We had been driving about 5+ hours from New Jersey so getting that message was extremely unsettling being so far away from home..what a way to start our trip! We drive a BMW X6, and after calling several mechanics in the area in desperate need of a last minute oil change, we quickly learned that not many places will work on (or have the filters on hand for) European vehicles. We were lucky to find CJ and MB-Tek via Google search, who managed to fit us in the same day. Even though he was fully booked during business hours, CJ understood that our issue was time-sensitive and drove to our hotel after-hours to fill us with 2 quarts of synthetic oil just to get the truck into driving condition. We then were fortunate enough that MB-Tek offers door-to-door service, and he took the truck back to the shop for a full oil change. We felt very comfortable with the entire process, as all of our communication was via email, complete with invoice detail and backup for all of the work CJ did on the truck. All in all the process took about 2 hours which allowed us to have peace of mind and tend to all of our wedding party responsibilities that day, knowing our truck was in good care. CJ truly saved us and we couldn't be more grateful for his kindness! Not everyone will take time out of their weekend after their shift to help a complete stranger. The last round of icemessrainslosh found me to a panicked run into the hardware store for a wiper blade when the existing one popped off having frozen to the windshield....and maaaybe me forcing it and blahblahblah, okay I probably broke it. In the icemessrainslosh I popped on the snazzy looking "RainX" replacement blade and, for a few weeks, have been "on my way". Sure it's looked pretty cool with that yellow "RainX" strip; but, for a $26 wiper blade, it was NOT terribly effective....I had, repeatedly, forgotten more times than I remembered to look up the directions at which I did not look when I popped it on to discern the probable ID10T error." On seeing my still girded blade, Nate could have simply gone on with his muffin and day with a shake of his head at the silliness. He didn't.
