I look for service, responsiveness, and most of all quality and workmanship. Dr Wheel covers all the bases. I'll be honest, I was a little suspect at first. Their process seemed a little too good to be true. After getting various quotes from a range of others, the price was all over the place from too cheap to extraordinarily expensive. Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

It only took him roughly about 20-25 minutes to leave my wheel looking "Good as new" for less than the cost of a new wheel. I definitely recommend Dr Wheel for your curb/parking mishaps. It's one of the best decisions I have made this year. Will was able to come out with a day or so and run a diagnostics check, quickly locating the issue and showing me the results. He explained to me what the issue was, discussed options, gave me a full quote and a price - highly competitive. With me agreeing to what needed to be done, he ordered the part (Saturday) and came back the next day (Sunday) to install it. Incredibly helpful and so polite, he showed me the new part, walked me through what he was going to do and afterward even showed me the part he removed and explained the wear and why it was actually perfect timing. Within hours I was up and running again, good as new. I have NEVER had service like this from a dealership in all my years of being a car owner and driver (and that's several decades). Will also flagged other things that I needed to be aware of (including needing an oil change - which I will be getting him to come and do) but at no point pushed for me to do them there and then - zero pressure, just guidance. He repeatedly asked if I had any questions and was keen for me to understand what was happening and why - superb! He even cleared up the work area after he'd finished. Flawless. Aside from the convenience and Will just being an incredibly nice guy, his attention to detail and service are second to none. I took it in to a place AAA recommended in downtown LA and explain the issue. They told me I needed a new timing chain along with a whole bunch of other stuff and quotes me $4800 for it. This was preceded with a lot of scare tactics on what will happen if I don't have the work done, which came across as very used car salesman-ish. When I ran the quote through ChatGPT I was told they were charging me dealership pricing for an independent mechanic for that type of work in LA. So I brought the truck here to Speedway where I had Minor worked done before and had a good experience. They told me my bearings need to be replaced and did the work for lesson than a quarter of the price I was quoted at the other mechanic. Work was finished in a day and the truck has been running perfectly since then. Had I spent to 4800 at the place it wouldn't have even resolved the issue, which means I would've had to come out of the pocket even more after the initial work was done. Obviously a truck of this age is gonna have some problems and when they inevitably happen again I will be back here at Speedway to take care of them. Anyone who builds off-road vehicles knows that finding the right shop is a niche and personal choice--you want a team you can trust with your rig. I had originally received a quote from a shop in San Diego, but when I realized there was a shop right here in my own backyard in Burbank, I wanted to try and keep my business local. I reached out and sent them the itemized list of work from the previous shop to see what they could do. What followed was some of the most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced. The guy who called me back came out swinging, practically yelling at me over the phone. He was incredibly defensive, snapping, "Just so you know, we are $275 an hour for labor, and I see you cut this invoice out from someone else's estimate. We are more expensive than them." He sounded deeply insecure and visibly furious that a customer would dare to shop around for the best fit. He later left a voicemail asking me to call back. When I did, a different guy answered the phone and spoke to me like I was a debt collector harassing him. When I answered his question about who I was looking for and our previous conversation, he rudely interrupted me mid-sentence, blurting out, "OKAY, WELL I HAVE ANOTHER CALL SO..." and literally just trailed off into silence. I just hung up. Why would I ever let people who treat human beings this way get anywhere near my vehicle? How does a business survive operating like this? I had a $12,000 job ready to go for tire replacements, a suspension overhaul, front bumper replacement, roof rack and heavy maintenance work. Instead of securing a massive project, these clowns let their egos and hostile communication skills ruin the transaction. Out of principle, take your hard-earned money and your rig somewhere else. Go to a shop where people actually practice basic kindness, respect, and professional communication. The way this entire crew came across was like a bunch of snakes. Save yourself the headache and go to another off-road establishment. And know that this place charges an hourly labor rate of $275 an hour.

They make something that could easily be a stressful car problem feel surprisingly easy and enjoyable I've been coming here for years, and over time, I've gone from just being a customer to feeling more like a friend of the shop. The crew has even helped me out with smaller things without me having to ask twice. That kind of genuine customer service is becoming harder and harder to find, and it's a big reason I keep coming back Their prices are reasonable, they accept credit cards, and they always seem to get the job done quickly and effectively. And if your repair takes a little longer, there's even a pool table to keep you entertained! I actually enjoy playing while I wait--although, honestly, they're usually so fast that I barely have time to finish a game. Not exactly a bad problem to have! I originally found this place because of the great Yelp reviews, so it feels only right to finally leave an official review myself. If you have any tire needs and you're in the area, definitely give this place a shot! Great service, reasonable prices, fast work, and, most importantly, great people. Turns out my front tires are worn out on the inside. The gentleman (owner?) asked me how much further I need to drive, I said back to Sacramento. He told me it should be fine, as long as I don't drive aggressively. He didn't try to sell me tires or charge anything. I really appreciate his honesty, so I want to give him kudos here!

This place is a godsend!!…read more I got a flat tire after coming out of a 13 hour shift and didn't realize until my car was rattling on the freeway. Luckily, this tire repair shop was still open on a Saturday night! So grateful to them for working such flexible hours (Everyday from 8 am-10 pm). The place was busy but the staff were the friendliest ever and were so efficient. Prices were fair and are cheaper if you pay in cash. Thanks to them, I got home at a still reasonable time and can use my car tomorrow for work after all. I did have to spend some time afterwards figuring out how to recalibrate my tire pressure and they had filled up the tire too much, but for the price I paid and how fast I got out, I don't mind as much.

After the alignment was completed, my vehicle's handling was noticeably worse than before. When I raised my concerns with the shop, they informed me that additional parts needed to be replaced before the alignment could be corrected. However, after consulting with two independent mechanics and providing them with the alignment report, both advised that the alignment was not performed properly and that the repairs recommended by the alignment shop were not necessary to achieve proper alignment specifications. What is most frustrating is the lack of accountability and unwillingness to work toward a resolution. As a long-time customer, I expected better customer service and a genuine effort to address the issue. Due to this experience, I will no longer be returning for future services.
