I have been using Universal Dog Care for 4 years and will never leave my furbaby anywhere else. They are a family business and I know who will be taking care of my French Bulldog Purly. I always know how Purly is doing with lots of pictures and updates. I live in the local area and the location is perfect for the theme parks. The pups are never alone or in cages. They are in the home just like at your own home. Most important is that your dog will be treated like family.

We're Orlando residents and went on a weekend trip. We just moved to the area and saw the reviews so we booked right away. My 8 year old dog has never been boarded and has had anxiety so I was extremely afraid of leaving him behind with somebody he didn't know and dogs he didn't know. I got pictures every hour, updates, and constant communication. She's knowledgeable when it comes to caring for animals and I felt secure the entire time, he was having fun and playing with other dogs freely without having to be kenneled with only an hour of play time. There's only five dogs at a time so it isn't overwhelming for your dog. I couldn't have asked for a more calming experience and will definitely be doing it again! Could not recommend enough!

Loved this place! My dogs were so well cared for. Traveling with your fur babies and need a doggy daycare or boarding while at any of the parks? This is your place. Got updates and pics throughout the day, they had as much fun as I did.

We LOVE universal dog car orlando! We were visiting Epic Universe over MLK weekend and they were the perfect option to watch our dog while we were in the parks. I loved the hourly photo updates during the day and Percy was exhausted when we picked him up. I could not recommend them enough and will definitely use their day care services when we are in the Orlando area again in the future! I felt so comfortable leaving Percy in such talented hands. I did not worry at all during the day!

Last minute while I'm on vacation I needed to find someone to help watch my fur baby. I messaged Universal Dog Care and my god was Grammy a life saver. Not only was she so resonpisvw and answered every question I had but was willing to help super last minute. Not only did I get updates as she promised but if I had any questions or concerns while I was out Grammy was so ready to answer everything. I can not stress how she made me my family feel so comfortable about leaving our fur baby with her. I would highly recommend her if you are on vacation and want to bring your fur baby with you but yet still be able to have fun at the parks and have a piece of mind.

Wonderful experience! 100% recommend! My senior westiepoo is a bit of a Velcro dog and gets anxious when she's not with us. I was really nervous about leaving her at Doggie Day Care while we visited the Universal parks. I was concerned that large dogs at a doggie daycare might play rough and that she could get injured but at Universal Doggie Day Care my fur baby was in a small group of small dogs and was well cared for. The owner who cares for the dogs is a very intelligent and mature lady with a lot of knowledge and experience - Not a kid with no experience like at many doggie daycares. It was like dropping her off at grandma's house. I received photos and updates throughout the day to reassure me that my fur baby was fine. The location was so convenient and only a couple of miles from the Universal parks. I cannot say enough good things about this business and recommend it to anyone. I saw a post online asking if all the five star reviews were legit and wondered the same thing. Believe me, this place is THAT GOOD!

BEST DOG BOARDING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! There are not enough wonderful things to say about Grammy & her dog boarding business! We took a trip to universal for 5 days, all the way from Maryland. Trying to find a dog boarding business that would accommodate our late arrival time after our 12 hour road trip was few and far in between..and then I found Grammy! Her existing reviews were already extremely reassuring, and then I reached out with our information to see if it would be feasible. She got back to me immediately and was so patient and flexible with our drop off and pick up times, it was truly so easy to book and set everything up! Fast forward, we get to Grammy's around almost 1 in the morning, after driving for 12 hours with our sweet Cherry Tomato! And wow was I shocked, our girl usually can be a little standoffish with entering new places/going into unfamiliar homes...I don't even think she looked back at us once Grammy was there! She got right out of the car and just went straight on up to Grammy and was greeted by the sweetest woman! We were floored! She was tail wagging straight through the front door and it was so reassuring for us! Grammy also kept us updated with pictures every hour during the days she was there! We got to see all her new friends she made and our Cherry just having the best time! We couldn't recommend Grammy more! Overall 1000000/10 experience and I have never felt more peace of mind leaving my baby with someone new. We will absolutely be boarding with Grammy for all of our future Orlando endeavors and I highly recommend you do too! We can't thank you enough Grammy!!! read more

I used Universal Dog Care Orlando to drop off my puppy for the day while I went to the theme parks. The entire process was incredibly smooth from start to finish, and I'll lay it out here for others who are curious about whether this will be a good fit for their dog. I was able to set care up from the comfort of my own home late at night using a combination of inquiry from their website and text messaging, which was great. I made an appointment, got pricing information, and forwarded along my puppy's vaccination records. This was incredibly convenient for me as it's frequently easier for me to operate outside of traditional business hours. Communication was fast and responsive! The daycare is located very close to Universal Studios (like one mile away, it was SO convenient) and is operated in a home setting. My dog seemed to settle in straight away and the frequent updates sent by Grammy were incredible. It was every 30-40 minutes that I received updates. It was lovely to know that my dog was playing and content at all times while I was out at the parks. I ended up picking up my dog early which wasn't a problem at all. Grammy was waiting outside with him when we got there and everything was just super smooth and efficient. I would definitely use Grammy's services again and felt like the personal touch was really nice for my dog. I think in the end he was very comfortable in this type of arrangement vs some of the bigger places where they throw giant packs of dogs together with employees who receive no training (I know because I once worked for one). Really appreciated the ease of booking, great communication, frequent updates, and personal service. 5/5 for Grammy and the pride she clearly takes in running a great business! read more

I was so nervous to travel with our 10-month-old French Bulldog, Dexter -- but finding Grammy at Universal Dog Care instantly gave me peace of mind! Grammy has spent her life rescuing and caring for bulldogs (both English & French), so I knew Dexter was in the best hands. She truly understands their needs and personalities. We loved getting pictures and videos of our boy throughout the day -- he made some pawsome new friends and looked so happy playing with the other pups! We really enjoyed the service at Universal Dog Care! We, like many, traveled from out of state and planned to visit the parks. We didn't want to leave our boxer mix in the hotel all day, so we were fortunate to find Grammy and her service. It is a small business, which we were happy to support. 100% recommend Universal Dog Care Orlando. I was nervous leaving our Boxer somewhere new for the first time (he had never truly been boarded before). We are repeat customers and they even accommodated us with 2 hour notice (due to last minute family events). I can't speak more highly of their flexibility and helpfulness. As long as you are upfront about your desired drop off and pick up times, they will always do their best to make it work. I received numerous photos of my dog throughout the day. Unlike a lot of daycare drop offs, they take care to ask about your doggie's feeding times, food type, and any quirks, which demonstrates how sincere they are about making your dog feel at home. I'm so glad I saved their number for our last minute trips to Orlando. read more

This is the first time I have left my fur babies with anyone outside family. We were traveling abroad to my sons wedding so needed to find a professional, reliable place for them to go to. I have to say universal Dog Care did not disappoint at all! We were away for 10 days and I had constant pics sent daily showing them playing and happy. On the day of pick up Honey came over slowly as if she wanted to stay with her new friends! This speaks volume how happy they have been. Since they have come home they are exhausted with all the interaction and catching up on their sleep. If anyone is reading this and like me was anxious about leaving their fur baby, please don't be, they are loved and well looked after. Traveling from Texas for vacation and we needed a DogCare for one night for our puppy. Search different places but Universal Dog Care Orlando made a huge different with the other places. This Dog Care is perfect if you're looking for a cage free and one on one attention. Mrs Humberto was awesome, he respect that my puppy can't eat something else beside his food or treats. My mom & I wanted to take a day to visit universal studios, so we needed to have someone watch my little chihuahua Macy. I was thankful to have this available to me through universal dog care. I didn't have to worry about her all day because I got pictures of her napping and relaxing about every 1/2 hour to an hour directly to my phone! When I picked her up she seemed relaxed and I was told she was well behaved. Also for the day care only, I didn't have to provide paperwork for my dog which was convenient as our vet is in North Carolina & this was short notice. Thank you so much! Very professional, high quality in-home dog day care in Orlando very close to Universal Studios. We had our pup with us and wanted to take our kids to Harry Potter World. Found Universal Dog Care with a Google search and had a great experience. Great communication via text prior to and day of care, complete with regular photos shared with us, and transaction processing through secure well known platform. Five stars, highly recommend, will definitely use again if we are in the area. read more

I make the drive from St Pete to Orlando because this is the only place I completely trust with my dogs. In July of 2024 I decided to make the training investement with both. I knew the mad skills and talents that Lexi & Tai have with dogs and both of mine needed the professional assistance. I enrolled them both together. Archie, is an incredibly stubborn 6 year old husky and Pongo is my overly excited, talking 10 month old Husky. They blend well together but they are not everyone's cup of tea! I trusted these two and their team and they did wonders with compassion, patience and professionalism! My dogs are the core of my world, so as most dog owners I worry how others treat my dogs when away. Lexi would touch in almost everyday, she communicated reports with honesty on progress & she let me know when a post of their training was hitting the social so I could feel better being apart. Recently, when I had to evacuate from St Pete during both of these recent hurricanes to Orlando, the team took them right in and explained to me the precautions and procedures they would be taking with them. This team even stayed overnight during the storms! Talk about going the extra mile. Lexi is amazing at communication and I still ask her questions about training because it's an everyday practice here with my two! Tai radiates love when he talks to the dogs. The staff is very professional, clean, organized and educates you on the different packages/pricing & knows your dog! Also they take great photography of the dogs! (photo of the work added!) I was told he was cleaned up allowed to decompress and put back to play in a different play group. Imagine my surprise when I go to pick him to and see the condition he was in. I didn't get to fully look until I took him outside. I took pics and got in my car. I decided I wanted to speak to the manager so I called and was told he would be in the next day. When I got home and looked for the puncture I was shocked. I went first thing in the morning and was told the manager would be in later in the afternoon. While there I spoke to one of the other employees who mentions that the dogs are left alone in the rooms. No human supervision. There is no mention of this anywhere. They advertise experienced supervision on their website and being focused on safety. I can't imagine multiple dogs , especially large ones, being left unattended in a room. It was his first day. They don't even know his behavior and how he reacts to different dogs. This is all around irresponsible. I trusted them with my dog and this is how he is treated his first day. They said because I signed a waiver they won't pay for any vet bills and won't allow me to see the video footage so I can better understand what happened. There goes customer service. Lesson learned. Before leaving your dog with a doggie day care find out how many people are in the room with them? How they introduce new dogs? How many dogs in one room? Ask questions.

Our Loki, a 100lb Lab Mix, thoroughly enjoyed himself at day camp and he was returned to us sparkly clean and a nice scent too! We have lived in Orlando just over a year and have had to beg for friends, one-off dog sitters, and even cancelled trips because Orlando's (affordable) dog boarding options either cater mostly to small dogs or they declined because of Loki's separation anxiety. This place welcomed our pup with open arms, and he even helped out with another dog that was terrified of being left there. We are SO happy that we finally have found a trustworthy, affordable, clean, knowledgeable option for dog boarding has finally landed in the area!

I set up an appointment for my dog, and the practice manager has No clue where the Cardiologist that they supposedly use are coming from. Come to find out my dog was set up for a echogram by someone who does sonograms who is not a Cardiologist and Dr. Shah receives kickbacks for recommending this non-qualifed individual. I requested a call back from the vet a couple days ago and never heard anything back from her . They are Scam artists!!! Stay far away!!!! The information in the response from Wendy only validates my experience. I am fully aware of what the definition of slander is working in the legal field for many years. I would encourage Wendy to reframe from talking about legal terminology without any legal understanding. The first amendment permits freedom of speech and I have full right to write a review based on my experience without being threatened as a response. I have looked back at other bad reviews about this business and every time a bad review is written Wendy threatens slander. The information provided in her response was not provided during our conversations. I have proof of texts in writing as evidence. It appears Wendy has now done research after the fact to appear more knowledgeable in her response here. She's always patient and caring and empathetic. I had to take him in about a week ago because he started limping really badly on his back left leg and she immediately did a examination on him concluded that nothing was broken, but that it was a really bad sprain and she was 100% right! He has slowly been working it out and he's walking much better now. But during that time - I also saw her get emotional because his tumor has grown a little bit and she cares so much for the pets she cares for. I also love that the office is open the first weekend of the month as well.

We were able to leave him in the dog stroller on some rides and others we just popped him into the cage. He happily sat and waited for us. Because we had the quick line pass he did not have to wait long. The cages are in small rooms or behind curtains at the front of the line. I would recommend anyone nervous about it to trust me when I say your dog will be safe for the small amount of time they have to wait.

I called him ahead of time and asked if we were able to provide electronic copies of our dog's vaccination records. He was kind and helpful at the front desk and made us feel at ease. We came back to the kennel mid-day to walk our pet and let him run around on the grass area adjacent to the facility. Now, the pick up is why I am giving this kennel service a 1-Star rating. Per the the contract, we had to pick up our dog at 11:00PM. This was no issue as the parks closed at 9:00PM and we wanted to get a bite to eat afterwards at CityWalk. After we already ordered, my husband called the kennel at 9:05PM and make sure we had until 11:00PM. The last representative on-duty said he was heading out EARLY. My husband asked "if we don't make it in time, will we not be able to get him?" and the rep said YES. Absolutely no heads up - wouldn't have known if we hadn't chosen to call FIRST. So in panic, we had to pay now and get our food to go. Disloyal to the contract and a total inconvenience. I bolted back to the kennel, and found that the door was locked at 9:24PM. As a pet owner, you can imagine the feeling. A sign was placed on the front desk that the representative was "checking on our dog or out back cleaning"..... to which neither was true. Our dog was completely unattended. I called the kennel line and the security line multiple times provided on the phone outside and got no answer. After waiting and waiting, the representative came up on a golf cart, entered the facility through a side door, and unlocked the front door from the inside. He then walked away as if we didn't see me the whole time. He did not try to explain himself or apologize - instead rudely asked me "pick up name?". I got my dog and got out of there. We will not be returning.

We had a full day planned at the new Epic Adventure Park but didn't want to leave our 3-year-old Cavapoo behind since it was her first beach vacation. Unlike Disney, Universal doesn't have a pet care option, so I searched around and found Universal Dog Care Orlando. I'm so glad I did! From the very beginning, the communication was excellent. They made sure we felt comfortable before drop-off and clearly prepared to welcome our girl. Throughout the day, we received picture updates that instantly put us at ease. So we made a last minute day stop to go to Universal Studios, but we had our furbaby Jimbo with us, so we looked up reviews on local doggy daycares. Universal Dog Care Orlando had the highest reviews and as soon as we started messaging with them, they were quick to respond and answered all our questions. We dropped off Jimbo and I was surprised at how quickly Jimbo went inside. We got pictures via text every 30 minutes and when we arrived at 2pm, she came out holding Jimbo and you can see he was comfortable. Went to DisneyWorld with my husband and son and we decided to leave our baby here. After 5 years (I believe) they still had all our info and were more than happy to accommodate for the schedule we wanted and the time we needed. They always update with pictures of him every other hour or so and make sure to check in and keep us updated so we are stress free when it comes to our baby. We bring his food and bowls and they make sure to feed him and walk him as well. We are not ones to leave him with just anyone so when I tell you they are trustworthy and reliable I mean it. Although I did not get to see what went on behind the scenes, I could tell that Grammy was a take charge person and had a lot of confidence about handling dogs. That really only comes with experience. But my favorite part was that she only had five dogs and they were about the same size as my dog or smaller. I think that went a long way in making it a relaxing and less stressful environment than other boarding places. I also liked that at night, when they went to sleep, they had their own space to retreat to. I am not used to boarding my dog at anywhere but the vet or at a boarding facility. I'm not used to boarding in someone's home. But based on the pictures, everything was very comfy. She even administered medication's twice a day without an additional charge. read more

We were searching for our small dog to stay in pet care for 5 days while we were at Disney theme parks (and pick her up at night) and we were nervous of leaving her since our dog is anxious and can't socialize really well. Our experience was absolutely 5 stars with this service. We were able to leave our pup here from 8:30 am before we went to the Epic park on December 1. As advertised we got photos showing us what she was up to every hour. They allowed her to run in a fenced yard and even play with another pup while she was there.
