I called ahead and was told there were plenty of spaces since it was the 'off season'. Easy self check in - drove through, picked a spot, filled out paper, deposited envelope with $30 in the door slot. It was an all gravel park, some permanent residents, no intrusions (didn't see anyone), good space for maneuvering but otherwise - nothing memorable. Greatly appreciated the few trees that provided shade in the spot we picked, the small grassy area in the front of the park (pups liked it), quiet and peaceful, evening birds, a couple bunny sightings, and electrical hookup for our air conditioner. Honestly- it was the name "Chief Sleep Easy" that drew us in.

Trees are young- so no shade due to size. Dog park is all rock and has weeds and thistles growing up. My dogs hated it. They just stood there. Lucky for us there is a business next door that has some grass we could walk through to help encourage the #2. Which of course we picked up. They do provide 3 dog stations to dispose waste into along with bags, in the park. No one here to check you in. You just reserve your spot and drive to it. It is a Good Sam's but we didn't know where to add that info when booking. And there is no one here to talk to. Camp host on site- but we never saw them. If you're needing a quick stay or easy over night, it will do. The wind blew every day- so we didn't play pickleball on the single court they have. The putt putt is just a single hole. Didn't use laundry. They need weed maintenance in some of the lots.

Beautifully designed, thoughtfully maintained, and surprisingly affordable for the level of amenities. When you first pull in, you're greeted by a water feature and a large, gorgeous building that sets the tone. Inside is check-in (staff were super friendly and accommodating), as well as a mercantile open to both guests and locals. They serve coffee, have snacks, t-shirts, and small essentials -- a great little touch. Walk through that main building and you enter the guest community space, which is outstanding. There's a pool table, piano, movie-watching area, card tables, and even a huge kitchen for gatherings. In the back, there's a room with air hockey, ping pong, and pinball. The building also houses the laundry room, plus multiple guest bathrooms. Step outside and you'll find a barbecue and outdoor seating area for entertaining. The pool complex is resort-level. A zero-entry pool with a fountain cascading from the center, a very large (kidney-shaped) hot tub that's shaded in the afternoon, plenty of seating, and an outdoor shower and bathroom for convenience. The whole area is beautifully fenced and landscaped. Towels are even provided. The park itself has around 150 sites -- spacious, landscaped, and well thought-out. Some newer sections are still being finished, but what's completed shows the level of detail: plants, flowers, and green grass between sites. It feels open and inviting, not crammed in like so many other RV parks. Down at the lower end of the park is a gem -- a pond with a bridge, market lights, catch-and-release fishing, paddle boats, a kayak, and a walking path around it. At night, with the lights reflecting off the water, it's stunning. There's even a small dog park nearby for your pup to stretch out. Between the design, amenities, and the atmosphere, this resort is in a class of its own. We've stayed at plenty of "resorts" that charged more but offered half as much. This place is the real deal, and we loved every minute of it. We'll absolutely be back.
