I really enjoyed my afternoon visit here yesterday. The staff were wonderful. Very friendly and welcoming. I chose the Mounds Iced Coffee and Key Lime Macaron - both were delicious! So cute! Large and spacious seating with some cool vintage items inside for sale, a large counter area to order, new bathrooms, tons and tons of space to spread out inside, and a toddler play area stocked with goodies. The menu is pretty large and has breakfast all day, sandwiches, tons of drinks, and some pastries. Staff were very friendly and easily answered questions about the menu and made some recommendations for my mom and I who were between a few items. We had some nice breakfast sandwiches here (my mom's was DELICIOUS) and some iced teas that we loved. I chose the HORSEY HAM-WICH + tomato and lettuce but, I wasn't impressed. The ham was cold and it wasn't toasted though I probably could've asked for that... My mom chose the HANGOVER HELPER after I said I was looking it over. It consisted of a fried egg, house-smoked pastrami, swiss, russian dressing, on a toasted everything bagel. It was warm, filling, and just what I wish I ordered! Would happily come back in an instant. Really pleasant experience and relaxed vibes. Loved the little toddler area with a kitchen and some other goodies to entertain the kiddos. I was recommended this coffeeshop by a friend and it did not disappoint. The matcha is super good and a perfect blend. It's isn't too strong or too light. The lavender syrup is subtle but still noticeable. I got the lox bagel, and it was very good as well. The staff are friendly and super helpful with menu suggestions and recommendations. The shop itself is really big and well decorated. They have a cute area to shop miscellaneous items like clothes and kitchen ware. There were a lot of people doing computer work and it seems to be a good study spot. I would recommend, and I can't wait to go back! read more

Stay clear of this location. I will gladly continue to drive through the tunnel to the Norfolk location. We walked in and weren't greeted. We started ordering, 3 large drinks. 1 hot, 2 iced. The large 20OZ hot latte was filled halfway. It was for my mom and normally they offer different milk options when ordering, very thankful because I'll forget my mom prefers oatmilk. They didn't. I LOVE cure! But hated having to go through the tunnel to Norfolk every time! I was so excited when I heard they were opening a location in Portsmouth. Got to visit this morning and the space inside is huge & beautiful! Staff is super nice as always. Love the big windows that let lots of natural light in. Met up with a friend and we each got bagels and coffee, both delicious as always. I look forward to future events and visiting more frequently now that it's so close! First time experience! I have several choices to get coffee near me. This one is Downtown Portsmouth, so of course it's in a great area. I'm sure glad I tried these guys out. Got the seasonal special sweet potato pecan latte. I'm a frappe girl, this is my first time trying a latte. Seemed a little strong but I did like the taste. Next time I'll order it like a regular coffee. I also tried the banana blueberry muffin. The plastic wrap hid the crystals on top, it was good nevertheless. Not super sweet, nice and moist, seemed freshly or recently baked too. I only took a couple pictures of the cashiers counter before *I skedaddled out of there after I dropped all 50 cards out of my wallet onto the floor*. Still, They had fresh flowers to match the light quaint vibe. Wide and bright with mostly white decor. It was so clean and bright that I couldn't focus my camera on the menu. Love that. With all the seating, I won't feel guilty to take up room doing nothing important like the other patrons here on their laptops. I definitely plan on walking here to sit and journal a little. It's perfect. Very cute! There's parking right outside the door or the street. Don't worry if they're all taken up, a parking lot is a couple doors down with a beautiful mural to look at. Can't wait to come back and try a sandwich and tea. I hear the chai latte is to die foe Back a couple months later and there's more art on the walls! I've been here a couple times, and they never disappoint. As per usual, I ordered a churro latte and it's my all time favorite. My husband is a big fan of chai lattes, and I can say their chai is amazing! The cardamom to cinnamon ratio is just perfect. The indoor atmosphere is very open. There's a lot of natural lighting. Along with a variety of seating options. It's big enough for a group, and it's intimate enough for coffee dates. The staff is very friendly and they are quick to serve. I definitely recommend this place if your taking your little ones to children museum or of your just out and about in downtown Portsmouth. This is a coffee shop you don't want to miss out on. I'd like to dedicate the 5 stars to their Spiced Orange Latte (I opted for oat milk). Amazing! There were a ton of people lining up during the weekend but our drinks came out satisfactorily prompt. I was also glad for the high ceiling but overall the space felt a bit bare. I liked the fact that it was airy and bright. I was so excited that they opened a new location here in Portsmouth! I love their location in Norfolk and had high expectations for this new one, and this one did not disappoint! My daughter and I stopped in one Friday morning around 10am while we were in the area. She ordered the Creme Brûlée Latte (her signature latte drink) and she said this was one of the best ones she has tasted yet. She also ordered a plain bagel with butter and it disappeared pretty quickly. I ordered an Oatmilk Latte which I am generally wary of ordering in new places because they can be hit-or-miss, but I would agree with my daughter on this one that it was one of the better ones I've had. This guy really knows how to make a good latte! I also ordered the Avocado Toast with added greens - I was surprised because it seemed to me to be more like guacamole on whole wheat toast with "everything bagel seasoning" on it, and the "greens" were more like a spring mix salad on the side instead of arugula or micro greens on top... not at all what I was expecting but it was really good! This place is super "vibey" and I love how they decorated inside and arranged the furniture. This is the only Cure location I've been to and I really like it. I go often. Lots of options for pastries, desserts, and beverages. I've had all the sandwiches and my favorite is the turkey and fig. It's a perfect sweet and savory balance. The breakfast sandwich is great but it's like one measly slice of really good bacon on it. Always leaves me wanting more. Sometimes they have macarons and they're the largest I've ever seen and taste as good as area macaron shops. And the staff is friendly and helpful if you're indecisive about anything. read more

If you want delicious coffee and personable, warm service, go to The Coffee Shoppe down the street. Highly recommend. The coffee at Cure is tasty. The baked goods and pastries are pretty delicious, too. The food on the menu, however, is atrocious. Avocado toast was flavorless, mushy, and brown. The best Chai Tea latte I have ever had. Went for the first time yesterday and tried one of the November specials. A Ginger Pear Latte, that you can have with Chai. It was beautiful and the flavor was so incredible. Instant obsession. Also had the Hangover Helper. Overall flavor good. Their food selections are perfect morning pick me ups, I've had a couple of their bagel breakfast sandwiches and was not disappointed! I don't want to ruin your ratings, as the customer service and food/beverages I've ordered have been wonderful the two times I've been here. The barista, Katelin, as well as the gentleman in the kitchen have served me both times and both of them made it a wonderful experience. However both times I've been in, a lady with dark curly hair and glasses (who I assume is the manager/supervisor) has been extremely unpleasant. The way she speaks to her staff is really abrasive and uninviting, and makes anyone who hears visibly uncomfortable. I never post reviews, but I hope that a customer pointing this out will result in better treatment of the staff from higher-ups. Tip the staff well, they deserve it. read more
