We LOVE this hotel so much and have stayed there twice this year already. We drive down from OKC to do a little shopping and have some R&R... it's the perfect hotel! The valet are always so helpful (they charge our EV overnight for free!) the staff at checkin desk is amazing and the bar staff is fun and accommodating. Drinks are delish! It's stylish and romantic. It just gives off a luxurious vibe. The real perk is the rooms though. The shower and toilet each are in separate rooms which is just super rare and help with privacy. There is a sit down vanity WITH A SELFIE LIGHT MIRROR, two separate closets and a tall bathroom sink vanity. The Lutron lights are handy, too. These rooms are just intuitive! My stay was a complete disappointment from start to finish. The bedding was filthy and stained, with comforters that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. When I tried to get fresh bedding, the room service staff couldn't understand my requests because they don't speak english. They kept on bringing me dirty comforters. After just one night, I checked out and requested a refund, which the hotel initially agreed to. However, they never followed through, ghosting me after numerous emails and phone calls. The hotel is also definitely not family friendly; it seemed like there was a party going on at all hours of the day and night and we felt really out of place. Save yourself the headache and stay anywhere else. There is nothing more disgusting than sleeping in other peoples' dried out bodily fluids. An enormous waste of time and money. read more

We were just at dinner at the Virgin Hotel and it was so delicious. I had the short ribs and they melted in my mouth and they were very tender. My husband had the blackened snapper and he loved it. His 2 Old Fashions were delicious is said and I had a cranberry Vodka that was one of the best I've had. The staff were friendly from the valet to the hostess and the servers. A must stay in Dallas! Comfy beds, nice mini bar selects and at a decent price considering there's no where else to get liquor in the immediate area. Nice location. Got to check in early and had a room on the top floor of the hotel! Huge pool area (even though it was raining when we went boooo) and great bar. Join The Know and get some little cute amenities like we did after arriving. Didn't eat at Commons Club or the Funny Library (both on-site) but did hear some of the drag show happening on a Sunday AM. Definitely recommend this spot for the young professional, date night, staycation etc! read more

Just to start we did not stay at the hotel we only came for the Holiday pop up bar. This place is all over the place with my rating. First we have a great server that was very attentive I give him five stars. The drinks were super fun and cute and had great flavor four starts. The food was terrible. Straight out of the freezer. Ever since December 2019, I've had my eyes on this dashing hotel. I noticed it as I was scurrying over to Meddlesome Moth for a girlfriend's birthday brunch when I noticed a tall, immaculate building in my peripheral. My jaw dropped at its beauty & I told myself that I'd stay there, even if my life depended on it. A staycation brought me to the Virgin hotel two weeks ago and at first glance, I wasn't immediately impressed. A lot of it had to do with the fact that my visit was at the peak of the COVID-19 crisis so the bar and many other parts of the hotel were closed. But Jacob helped me check into my room and even wore a smile behind his mask (I could tell). The rooms are not as lavish as the hotel's "first impression spaces" on the first floor, but they are still well-groomed. Spacious shower, private toilet, commodious bedroom and the cutest little illuminated mirror & chair set that you ever did see. Endless libations in the fridge as well as on the refreshment tray above. Unfortunately, you won't find any microwaves in the room, so your leftover $20 duck wings from Meddlesome Moth goes home with you or in the trash. At this point, the hotel is more of a 3.5. Better than average, but not by a landslide. Here's where it gets good..... THE POOL AREA! OH MY GOODNESS! You must make your way down to the 4th floor, because if you don't you're sure to miss out. They have a courtyard with plenty of seating ---big enough for the most epic of pool parties and a hot tub that appears to be in the midst of a secret garden. The pool is cabana style that faces the bar/restaurant and all of the furnishings scream stylish luxury! It's honestly like a VOGUE magazine threw up everywhere, and its beautifullllll. Poor imagery, I'm sure, but seriously, this part of the hotel is insane and definitely my favorite! They have a Lot where you can pay to park, but I had no issues parking on the street for free. Disorganized staff. Reservation Issues. Customer service is mediocre at best. Traveled to Dallas and arrived at the front desk to find out they did not have my reservation in the system. Yes, I had booked the room direct through the Virgin website. My room type was sold out so I had to pay out of pocket for a large suite. They only offered me a $50 hotel voucher. I had also booked a stay for a later date and that reservation was also missing from their system. The Manager said she would resolve and call me back. Days turned in to weeks. At this point I have called four separate times and every time they tell me they will call me back and never do. Three weeks and my future reservation is still not confirmed and these issues are still not resolved. read more

Actually didn't stay here during my time spent in Dallas, however, my friends and I came here for the Rooftop experience. There's a full bar/lounge and dining area on the roof of this hotel. Beautiful views of the city and you're able to sit down while you enjoy a drink or two. The music wasn't the best so we had to cut the night short. read more

I'm a dallas local and a dfw expert and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool experience, or a local looking for a staycation that can take you to another world. I explored all of the different nooks and spaces in the hotel and I was NOT disappointed. Each space is its own vibe. The energy was so positive and exciting - the experience was a 10/10. I stayed at the hotel as part of the Dallas International Film Festival. My stay was great. The hotel property is clean and safe. The staff is very nice and friendly. The room I was in was very clean and modern. The bed was super comfy and that says a lot since I have a purple bed at home. I did like the walk in shower a lot and the rain shower head was very relaxing after a long day. As I said the staff is very friendly. They are willing to do anything for you. For example I asked if they had a soda vending machine where I could get a sprite or orange soda. The front desk told me no but they were willing to get one of the valet staff to drive me down to 7-11 in the hotel house car to get me some soda and snacks. Who offers that??!!? They do! The hotel is uber friendly and the valet guys kept traffic flowing. They and the front desk staff always greet you when you walk by or come back to the property. It was also very easy to order uber eats and they let the driver wait for me to come down to get my food. I stayed for about 10 days and it was a very relaxing stay. I will be back. read more

Check in is at 3pm. The room wasn't ready until 4pm. The lobby seemed disorganized and chaotic upon arrival with only 1 person at the counter helping guests. Valet outside was also disorganized and chaotic with nobody helping manage traffic flow/ The room itself is okay but feels cheap. For example the bathroom sink caulk is messy and the pipe goes into sheetrock that isn't finished appearing as a hole in the wall. The bed sinks down in the middle which indicates need for a new mattress. Not a single pen pencil or notepad in the room is a mystery. The bar is a cheap feeling looking sad place and the bartender's dreadlocks are about 3 foot long. Plus he left the bar every 90 seconds and would be gone for 5 minutes. The hair should be up and wrapped at the very least and a bartender should be AT the bar. We will never come back and stay here. This is a 2 star hotel trying to masquerade as a 4 star, but doing a poor job even at that. read more

Absolutely fabulous experience here! It was my birthday and we actually had a bad experience at a previous hotel and ended up booking this as we pulled up. They upgraded us to a big suite and it was gorgeous, all window and city views. The shower was huge and SO relaxing with amazing water pressure. I could have spent hours in there. The breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was amazing and all the staff were all so nice. The valet was quick and very courteous. I actually ended up leaving my laptop in the room and remembered when we were already at the airport. I called and they were so nice. They're set up with a cool company that you can submit a ticket if you leave something behind and buy the shipping label and they send it back to you. I forget the managers name but we was so nice in regards to when we called for my laptop. We got the laptop back in perfect condition and were SO grateful for their help and our experience here beginning to end. read more

I stayed here for a one night staycation in Dallas. This hotel was busy on a Saturday night with weddings but the front desk still made me feel important. The rooms looked just like the pictures. I stayed on the 16th floor and the room with a view was beautiful. The hotel has valet, but you can try to find parking on the surrounding streets. There is also a restaurant, pool, and fitness center. My room was great and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the cleaning crew the next day kept knocking on my door to ask when I was leaving. I felt rushed...so rushed I forgot my phone in the room and had to be let in to retrieve it. The rooms are pricey but I enjoyed my stay and I would return. Overall a great room and the hotel is positioned around a bunch of things to do in Dallas. read more

Everyone on the staff - (minus the old lady host at commons) was EXCELLENT, very attentive, super nice, they definitely made it feel like home. Special shoutout to our server at the commons- his name starts with a D, he went above and beyond to provide our party with excellent service after the hostess copped an attitude for literally no reason. Our server was an absolute gem, the bartenders were SO nice, as well as the barista at funny cafe, the security was top notch, and check-in staff also so friendly! We will be back! Property is fine, or at least what I see of it. Service is horrendous. Booked using the Chase Luxury Collection and the room wasn't ready. They said there's no upgrade and that check in is at 3. I said we booked through Chase and the girl at the front said, if available completely annoyed and unapologetic. I asked about the benefits, she glossed over some info and then I asked to clarify about the welcome amenity and she said I don't know. I asked for a manager... who wasn't helpful at all. They took our bags and didn't even suggest we go to the pool while we wait. I then noticed they have drag brunch on Sunday's and asked if we could use our breakfast credits and no one knew....they had to get the manager...1) Chase shouldn't partner with this hotel 2) they need to train their staff to be customer centric, even if they don't have all the answers. There is a hidden fee security deposit that they make you pay before checking in. I had the money to pay, but it wasn't on a chip card. I had to sit there for over an hour until they could further help me. They have a small desk at the front with one employee working the desk, and one manager who keeps walking away. The line was long, and so was my list of things to say. In my opinion, this place was not like new. That is the whole theme, right? I stayed at Virgin Hotel in Dallas for a work trip. I arranged to overnight ship 72 oz of breastmilk via Milk Stork. I asked the front desk several times prior to and during my stay if the hotel is able to mail out a FedEx package for me, and they responded yes each time. At the end of my stay, I dropped my package off at the front desk and the staff guaranteed that it would be mailed out that day. According to the FedEx tracking number, it was never mailed out by them. I called the hotel and they said they could not find my package. read more

By far the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel! Bathrooms smell sewage, there's nats everywhere and fully not impressed with the room. The commons club food was bland, overpriced and overrated. The funny library is nice other than the service. I had the rudest barista which I didn't catch her name but she had bob cut. Just the nastiest attitude when walking up to order. 0/10 rating. I had the pleasure of staying at the Virgin Hotel this week. It's a stylish new build in the design district featuring sweeping views of the Dallas skyline, a fun pool deck, and a great happy hour. I loved the live music with the wildly talented Ryan Berg from the Voice. What a pleasant surprise! I got much more than I was expecting. Beautiful new hotel in the middle of Design District. It was a cool evening with a bit of a breeze but not too cold, so I wanted to visit a rooftop bar. My friend thought of this place, so we said why not! When we approached the host at the front and told him we wanted to visit the bar, he told us that we looked like "nice people" and would let us in to the Pool Lounge, although reservations are usually required. He gave us a wrist band and directed us to the 4th floor. Retrospectively, I think 4th floor doesn't seem like much, but you still get a nice view of the Dallas downtown skyline! We got drinks and some calamari. The calamari were okay at best. The drink I got, the galactic, was refreshing, fruity, not too sweet. We walked around a bit. It's quite a large rooftop bar with various seating areas - some around fire pits, some overlooking Design District. I'd say this is a nice place to visit with a group of friends or on a date. Service is friendly and attentive. Staff members were all wearing masks. I felt safe, even with a decent number of customers around, because of the open feel of the bar. read more

Had a staycation at the Virgin Hotel for the 4th of July weekend. Check in was much smoother and quicker than I could have imagined. The hotel is very modern and vibrant. The best part of my stay was the service received from Marcela (wait staff) she provided professionalism to its max & flawless service. She definitely made my stay an awesome & enjoyable one! THANK YOU MARCELA!!! I do have a few take aways: Friday I noticed there were a lot of people in the pool that did not have wristbands nor was there security checking for outside alcohol or guest safety. Also, the DJs did not represent the different genres of music & only stuck to house/edm which was extremely disappointing. The room was hot & took HOURS to get cold!!!! Some friends invited us for brunch. And after eat we ended here for couple of shots. I had no knowledge about this place whatsoever. First thing that caught my attention was the huge sign of "Virgin" in the front of the hotel. Then as I'm walking in the colors, the elegant-modern style... I mean it was super beautiful and fun. I have never experienced anything like this in big Texas. The cocktail menu is pretty nice. The bartender which I think his name is Ken bartender. Shoutout to Ken for making our time amazing with with those lemon shots! He was very personable and attentive to detail. In overall I honestly have nothing to complain but the prices and not so much. It just felt I bit over priced. But imma blame that to inflation. This is a very fun place to go your crew, you significant other or even by yourself because why not lol. I was not a guest of the hotel I came here to check out the rooftop bar. The overall interior and lobby bar created a 1960's vibe with a slight nod to futuristic ideas of that time. Was here last night for a live DJ set at The Manor! I haven't had fun like that in a while! Great music to dance to and everyone was so into the vibe! I felt like I was on vacation on an island or something. They had a cozy outdoor area with plenty of fire pits for those wanting to repeat outside. The bar does get pretty crowded as with any bar later in the night, but the drinks were great! Highly recommend you checkout this place for a night of unforgettable fun! We were EXTREMELY disappointed in our first (and likely only) visit to the Virgin hotel in Dallas. We were in town for a concert and booked a suit so we could work during the day. Upon stepping off the elevator onto our floor we were surprised to see painters tape everywhere on the floor - this gave the public hallway space a very dingy look. There were also wires spilling out of a room into the hallway also looking very sloppy and not upscale. Our suite was also a huge disappointment and many items left us unsure as to whether or not basic housekeeping was done in our suite prior to our arrival much less Covid standard cleaning. We immediately noticed a random electronics charger on the bed side table - presumably from the previous guest and that made us wonder if the room was truly reset in between guests. Next, there was several remnants of something on the ceiling directly above the bed - it looked to be balloons but again, who knows and NOT something you want hanging directly over where you're sleeping. We also found faux flower petals on the floor in both the bedroom and main room which made us grossed out again around basic house cleaning pre our arrival. There was also a long, dark hair in the bathrobe, needless to say we didn't choose to use the bathrobes when we found this (). Finally, the room itself, for a suite was disappointing. Scratches on the sliding doors made the room seem old and worn not new. The towels were not at all soft and luxurious but felt thin and cheap. Our duvet was put on upside down so the opening was at our necks - again, basic housekeeping was lacking and it really made us question as to whether the room was even thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. There was no Bluetooth enabled speaker for the room. Overall, it was very disappointing for the price point and the fact that it's new and marketing itself as a bespoke hotel near downtown Dallas. Love this hotel, I only came for the experience...decor...and to have a different type of atmosphere! This visit was specifically to relax and enjoy the pool! You can valet, which I highly recommend or find street parking! The pool is located on the 4th floor! .....You need to know a few things about the pool! First, there are day passes if you are not a guest. $50.00 during the week and $100.00 on the weekends! The thing that sucks about that, it's not a food or drink credit...however I guess the reason why I wanted to be at this type of pool setting is to enjoy a certain type of experience! I will say, I'm not a fan of 50 or 100 bucks per person not going to at least something...but whatever ...! Moving past that...the 4th floor is divided into two areas, if you don't want to go to the pool, there's no fee...just find a seat and relax! Staff is cool, nothing special ...I do think they need more attentive waiters but it is what it is! I believe a waiter can only stretch themselves so far when there's a lot of special request happening at once! Outside of the pool area, there are games to play and a hot tub area! The views are beautiful and you can hear some cool vibes over the speakers to zone out! Feel free to bring your laptop if you need to work, they have the WiFi to do so! If you left your towel at home, they have plenty on deck! Stunning place to take a tons of photos, laugh, and have fun! Limited menu during the week! I absolutely suggest their burger cooked medium and let it come as is with ketchup, mustard, and mayo! Food came up hot and fresh and loved the gentleman who checked on us! I met Michael (GM) at the Commons Club Friday (2/24) evening. He was very kind and wanted to make sure everything was taken care of. Our bartender (I even kept the receipt so I'd remember his name.... then threw it away) was EXCELLENT, very accommodating, made fabulous drink suggestions, and gave my a great birthday surprise :D If you have time, get the burger at Commons Club. My husband and I were just looking to get a little something in our stomachs before heading to an event and split it. Kind of wish we'd ordered two because it was. so. good. I just completed a 5 day staycation for the 4th of July here. We were a group of 6. I wanted to love this hotel and I really wished this staycation would have been all we hoped it would be as we all took of work for this vacation. Let's start with the pool -FILTHY! The pool is not blue- the water is murky with shades of green. I never saw one person clean it the entire time we were there. At the corners of the pool it literally looked like throw up. The music at the pool is the worst music ever - it's a mixtures of elevator music with techno/house music thrown in. Everyone in the pool (about 40+ people) asked the DJ, managers and servers if they could play anything different and they would not. Terrible music. The front desk girls are beyond rude. Very pretty but no clue how to give good customer service. They do not address you by your name, they are not helpful and actually seem put out if you ask for anything "extra". I will not stay here ever again. Spent $2000+ and honestly would have been better off at a mid range Homewood suites. Extremely disappointing. read more
