The location is visible off Ferrell Parkway in a strip. The store is on the corner of the building. Parking is plentiful and lit clean. This was delivery day so the store had some nice allocated bottles of bourbon. Boxes were on the floor as they rushed product up the best they could. It appeared they were short staffed, who isn't these days. I found what I was looking for in a Knob Creek 12 year and a EH Taylor Small Batch. The manager checked me out and was friendly. She discussed a few things going on with Virginia ABC that was helpful. This is not a regular, but recommend and would happily return.

I was there yesterday , June 19th. It was 6:50 PM, 10 minutes before closing. There was a short…read moreolder guy named Mickey monitoring the door, making sure that everyone was wearing a mask. During the 10 minutes I was in the store I watched this man be very disrespectful to the employees and customers. He was telling the employees to "Just shut up and do what I say." I must've heard him tell the two guys working the registers to "shut up" at least five times.... they weren't even saying anything in the first place! He was also just shouting orders at the customers entering the store. The store was busy because it was 10 minutes before they closed so Mickey was trying to get everyone out of the store so he could close up. Around 6:55 he told the 2 men working the registers , as well as the 4 or 5 people waiting outside that they would be the last customers of the day. A younger black woman that was waiting outside didn't have a mask, so he told her that she couldn't come in. At 6:58 - About 3 minutes after he stated that there would be no other customers, a middle aged white man approached the door and said "All I need is 1 bottle of Jack Daniels" and pretty much begged to be let it in. **THIS GUY DID NOT HAVE A MASK AND MICKEY LET HIM RIGHT IN- NO QUESTIONS ASKED.** As the man entered the store, the younger black woman that Mickey denied entry to made a comment about how she was not let it because she didn't have a mask - just 3 minutes earlier. Mickey reluctantly let her in the store. She told him that what he did was not fair. I agree with her. It seemed blatantly racist. All of the customers in the store also agreed. Once the other customer started to chime in , Mickey started to say , "Oh, here we go again...." That guy literally didn't see anything wrong with what he did. This is ridiculous and needs to be addressed immediately.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the various products. It can get hectic during the special allocation drops because of the way they handle things. People start lining up very early on drop day, so either get there early or be prepared to wait in a long line. That goes for everyone, it doesn't matter if you're the town drunk just looking to pick up a pint of your favorite rot gut booze, the line starts way back there... too harsh? You wouldn't believe some of the things I've seen on drop day.

The location of this Virginia ABC Store is in Landstown Commons an area I frequent. It is directly in front of YNot Pizza off Princess Anne inside the strip which can be confusing to navigate. There is plenty of parking and the lot was clean. The store is is average to a bit larger than others. They carry everything you could ever want, however harder to come by items can be out of stock as I found. The staff was fantastic on their recommendations. Also they provided information on when the truck would arrive to get one of the six bottles of Blanton's Bourbon. I like this store better than ones by my home and plan on being a regular. 4.5 rounding up with killer customer service.

My order of Bardstown Fusion Series #4 was paid and packaged when I arrived. I had also confirmed my order with staff Joey who was fantastic! The store truck had arrived a few hours earlier and all the boxes with inventory was shelved. Everything was neat and clean, however the bourbon section was not as large as I've seen in other stores. The parking lot had a decent amount of debris. Availability of spaces seemed adequate for my weekend visit. I requested curbside service and confirmed with the store early afternoon. My purchase was a hard to find typically not available for purchase by curbside or store pick up. The staff said to call upon arrival and they would deliver to me in my vehicle. Once I arrived I decided to go inside just in case they had anything else interesting on the shelf. The store is small, but had a healthy amount of bourbon on the shelf. I did not see anything worthy of spending more money. The staff had my package bagged up and I had already purchased online. The employees were friendly. The receipt was attached. So an easy grab and go process. My score was a Makers Mark Wood Finishing Series. Grab if you see it. This store is far from where I reside, so I most likely will not return.
