this is my 3rd visit to Rush Custom Wheels. this guys r always knowledgeable and always cool and friendly i got my wheels and they did all the work another. happy satisfied client. i will be returning. I am at a car meet and already 3 s550 owners asked for their shop info. when there ask for Nelson but all guys r cool. my rim info 2006 S500 20x9 38mm front 245/35/20 lionheart 20x10 40mm rear 275/30/20 lionheart safe fit u can go wider.

I haven't posted a review on YELP in years. No one asked me to post this review. This is the third time I've purchased wheels/tires for my car at RUSH Custom Wheels in DTLA. I shopped around on eBay and C/L and the price RUSH quoted me was $300 lower than everyone else in the LA area! They didn't have the wheels I wanted in stock but they got them for me in 1 day! Best spot to go to for your automobile customization needs, hands down. I wanted to give my car a different look, and my friend recommended Rush. I was shopping around at other wheel shops, and none of them had the look I was going for. I kept getting the runaround, until I called Rush and they said to come on in. I went down, fell in love with a set of wheels, and within about an hour or so: magic happened! I was so impressed with their professionalism and expertise. They have a bigggg selection of wheels to choose from, and knew the right fitments for my car. They have great prices, and a ton of folks on hand that know their stuff! Well i've read a lot of their reviews most great some not so good... All I can do is talk about my experience with this business. I did all my business with JJ, He took care of all my vehicle needs and at the best price! I shopped around and they beat everybody's prices. I had one issue with two of my TMPS not working, contacted JJ and he didn't hesitate to send me two new ones no questions asked!!!! To me that's great customer service..... although i'm going to have to spend a few more dollars on the mount and un-mount to replace the defective TMPS I still gave five stars because being 400 miles away he didn't have to send the new ones and could have made it very hard to resolve my problem. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and they will always have my business...... Keep up the great work

Bought some Custom wheels from this place and got a great deal on some dope rims and installed within 2 hours. "Shorty" the service tech even painted my Brake calipers on my Car and really takes pride in his work. They have a large selection of wheels and tires and the best prices in Los Angeles! read more

Terrible place and waste of time!! Here's my story with them: Monday - I drive to the place to shop for wheels and decide to buy a set from them. They order it and tell me to come on Wednesday to install them. Wednesday - I arrive at the place, excited to get my wheels. I can see my car being lifted and two of the rims are installed. Then they opened the boxes for the other two and realize they're not the same!! really!? You did not check the boxes before installing the first two wheels? They decide to uninstall them and put back my stock rims. After wasting 40 minutes of my time, they tell me the other two wheels will be there Thursday and asked me to come back. On my way home, not only they forgot to install the caps but my car was pulling left all of a sudden... Thursday - I call. No answer. I call back and they tell me the rims will be there Friday morning. Friday - I call at 11am, wheels not there. I called back at 4pm and they said the wheels will be there on Tuesday!! At this point, I decided to drive to their location because I needed the wheels before Saturday for a car show. I asked to cancel my order and they asked me to pay a 25% restocking fee! When I refused they said they could not refund me! I decided to involve my bank (Good thing I paid with a credit card) and they were able to refund me. Long story short: I wasted time, gas and energy dealing with these clowns. Shady business, stay away!!! read more

This place will take care if you all the way. If anything goes wrong they will go the extra mile to help you out. That's how you know you can trust the place. So far they have fully debated the rims the I bought a few months back, and all of a sudden one of the rims naturally failed so the fully re-compensated me. The is literally no other place I would go for my rims.. read more

Where to start lets just say im glad the rims i purchased outside through a private vendor didn't fit my BMW. Was referred to them by some dude and I'm glad they did. Pulled up Dudes took me in right away told them my issue and right away got a quote way lower than i expected would be. Got my rims filled and re-drilled and mounted and my tire pressure sensors transferred like its supposed to be done. Everyone there goes above and beyond to make sure your good. Guy on the phone (didn't catch his name) says they happen to stock those in a couple sizes and and had my size ready to install whenever I was ready. Biggest joke of a business. Took a deposit for a set of wheels made me wait over a month and kept saying next week. After multiple times of coming to them they made some BS excused that my bolt pattern is different then what the computer says which was false and basically held my deposit for a month, wasted my time, and didn't even get the wheels. JJ and everyone else there are great and decent pricing. I'm reading some of the bad reviews that complain about their car shaking due to bad balancing. Actually the same thing happened to me but they fixed it so I'm still giving them 5 stars. My only advice to them is maybe they need a new balancing machine... read more

We were in a rush trying to get my son on the road back to NorCal on a weekday. Came across this jewel recommended by another nearby merchant. We we were thinking we'd need to resurface our rim and purchase a new tire. Nope! They found a way to patch the small leak in the nearly new tire and checked the rim - no problem. Walked out of there paying 10X less than expected. It was a pleasure seeing the other regular customers and their outrageous cars due to Rush's work. My car definitely didn't fit in, but they remained professional, quick, and extremely friendly. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thanks Rush! Established in 2000.

Rush Exotic Wheels was originally started in 2000. The owner of the company saw the need for a full service, custom wheel distributor after a terrible visit to the a small wheel shop in the garment district. It seemed as though every wheel shop wanted to order the wheels. He decided there had to be a better way to buy wheels quickly so he opened the largest show room in Southern California. With 20,000sqf of show room our customers have the ability to get there rims the same day.

Later after all the back and forth they offered to cover the costs for labor ,but I would have to pay for the part. Which was $3. I did not expect for them to charge me at all considering i had returned literally about 2 weeks later. (And called them over the phone twice to advise what was going on" They said i was "taking advantage" and told me god was watching. They said there was no way of knowing the part was damaged or defective . In my opinion they should have checked the gasket while doing the oil change . I ended up paying $10 which I didn't feel was fair but; at least they could pay off their $3 part they replaced. Next day after the lecture and "repair" ITS LEAKING AGAIN! haaaahahah now I have to go to the dealer and figure out what they broke on my car. I'm glad I didn't pay the $48 the second time around considering I came in with a car that was perfectly fine and left with a leaking car . THANK YOU LA TIRES AND AUTO BODY SHOP !!! :) I've spent $120 total for oil, filter, labor, a "gasket" and now I have a car with a bigger problem and NO OIL . DO NOT GO HERE !

So I wasn't confident that the wheel alignment was properly done. I recently remedied the concerns by having the 4 wheels rebalanced and had a 4 wheel precision alignment done at another shop. Now my Bimmer tracks and rides really smooth... For tires purchase, this place is great.. But for tire services, from my experience, I would recommend to go somewhere else...

After some investigating on my part, I found that the shock tower was cracked and was messing with the upper control arm, making it difficult/impossible to align correctly. Was this their fault? Absolutely not. The car was in a wreck in the 80s (which I also shared with them) so I knew there were risks. However, I do feel that they saw this (given that the car was on the lift and in their face) and said nothing. Is it their responsibility to tell me? Also no.. but the fact that they charged me for the alignment, just said "we did our best" and sent me on my way seems a bit shady to me. A simple, "hey, we saw this crack and it's gonna give you issues in the near future" wouldn't have only been appreciated, but I also feel like it would've been the right thing to do.

I registered for service and had to wait 15 minutes to get someone to look at the car. The nice gentleman that came to us is named Antonio. Looked at all the tires and assessed the leaking tire. It was a screw in between the 2nd and 3rd tread so it really was only a patch job. But because our tires looked old, there was a concern that it may not be "repairable" and might necessitate a replacement so I was told to choose a tire in case it came to that. I told him I'm sure it's just a patch job but I chose one cause I didn't have a choice. Because of liability, if the tire was deemed unsafe they will not put it back on and the replacement becomes a must. I also asked to have air put in our spare because the TPMS was lit on the dash prior to the leaking tire. He told us it would about 2 hours before they could get to work on our car but it wouldn't take long once they got to it. My son was getting Hangry so I had to find somewhere he could get something to eat. After a while I got worried cause I haven't received a call and it was approaching 2 hours already so we headed back. When I got to the car I was surprised to see that a new tire was installed on the car without consulting with me. I went back in line at the counter and Antonio explained that something happened during the removal of the tire and it got damaged. Because it was their fault, they replaced the tire at no cost to me. I thought I still had some service charges for looking at our spare but he said they took care of that as well at no cost to me. Talk about taking accountability on behalf of the customer. Antonio was very cordial and professional about the whole thing. I really appreciate the service quality I received that when the time comes to replace 4 tires, we will get it from Antonio. Thank you so much!

It's one of the best decisions I have made this year. Will was able to come out with a day or so and run a diagnostics check, quickly locating the issue and showing me the results. He explained to me what the issue was, discussed options, gave me a full quote and a price - highly competitive. With me agreeing to what needed to be done, he ordered the part (Saturday) and came back the next day (Sunday) to install it. Incredibly helpful and so polite, he showed me the new part, walked me through what he was going to do and afterward even showed me the part he removed and explained the wear and why it was actually perfect timing. Within hours I was up and running again, good as new. I have NEVER had service like this from a dealership in all my years of being a car owner and driver (and that's several decades). Will also flagged other things that I needed to be aware of (including needing an oil change - which I will be getting him to come and do) but at no point pushed for me to do them there and then - zero pressure, just guidance. He repeatedly asked if I had any questions and was keen for me to understand what was happening and why - superb! He even cleared up the work area after he'd finished. Flawless. Aside from the convenience and Will just being an incredibly nice guy, his attention to detail and service are second to none. Friendly and knowledgable, he works hard to make sure you understand what he's doing, and is professional and polite at every step along the way. Will clearly cares and takes great pride in what he does. He's the only person I will be going to for my automotive service needs from now on. Highly recommended.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!. I don't know how this shop stays in business. They have no idea what they're doing. They sold me wheels that didn't even fit my car! They're "guaranteed fitment" is a joke. They will do anything to make a wheel "fit" your car regardless of if it's supposed to fit or not. 9 times out of 10, you will end up with vibration issues the minute you leave the shop. They don't seem to know what hub centric means. I spent 6 weeks trying to get the vibrations to stop after having my wheels balanced 3 times and they refused to take the wheels back without charging me a restocking fee since I had already installed the wheels on my car. How was I supposed to know the wheels weren't going to fit without installing them!?! These guys are scam artists. Buyer beware. You've been warned. Don't get sucked into the cheap price. I called to ask a few questions about some wheels I seen online and JJ answered....he got the year make and model of my car and looked to see if he could get the wheels I wanted and made sure they would fit correctly and he called me back....I placed the order on Dec. 19th and with me being in Oklahoma it said they would arrive Dec. 27- Jan. 2, but they arrived on the 26th.....JJ was GREAT!!! He took a picture of the tires and wheels before and after he packaged them and stayed in contact with me to assure they got to me in great shape.
