While I've never had a poor experience with photobooths in general *knocks on wood*, this particular snap shot experience was definitely noteworthy. Viral booth made a guest appearance at a recent Yelp Elite event in Anaheim, so my girlfriend and I were all for silly faces and stunning model poses. I mean who else is going to capture all our fierceness?! :P And of course... There was a roped off section and red carpet entrance towards the photo booth. How fabulous! Truly a glamorous affair. Props were available to add character to the photo session, but unlike the traditional photo-booth where space may restrict the amount of people featured in a photo, this was an open air experience allowing groups of individuals to pile in on the fun. Yet, the main distinguishing feature that really impressed me was the incorporation of social media into the equation. Directly after striking three poses, we were given the option to either email the photos to ourselves, post it on facebook or twitter on top of the two copies of photo strips. Yes! I hired Viral Booth for an event a few weeks ago and once again, it was a HUGE HIT! The staff was super professional and I knew I would get world-class service from the experts. Mike was so great to work with before the event, making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Ken was easy to work with on the design of the photo strips and made sure they came out perfectly! I used Viral Booth for my wedding on 8/17/19 and it was an amazing decision. Viral booth stood out from the other photo booth companies with their high quality photo booth, props, pictures and customer service (Shanna B was awesome!) I upgraded my package so my guests got 4x6 pictures. Also I, and my guests loved the fact that every single person in the picture got to have their own photo, AND an extra to add to our wedding album scrapbook (that was such a neat feature that came with our package! It was so much fun to look through all the photo booth pics and read our guests' comments and well wishes. Bc of this feature, we didn't even need a sign in book as this was an even better way to do it). The backdrop was also very pretty (I chose rose gold) and they gave me many borders to choose from! Our 4x6 pics came out looking very classy! There was also a social media or text feature where guests can enter their phone/social media info and they'd get a digital copy of their picture also (in addition to the hard copy they each got). The representative manning the booth was very professional and helped the guests. She also directed them to fill out the scrapbook as well, which we appreciated. She was so professional that when I offered to send her home a half hour early, she politely declined and stayed the entire time with a great attitude. I was planning our Annual Company Meeting and met with our Sales Rep at the Orange County Mining Company, she had provided me a list of preferred vendors and Viral Booth was on this list. We have never had a photo booth at our company meetings in the past, and since I am such a fan of photo booths I wanted to find one for our meeting. Since I am located in SD and didn't know of any good photo booths in the OC I decided to give Viral booth a shot. We got a great deal, they are reasonably priced and since we had a few hours where the photo booth was not going to be used we paid a lower idle time rate for those hours. Ken did a great job designing our print, we had a western theme for our meeting and wanted to incorporate that into our design, I told him what I wanted and he nailed it! When I got to the venue the day of our meeting, Marvin was already there setting up. He even extended a helping hand to blow up balloons we needed for a game. His customer service was top notch and made the photo booth run smooth. Everyone raved about the photo booth, how much fun it was, and such a great idea to have. It made our event that much more special! I love that the idea that you could send the pictures via text, e-mail, and through social media as an option. Although, I did get some feedback that some of them didn't go through. I did receive some texts even after the event. They do give you a DVD of all the pictures, which was really nice to have all the pictures that were taken to share with everyone. Some pictures did print out dark, I think it just depending on how many people you had in your booth, because the light background helps to lighten them up. Pros: Mike and Ken were a pleasure to work with. Mike answered the phone professionally and was very personable. Both were very responsive and helpful via email as well. When my venue and hours changed, they worked with me to create a new timeline and I felt the costs were still appropriate. The props made for some silly and fun pics and the unlimited prints were a hit with the kids at our event (wedding). Ken helped me with designing a personalized logo/design for the printouts and I believe it was he who ran the booth the day of. I love the photo strip guest book; I've been to several events where the guest book is a gluestick covered mess, but ours was actually well-executed and of a better quality than I expected. I enjoyed the online gallery post-event; it made it so much easier to share photos with friends and family (even the ones that couldn't attend). Cons: Only one guest used the video feature. :( I wish guests had been encouraged (or even cajoled) to record video messages - I was really looking forward to those. Also, the one video that did get recorded had terrible sound quality. Like with anything electronic, if it worked better and were handled more smoothly, it would have been amazing. The free photo mosaic was more of a gimmick than anything of quality - I'll post it to show you what I mean. Tips: Check your lighting. Our earlier daylight photos had leaf shadows and random beams of light. So, plan ahead as to where the sunlight is. Make sure that your power source is reliable. We had some fluctuations in power with our booth and a chain of string lights. So, make sure your venue's outlet and/or power strip is dedicated so it doesn't affect the booth's operations. Lastly, make sure you use the booth yourself!!! My husband and I don't have a single photo of ourselves together in the booth - Make time to get a few silly shots together. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we did not end up using Viral Booth OC for our wedding but I wanted to give my feedback on the experience that I had nonetheless! Shanna was wonderful to work with. She had great communication and pricing and worked with me to customize our photo strips, provide a photo book even though I ended up creating my own and she went with the flow when I decided to purchase my own props too! She was so easy to work with, kind and responsive. When I had to cancel she promptly refunded the balance I had paid in full and kept the deposit. Wow. The guys at Viral Booth are the best! I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding this past weekend. I was having a little too much fun in the photo booth (and bar) and lost an earring. I just picked it up from their office in Lake Forest. They found it stuck in the props while cleaning them on Monday and called my friend, the bride, who gave them my number and I have my earring back! Back to the party, the attendant, I think his name was Sergio, was amazing. He was a lot of fun and totally professional. Our wedding would not have been the same without Viral Booth! It was way more affordable than I expected, and the entire service was incredible. Pre-wedding---they were so professional making sure all the formats and backgrounds were to our liking. They set up early and there were zero hitches. This is not a little box booth. It's a space, set out for a grand picture taking experience. Everything promised was delivered--each photo strip was printed out multiple times--one for each person in the photo, and one of us. They print super quick and there was little wait time at all (although there was always a line because everyone was having a blast with it!!!!) The uploading to social media took a little longer--but only because most people didn't seem to remember their Facebook passwords. I sent my pictures to my phone which was quicker, and then transferred it to Facebook later. I can't recommend Viral Booth enough---and ASK FOR JOSE! Our Photo Booth host, Jose, was awesome!! He really helped everyone get more excited about the whole thing, and convinced even shy people to come take a snap. If you get it for your wedding, they send you a scrapbook of all the shots afterward. It's so cool! They didn't even ask for extra shipping money or anything. Everything was on the up and up and I won't let any of my close friends or family ever get married without Viral Photo Booth there!!! read more

Update (1/31/15) I would like to update my review in response to Mike's comments to my original review. I have several comments to make so I will start from the top. First, in the update section, Mike claims that since our event "we have further improved the quality of pictures with photography spectrum lighting and with less compression of the images for uploading." This infers that as a direct consequence of our event they had to make changes to improve the quality of the photos. If the quality of our photos were fine why did this change have to be made? Secondly, in the lighting section, Mike states that the uplights didn't affect the quality of the photos, but instead "offer a really cool effect against the white backdrop." I would like to offer a quote from an email from Viral Booth: "The lighting in the background caused our backdrop to turn various colors, changing more frequently as the event progressed, and would result in the camera always trying to adjust for the lighting of the photo." This is from one of the emails in which they were trying to explain some of the problems with our photos. So initially they tell us that the lighting interfered with our photos and now are attempting to claim that they actually made the photos better. Mike admits in his response that the attendant did not do a great job in making sure the curtains in the back of the booth were closed and had to be made aware of this only after our event. Another issue Mike admits to having to fix after our event. I believe I addressed the issue of dark photos and photo cuts adequately in my initial review. As much as we were disappointed in the quality overall of their product, we are even more disappointed in how Viral Booth has handled our concerns after the fact. Mike states in his response that we were offered a $200 refund, which is true (we received the email from Ken on 11/10/14 regarding the $200 refund). After this, no more emails were exchanged and this is when we attempted to contact Mike via phone and never received a response (see initial review). Mike states in his response that we "demanded" a 100% refund and would not settle for anything less. This is an outright lie. After we were offered the $200 refund we actually had no correspondence with Viral Booth at all since, as stated above, Mike did not return any of our phone calls. So it is impossible that we could have "demanded" a full refund or "threatened" him with retaliation via bad reviews since we didn't even talk to him. We did post negative reviews because we had very poor service from this company and want to save anyone considering Viral Booth's services from the same headache. We were extremely polite in all of our correspondences with both Mike and Ken and I am shocked to see words like "demanded" and "intimidation" used. So, now I am not only urging you to avoid Viral Booth for its poor quality products but for its lack of professionalism as well. You know those horror stories about vendors missing weddings? That's what happened with this photo booth company and my wedding last December. My venue told me (a half hour before the ceremony) that the photo booth people weren't there. I called, left a message; then went on with the show. It irks me because there were literally hundreds of photo booth rentals, and I went with the one that didn't show for the biggest day of my life. I wanted more pictures of this occasion since there will not be another time when all these people will ever gather. During the reception, the owner came to the venue to apologize. He showed up to the wedding saying he would refund me (of course) and have a free photo booth at another event (I don't have "events" and wouldn't want to work with them again. It would be a constant reminder of how they weren't there for my wedding. ) Also, I had a short reception; the fact that I had to spend even a minute during it talking to the owner bothered me. What was I supposed to say? I bet he felt horrible, but so did I. During the short time of my reception, I didn't want to deal with this. With the check he sent back (the refund did arrive fairly quickly), he wrote a note and mentioned that he was working to make sure that missing an event never happened again. That is great for other people, but that doesn't fix the fact that I really wanted fun pictures from my wedding, and didn't get them. read more

I booked Viral Booth for my wedding in October. I got the whole shpiel from Mike about how awesome their business is because it reaches all these different media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), you can text yourself your picture, and you can even take a video with the photo booth so you have an awesome little treat when you open your discs. So I got NONE of that of which he promised. First off, my wedding started at 5. He said the booth would be up and running by 4:30p. By the time my cocktail hour started at 5:30-I was told by my coordinator that their Wi-Fi didn't work and the booth hadn't been running and they'll let me know when it starts. So the whole point of the booth running before the ceremony was so that it would be available to my guests during cocktail hour and it was not. Well into dinner, I was told the booth was running-maybe 7p by then. The booth was a really big hit, my guests loved it, my family loved it, I had a good time taking pictures. The props were pretty POORLY made which whatever, just looks bad for them. The pictures that were meant for my photo album were pretty messy strewn about the prop table when I was under the impression that it would be nicely organized for my guests to sign by their picture. Eh, again-I chalk that up to training of the attendant who was actually very polite and nice. When I went through the booth, I was told that no one could send pictures to their social media outlets because this booth didn't come equipped with that and no one was doing videos because AGAIN, this booth didn't do that. So what the heck am I paying over $700 dollars for if not for the product they promised? A couple weeks after my wedding, I called Mike and explained my dissatisfaction with his service and he was very polite and professional. He refunded me a portion of my payment, which I believe is fair since I didn't receive half of what I paid for. Unfortunately, I will never recommend Viral Booth to any friends. I have spread the word on all my other vendors but I just don't feel they are up to par and I certainly don't want my friends to look at me if their service is anything like mine. Major bummer-they were the absolute worst part of my wedding. Side note: when I was proofing the names for the bottom of the pictures, Ken sent me the wrong attachment. Our best investment ever!!! This was my only, on the spot booked... vendor I had. My coworkers and I ran into them during one of the wedding expo's. They had friendly gentlemen that did not shoo us away even though we were taking so many photos! haha I remember also seeing a similar booth at the MaCallan Whiskey Event so I got excited because it was such a high quality booth and super modern. They had video's, photos, and quick fb/insta updates right off the screen!! We got them at a great price and I deposited right away! Their service was superb, Ken/Mike was there from start to end helping me with every detail I needed to take care of. They have one site graphic team that will design the bottom signature logos and have the most amazing section of costumes you can think of. Viral Booth was at my friends 50th birthday party. They did a great job. I have seen and used many photo booths before but never one like this. How they incorporated social media into it is great, when the attendant explained it to me, I said why didn't I think of that. Disappointing. Poor quality pictures and videos, and intermittent service. A photo booth is a magical box to share and enhance memories of a special event. Regrettably, the product we received from Viral Both was a low resolution camera tucked behind a curtain. The lighting is poor. The quality is low. The software crashed more often than a beta version of Windows. The videos were garbled with sound. The scrapbook was embarrassing, truly the quality of a junior high school project. The mosaic is incomprehensible. Oh. And did I mention it only worked for a portion of our wedding? To say the functionality was limited or intermittent would be an understatement. I truly appreciate the professionalism and courtesy of the staff and the owners, as they were exceptional in their efforts and follow up. They were even kind enough to offer a partial refund. I simply could not endorse a vendor that offers a product with intermittent functionality and poor quality results. You have one chance to capture your special event. Would you be satisfied to capture only 2/3 of it, and to do so with poor quality results? Sad that an event of this magnitude (our wedding) has only one chance to get this right and these guys missed it. Go to a wedding expo. Search online. From the moment I contacted them to go over any last minute details to the time they arrived on the day of, they were polite and eager to do a great job. Ive often heard the saying, "Quality, Cost, Efficiency, pick 2." Well, with Viral Booth, I got all 3. These guys were quick to reply to my correspondence. I was especially comforted by the fact that they have an office and that I was able to get a hold of them when I needed. The cost for the service I received, I felt was a great value. My first experience with a mobile photo booth was at a wedding reception and it was disastrous because the booth itself was falling apart and it didn't seem like the operators didn't really care much about the people wanting to enjoy it. I came across Viral Booth at another friend's graduation party and Wow! They took photo booths to a whole new level with its integration with social media. I used Viral Photo Booth for my wedding at Disneyland May 3, 2014. I saw them at a bridal show and had a great promotion. The picture quality is great and you can print out 6 strips at a time. You can text the pictures to your phone or upload them to facebook or email them. I believe you can also do video, but we didn't use it. Great props to use in pictures and great and easy going employees to work with. I used Viral Booth for my wedding in Temecula. They were fantastic. The booking process was easy and I even got to design my own photostrip for our wedding. The end result was perfection! The photo booth attendant was very nice, helpful and dressed appropriately. He even made an announcement a half hour before we was leaving, which was amazing because the bridal party had a chance to snag some last minute photos. The guests loved the Photo Booth and the booth had plenty of fun clean props to use for the photos. I would definitely recommend them and we'll be using them in the future! We loved having this photobooth at our wedding - Viral Booth OC was so easy to work with and helped design a photo strip that matched our invitations perfectly. Our guests had a great time with it and we got a copy of all the photos via a zip file after the event. Got married at wedgewood! Loved that you get digital files!! Loved the friendly staff and loved the surprise album and loved the open space so you can get more people in!! Definitely worth it! They also let us bring some of our own props!! Which were returned to us at the end of the night! Fun!! read more
