to a dog park or participate in strenuous outdoor activity. We chose this daycare because the owner told us she owns a French Bulldog herself, and because the daycare had very good reviews. We trusted that our French Bulldog would be understood and properly cared for. What happened that day is something we will never forget. 9:00 AM -- We dropped Louie off for his four-hour trial. 9:30 AM -- Just 30 minutes later, Louie was taken to a dog park for outdoor activity without our knowledge. We had never been told that he would be taken off the daycare premises or to a dog park. The temperature that day ranged from approximately 77°F to 85°F. 10:18 AM -- According to the daycare, Louie vomited after the activity. We were not informed when it happened. 11:30 AM -- More than an hour after he vomited, we received a photo of his vomit. At the same time, we were communicating about payment and completing a reservation for his future stay. We were given no indication that Louie was experiencing a potentially life-threatening emergency. 11:45 AM -- We received a phone call telling us that Louie was not breathing. 12:00 PM -- Louie was pronounced dead from heatstroke. Our dog went into the daycare alive and healthy at 9:00 AM. By noon, he was dead. What is especially devastating is what we learned afterward. We were told that they had never seen Louie breathing so heavily before. We were also told that they had tried giving him water, but he was vomiting. For a French Bulldog, excessive panting, vomiting, and difficulty breathing in hot conditions can be serious warning signs of overheating and heatstroke. French Bulldogs are particularly vulnerable to heat because of their shortened airways and difficulty cooling themselves efficiently through panting. Yet during the critical period when Louie was apparently struggling, we received no immediate warning and no update about his condition. The owner was also not present at the daycare at the time. We later learned that she had a doctor's appointment, which contributed to a delay in communication. While the adults were dealing with schedules, appointments, and communication, Louie was suffering--and we knew nothing. This was supposed to be a simple four-hour trial to see whether Louie could socialize with other dogs. We never agreed to have him taken to a dog park in temperatures reaching 85°F. We never imagined that he would be subjected to strenuous outdoor activity in hot weather. We are devastated that Louie was placed in this situation while in someone else's care. We trusted this daycare because we believed they understood French Bulldogs. That trust was shattered in the worst possible way. Louie was in their care. We trusted them to keep him safe. We expected him to come home. He never did. Louie was not just a dog. He was part of our family, and we will never get him back.
