This review is to follow up on an earlier post from Jacqui T. I had my daughter and her boyfriend drop off our dog this past weekend for a trial stay as we are looking for full time doggie day care. While picking up our dog my daughter had several concerns which she tried to talk with the person on duty with but she did not want to provide any answers. Hence the review written. Within 10 minutes of writing the review, my daughters boyfriend received a call from a woman at the care center. She was confrontational from the start, told us how terrible our dog was and that the other dogs were in fear of our vicious dog. After further ranting, she threatened, twice, that if we did not take this review down that we would be hearing back from her. And of course, our dog is never welcome back. Threatening any type of action to remove approved reviews is unacceptable. I would fully expect any reputable business to reach out to their customers and try to civilly resolve any conflict. Honestly, their response just confirmed our initial concerns. Beware. read more

VIPet Resort did a great job with my little Chloe's first groom. We were very pleased with the outcome, especially her new hairdo!

I go out of town a lot and every time I bring my baby she wags her tail like a maniac and tries to kiss all the girls. She loves it there! They texted me a picture of my dog and a sweet message while I was away for the weekend. I would definitely recommend them, especially if you have an "aggressive" breed like I do because it's hard to find boarding for them. read more

Their customer service beats any! I was recently visiting the Orlando area and my pet-friendly hotel didn't offer late check out on Sunday. I was stuck with my fur baby and had to be at an event by 10AM. I searched the internet for a pet sitting service and stumbled on VIPet Resort--talk about lifesavers! Spoke to Nicole and she assured me that they could watch Seena (my fur baby) until my event was over. I knew I was leaving my dog in good hands when dropping her off because of the friendly, accommodating staff. I wanted to be able to give this resort a 5 Star, but I unfortunately had many concerns after picking up our puppy. We left him on a Friday afternoon, and picked him up Sunday afternoon. When we got there to pick him up, concern 1, he was in a small room filled with crates, and was on the bottom crate. At no point in time were we informed he would be created on pick up day. He actually is not allowed in a crate according to his vet because it stressed him out so much. After that, we were also told that he was moved throughout his stay. They moved him to the bottom floor, and those rooms were actually without a bed like that ones we originally booked for him. We were told that he was being bullied by two smaller pups, so they moved him for his own comfort. However in the contract, it says the misbehaving dog will be moved. So concern 2, would simply be them not calling us to inform us before they chose to move him. Our third concern was that we were told he was going to be taken on walks. When we asked to see the walk route when we picked him up, they informed us that they were actually going through construction so they dogs were actually being walked inside. Which our pup is used to walking a lot outside so we were a little annoyed that this wasn't told to us beforehand. Another disappointment we had was not seeing our puppy on their Facebook. They uploaded two videos though out our stay with them, and our pup was in none. When we brought it up, they said our pup must have just missed the video lady. Overall, we had too many concerns after a trial weekend with them. Our puppy has been home two days now, and has been very sick with diarrhea. He also had a limp during the day we brought him back. We have heard amazing things about this place but unfortunately we didn't experience that for ourselves. read more

We have brought our Boxers to VI Pet Resort now for over 7 years now I believe and I trust NO ONE ELSE! They bend over backwards to make sure we are as comfortable as they make our dog. It is so comforting to see the daily FB LIVE Feeds and see our Boxer playing and having fun. They also text us a picture and update every so often while we are gone. When we return home, you can tell that she was treated right, was comfortable and not stressed out. Our dog, Fleur, had a wonderful time this weekend at VIPet Resort. We just recently moved to Orlando and are very hesitant to leave our baby with people we haven't had time to get to know. We did a lot of research and finally decided to trust this business while we went to Atlanta for the weekend. After all, we wouldn't be far and could come right back if something went wrong. VIPet Resort is not only active on Facebook and Snapchat to see snippets of play time, but can also text you pictures of your dog in their care! This individualized service is exactly what we look for in dog care. We opted to do an upstairs suite-- reserved for smaller dogs. This offered her some extra care and snacks during her stay. When we picked her up, all of the staff came to say goodbye in the lobby. Our princess was so excited to say hello and goodbye to everyone on her way out! We also did a bath before pickup and she smelled so fresh. After leaving our dog in some other establishments, we get her back so muscular and skinny as though she didn't eat or sleep the whole time she was away. That was not the case here. Our baby was returned to us in prime condition and I'm sure she's dreaming of going back. I would absolutely recommend VIPet Resort whether you are from Orlando or just visiting. They will love your pet just as much as you do! read more

You did not apologize once and now you want to apologize on yelp, Chloe was fine when she was dropped off and had no underlying conditions everything you have stated is lies, your staff admitted to not checking the paperwork and were not watching her. If you so called immediately took her to the vet why was her tongue purple at arrival from lack of oxygen do not make up lies that the vet did not say just to cover your staffs mistakes, if you said she started to show symptoms at 3pm why was she at the hospital at 3:35pm with a deadly temperature of 105.7 when sand lake animal clinic is a 14 min drive from Vi pet another lie! Of course it was a respiratory issue because your staff wasn't watching her and did not listen when I said she cannot be left out for more than 10 minutes! And she had a heat stroke under your supervision, I told the vet specifically to keep her there because your business can't be trusted you never involved my other dog in this conversation so that is also a lie. Chloe was never left alone for 24 hours that was never said Chloe was with my family until mid day and did not survive the night because of your staffs mistakes. You are a sorry excuse for a company and I'll leave the actual truth here. Do not make lies for what the vet stated because the facts are here!!! This place does not even deserve a rating, I am making my dogs story known so this tragedy doesn't happen to someone else. I checked in my Dog Chloe on February 2nd 2022 with my other dog Sambi. She was 4 years old in perfect health I have vet records of everything, Chloe had a history of boarding and I have never had any issues before. She was an English bulldog and I specifically told the staff that she could not be outside for longer than 10 minutes because she gets heat strokes. This is on record in email, phone call and paper! I get a call after I dropped her off from the staff saying that Chloe was throwing up and had to be rushed to the hospital Sand Lake Animal Clinic I get a call from the vet saying that Chloe's tongue was purple when they brought her in from lack of oxygen because they left her out for longer than 10 minutes unsupervised the staff even admitted that they didn't see the paperwork. Chloe crashed twice while on the vets table and had to be given oxygen the vet calls me and explains what is happening, I tell the vet I want her to stay the night there because I do not trust VI Pet Resort with my dog I do not want her back there. My husband has to rush back from Ocala the next morning on our wedding day to pick up Chloe from Vi pet resort and my dog sambi, we take her back to our airbnb our family was staying at and chloe does not survive the night she is found dead. These people are fully responsible for my dog having a heat stroke and the stress it caused on her body and the owner Michael Reiner refuses to take responsibility for what happened he accuses me of being a liar when his own staff admitted to the tragedy (all on calls) , he is not sympathetic after his own staff admitted that they did not see the paperwork he refuses to pay Chloe's cremation and cost and has not been apologetic about the situation. Do not trust this business!!!! They do not take any accountability for their actions. I trusted these people with my pets on my wedding day and my dog lost her life because of it. Do not take your dogs here God forbid this tragedy happens to another dog owner. #justiceforchloe read more

My only complaint... my dog's regular collar has one section made of chain. V.I. Pet Resorts does not allow "choke chains" - which is absolutely fine if that is their policy. Thing is - they can't "loan" you a collar (although they probably have many) --- you must PURCHASE an acceptable collar from them at full retail! I have nothing against this policy. However, this policy appears nowhere on the website or on the paperwork I completed ahead of time. When we dropped our dog off we were on the way to the airport. No way to go out and buy another collar elsewhere or go home to get his other one. I didn't care for this enforced purchase. read more

If you are looking for somewhere to take your dog, look no more! This is the perfect spot with wonderful staff and owners. VIPet is my go to choice for keeping my puppy when I'm away! They always take such incredible care of him by going above and beyond my expectations. We receive photos of him playing with his friends and updates on how he is doing throughout the day. He always leaves a happy, worn out puppy (which, if you have a puppy you know how nice it is when they get worn out and sleep haha). I love to travel, but I hate to leave my doggies behind! It's always so stressful to find a place where you know they will be cared for so that you can enjoy your vacation with peace of mind, but VIP really made the experience so pleasant. My husband handled the booking, so I can't speak much to that, but I know that the owner and staff are very responsive. The facility itself is super clean and the Companion Club set up for smaller dogs is adorable! There are little doggie loungers and even a pool! The best part about VIP is that their staff sends updates via facebook live and Snapchat stories throughout the day. So you can catch a little glimpse of how your fur baby is doing, and then go on with your day knowing that they are having fun of their own too. We chose to use VIP while in Orlando for a weekend trip, I only wish they were closer to home- they'd absolutely be my go to dopey resort. I can't forget my favorite part- each of our dogs came home with a little puppy progress report!! So adorable! read more

Our dog did doggie daycare here while we were vacationing in Orlando. He seemed happy and excited to go, the staff was friendly during drop off and pick up. We let him stay overnight just one night, and everything seemed perfect. Unfortunately when we picked him up the next day he had red scrapes with dried up blood on both back legs. I can understand dogs can get scraped up just like kids can when playing, but it was weird because they were in the same spot for both back legs and nobody could explain how he got it. No incidents with other dogs or accidents reported, he got a "report card" saying he did great but nobody noticed his minor injury. Other than him licking his scrapes, our dog seemed pretty happy & acted normal. I preferred this pet resort over kenneling him or leaving him at the on site hotel, but since he got hurt (with no explanation) I can't rate them 5 stars. The fees and add on stuff were reasonably priced. There was a late fee of $20something for picking him up a little bit after checkout time. The facility feels like it's a real daycare, I liked that they didn't have kennels - instead they had little "rooms". All the dogs we saw seemed happy / tired since they get walked 3x a day on top of the play groups. Maybe they should have cameras in the facility so you can view how your pet is doing or if there are incidents / injuries you can see what happened. read more

This place is AWESOME. I used them for day care one day last week. The receptionist answered my myriad of questions prior to reserving with patience and clarity. The $26 fee that covered 8am-6:30pm was totally worth it and on par with other high caliber pet resorts in the area. The fee includes a private ROOM not a cage for your pets naps throughout the day, feeding and open play time with other animals. Optional add ons included outside walks and medication administering for a fee. They also offer grooming, but this was only available in the mornings before 12. Other dogs that were dropped off seemed happy and excited to go play with the staff and other dogs. I have full confidence that they are compassionately and attentively caring for my pet. :) read more

We had to wait until 3pm to pick up our dogs on Monday (since they were only open from 3-6). When we checked them out, we were surprised with a $22.00 'late check out fee' for each dog. I guess they charge this if you pick up your dog after 12. Understandable. We would have loved to pick up our dogs earlier, but they weren't open... Sounds pretty sneaky right? Not only that, but we were also surprised with an exit bath, $25.00 each, that we didn't ask for. The reasoning behind this was that they 'never let their dogs go home dirty.' If that's the case, then wouldn't all dogs have a exit bath? Dogs playing with other dogs means they will be dirty. When my husband voiced his concerns to the management, he was met with stubbornness and coldness. The management refused to listen, and thought our issues were completely insignificant. Is that the way you run a business? We have never complained about an institution, both of us working in civil service, and we understand being on the other side of customer service. However, this is unacceptable and an outrage. So, if you want to throw away $100.00 because of their lack of professionalism, go right ahead. (Oh, did I mention that one of our dogs has skin allergies and needs special shampoo? So their 'exit bath' will definitely cause and outbreak.
