My sister Ashley paid the first deposit for repair work for a 2012 Chevy Cruze on March 21st and…read morewas told by "Issam" that work on the vehicle would start on that day. She finished paying for the repairs in mid-April. She has followed up with Issam and other individuals at this business just about every week since and has been told that they will be done soon each time; however, the repairs have not been completed and the vehicle returned to her at the time of this writing, June 23. In addition, the vehicle was vandalized (i.e. the back seats were pulled out and left in an unnatural position, there was trash strewn about, and the title was stolen). My sister was not informed of the incident and discovered the issue herself only when she came to check on the status of the repairs on the vehicle in person on May 20th. Issam stated that he would not put the seats back where they should be. In Michigan, MCL 256.541, often called the Garage Keeper's Liability Act states, "Whenever any damage shall be done to any motor vehicle while in the possession or under the care, custody or control of the owner, his agent or servant, or the keeper of any public garage or other establishment where such vehicle shall have been accepted for hire or gain, proof of such damage shall be prima facie evidence that such damage was the result of the negligent act of such owner or keeper of the place where such vehicle was stored." My sister filed a police report. My sister has also noticed that repair work has been completed on serveral vehicles that came in after hers, even one owned by a family friend multiple times. She has requested a refund to be able to take the needed repair work to a shop that will complete the repairs in a timely manner; however, Abe1 Auto Repair would not agree to this. Her vehicle is essentially being held hostage. The next step is to reach out to the Better Business Bureau and regulatory bodies to seek resolution.

I waited 45 minutes and was patient before I got out of the car and asked how long the wait was gonna be. The ginger bearded guy was rude as hell. I used to get my oil changed here regularly and they are never "quick" by any means. But after their rude customer service I'll happily take my business elsewhere. I got 5 quarts of VALVOLINE Full Synthetic engine oil and a new oil filter. They also replaced the drain plug gasket, checked fluid levels, lubricated suspension where possible, checked the air pressure in my tires and performed a multipoint inspection. Labor was ~$28, parts was ~$52. I had a $15 coupon so my total was ~$71 after tax. They also replaced my air filter and windshield wipers with the components that I provided GRATIS. Unisex restroom was clean and tidy. Customer waiting area has free water, coffee and soda pop. I SHALL RETURN next time I need my engine oil changed.

I needed a new shifter cable for my vehicle and had it towed there after hours. They have a drop box for your keys which is a nice touch. No more having to get up and be there at the crack of dawn to explain the issue. Just wrote what I thought was the issue on the envelope and put my keys in the envelope and dropped them in. That's the way I like it. The next morning they called after they found the issue and gave me they're price. I was happy to hear they're price because the 2 other shops I checked with wanted to charge more $$$ for the shifter cable fix. I've got my usual mechanic and I kinda felt like I had cheated on him but it was just this once and he was backed up a week with other work anyways. The Livonia garage is clean inside and even in the bay areas where they work. Everyone was friendly and the coffee was really good. Lots of parking as well. Try The Livonia Garage. It's a winner choice.
