Okay. Bottom Line Up…read moreFront: Dr Clarkson is a righteous dude. I just wish he practiced more kinds of medicine so we could all go see him for everything. I'm an amateur hypochondriac with at least one friend who is a professional hypochondriac, and I've also had a series of long illnesses in my extended family in the last five years. Further, we have moved from one coast to the other and back, thus completely changing the cast twice. I mention this in the service of saying that I have a lot of experience dealing with a lot of doctors about a lot of different kinds of illnesses, symptoms, treatments, and etc. Dr Clarkson is grade A, five star beef. All wool and a yard wide. Out of the forty-odd docs with whom I have had meaningful experience, he's in the top three, and he may very well be the best of all of them. He is attentive to the patients and considers carefully before answering questions. He is calm, unhurried, and rational, and he explains what he is thinking as well as what he is not thinking in a considerate, structured, and clear way, rather than just handing down a snap verdict, writing a prescription, and peacing out. Facts, people. Facts.

Dr. Clarkson and his staff are the most efficient that I have seen. He should teach a class on how…read moreto run a practice. I never have to wait even when I am 15 minutes early. Don't know how they do it. He is one sharp guy. Asks excellent questions to figure out what is going on. Very logical in his approach. He operated on me in 2005 and it could not have gone better. One of the best Docs that I have been too. Stacey O.

From the moment I walked into the lobby to the moment I walked out the door the customer service,…read morepatience and kindness of every person I encountered was fantastic! From Lily and Kelli up front to Elizabeth in the Audio booth with me & had the patience of an angel while I had to compose myself after a Vertigo spell... to Jackie also being patient with me explaining my situation and her taking her time to go over the possibilities and the detailed next steps. If I could give them 6 stars I would- you could tell they love what they do; you could feel it. I can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic Front Desk and Wonderful Jackie White undermined by a physician agenda more designed to sell than serve. I had 4 procedures none simultaneously by Dr. Viraj Patel which left me without any ability to breathe at all through my left nostril. I had to wait a year before corrective surgery could be attempted. That corrective surgery lasted 5.5 hours, required multiple grafts to be placed in my nose, worsened my appearance, and to date has improved my breathing about 10 percent. Don't even think about going here if you have a perforated septum. You might be so unfortuante to end up like me. Bottom line: This doctor has neither the skills nor the scruples to do complicated sinus surgery. A complaint has been filed with the NC Medical board and I have found an attorney willing to represnt me in a medical malpractice claim. Breathing made easy? Hardly.

This was my first time here. Unfortunately, my health insurance company is fighting with my normal…read moremedical group. So, I had to quickly find another provider. When making the appointment, the scheduler initially told me there were no appointments until after January 2026. She heard the desperation in my voice and found me an appointment with Dr. Michael Armstrong for a few days later. I went to my appt & his nurse, Angela, was so sweet. She was empathetic and understanding. I was able to get what I needed & didn't have to spend much time there. I liked Dr. Armstrong. He was a gentle & very friendly. I don't usually see male gynecologists, but I'm thinking of seeing him from now on just because of this experience. I didn't give them a 5-star because the waiting room wasn't clean and tidy, and my appt was early in the morning. I also had to wait for the young lady to get off of social media to check-out. I literally had to knock on the glass. That's unacceptable. Outside of that, all went well.

Warning: If you are coming to this location to discuss symptoms or treatment of TMJ…read more(Temporomandibular Joint Disorder), your visit will NOT be covered if you have a Cigna health insurance plan. I had to pay $256 for a brief visit with a physician assistant (not the doctor, who was on vacation) about my TMJ symptoms (my jaw locking up and not opening more than a 1/2 inch). There was a brief inspection of my mouth and jaw, along with a short discussion about my options (trying a prescription to help with jaw relaxation and purchasing an over-the-counter mouthguard to help with teeth grinding). Since the visit was coded with TMJ, my health insurance plan refused to cover it, as it was not surgical. And yes, I appealed 3 times, submitting documentation, and discussing this issue for hours with both WakeMed's billing offices and Cigna customer service. I am SO disappointed with how this whole process unfolded with WakeMed that I will never be going to this location again.

I called…read moreto make a follow up appointment and when I got through I was asked if i was aware that i had a bill left over from my initial visit. 1. I have insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and have not lapse insurance in I do not know how many years, so this shouldn't happen from a primary care appointment. 2. I gave them my insurance card when i came in and they input my information. 3. they never called me to notify me that i had a bill or sent out notification that i had a bill, so how am i to know i have a bill. 4. I am also a patient access front desk staff for a hospital and am well aware of the no surprise care act where you should not have services rendered and be unaware or surprised by a random cost or bill. Next problem is i was instructed that my insurance company did not pay out after the claim for services were sent in, and that i should call my insurance company, this is also not something I the pt should be doing, but i called anyways and found out nothing was ever recieved by this place. so now i call thier billing department with my bcbs insurance rep on a 3 way call to straighten out and find where the disconnect is, ofc it was on the pcp side as they switched the last two numbers of my policy number when inputing my insurance information. Next problem i have been calling for 3 days straight trying to find out had the issue been resolved and i was also going to schedule my mother a new patient appt for the same day as my upcoming appt. every time i call i was told to hold not asked if i could like the proper protocol but told to hold and immediately placed on hold, ALL 3 TIMES!!!, by the last call i asked her not to place me on hold and she still did, at this point i am now calling to check the resolution of the bill and also to cancel my upcoming appointment as i have lost interest in continuing care with this PCP office strictly off the front desk incompetency alone, to no avail i cannot get them to stop placing me on hold.
