Greek yogurt, German chocolate cupcake, and lavender mocha
Shilisa D.

Nice spacious coffee shop. The service was good and hospitable. The Greek yogurt was okay, it lacked flavor and the fruit was scarce. The lavender mocha was really good. The German chocolate was rich and delicious. Wish they offered Belgian waffles.

The Portsmouth location of Cure Coffee Bar is hands down my favorite of the four across Hampton Roads. This spot nails it with its spacious, sun-drenched vibe and a delightful array of plants that make you feel like you're sipping your latte in a mini jungle. Plus, they've thought of everything--there are even toys for the little ones to enjoy while you indulge in your own coffee (or adult beverage)! I'm all about the Lavender Latte, & this time I tried it iced! Whether you're craving a caffeine fix or something a bit stronger, they've got you covered. This place is a win all around!

Stay clear of this location. I will gladly continue to drive through the tunnel to the Norfolk location. We walked in and weren't greeted. We started ordering, 3 large drinks. 1 hot, 2 iced. The large 20OZ hot latte was filled halfway. It was for my mom and normally they offer different milk options when ordering, very thankful because I'll forget my mom prefers oatmilk. They didn't. Just not a pleasant experience. Won't be back to this location.

Stopped by today and I have to say, what a cute cafe! I picked up a chai tea latte and a bagel sandwich. The latte is probably one of the best I've ever had. But the staff member that rung me up was so rude and anti social. Left me feeling not so great about the interaction and experience.

Atmosphere is beautiful. Light and bright. Ceiling has old fashioned tile, original wood floors, plants all around, cute lounge area in addition to round tables facing the street. Great place to meet w friends or a date. A few people were enjoying their laptop and some were just listening to the cool music, although a bit loud. However, be prepared to wait. Took 15 min to get a cream cheese bagel $4.50 plus tax 6.+

Very open and fresh atmosphere, friendly staff; I absolutely love Cure! Their hangover helper breakfast sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I've had. The coffee is delicious whether you get black coffee, espresso, or a flavored latte. I've yet to have something that isn't delicious. Everything is made with great ingredients. I'll definitely be back!

I LOVE cure! But hated having to go through the tunnel to Norfolk every time! I was so excited when I heard they were opening a location in Portsmouth. Got to visit this morning and the space inside is huge & beautiful! Staff is super nice as always. Love the big windows that let lots of natural light in. Met up with a friend and we each got bagels and coffee, both delicious as always. I look forward to future events and visiting more frequently now that it's so close! Highly reccomend if you're looking for great coffee & food (especially the baked goods!)

First time experience! I have several choices to get coffee near me. This one is Downtown Portsmouth, so of course it's in a great area. I'm sure glad I tried these guys out. Got the seasonal special sweet potato pecan latte. I'm a frappe girl, this is my first time trying a latte. Seemed a little strong but I did like the taste. Next time I'll order it like a regular coffee. I also tried the banana blueberry muffin. The plastic wrap hid the crystals on top, it was good nevertheless. Not super sweet, nice and moist, seemed freshly or recently baked too. I only took a couple pictures of the cashiers counter before *I skedaddled out of there after I dropped all 50 cards out of my wallet onto the floor*. Still, They had fresh flowers to match the light quaint vibe. Wide and bright with mostly white decor. It was so clean and bright that I couldn't focus my camera on the menu. Love that. With all the seating, I won't feel guilty to take up room doing nothing important like the other patrons here on their laptops. I definitely plan on walking here to sit and journal a little. It's perfect. Very cute! There's parking right outside the door or the street. Don't worry if they're all taken up, a parking lot is a couple doors down with a beautiful mural to look at. Can't wait to come back and try a sandwich and tea. I hear the chai latte is to die foe Back a couple months later and there's more art on the walls! Churro Latte is wonderful, perfect amount of sweetness. Would definitely recommend Lox bagel is hard to find so I'm stoked to try it.

I've been here a couple times, and they never disappoint. As per usual, I ordered a churro latte and it's my all time favorite. My husband is a big fan of chai lattes, and I can say their chai is amazing! The cardamom to cinnamon ratio is just perfect. The indoor atmosphere is very open. There's a lot of natural lighting. Along with a variety of seating options. It's big enough for a group, and it's intimate enough for coffee dates. The staff is very friendly and they are quick to serve. I definitely recommend this place if your taking your little ones to children museum or of your just out and about in downtown Portsmouth. This is a coffee shop you don't want to miss out on. PS they also have alcoholic beverages for those of you who need a little more kick to start or end your day.

Stopped here while in town for the day with a few friends and my husband. I think we had the creme Brûlée latte and it was very good! I downed the whole thing! Love that they made their syrups in house! Coffee was so yummy! Staff was nice and the shop was very cute!!!

I was so excited that they opened a new location here in Portsmouth! I love their location in Norfolk and had high expectations for this new one, and this one did not disappoint! My daughter and I stopped in one Friday morning around 10am while we were in the area. She ordered the Creme Brûlée Latte (her signature latte drink) and she said this was one of the best ones she has tasted yet. She also ordered a plain bagel with butter and it disappeared pretty quickly. I ordered an Oatmilk Latte which I am generally wary of ordering in new places because they can be hit-or-miss, but I would agree with my daughter on this one that it was one of the better ones I've had. This guy really knows how to make a good latte! I also ordered the Avocado Toast with added greens - I was surprised because it seemed to me to be more like guacamole on whole wheat toast with "everything bagel seasoning" on it, and the "greens" were more like a spring mix salad on the side instead of arugula or micro greens on top... not at all what I was expecting but it was really good! This place is super "vibey" and I love how they decorated inside and arranged the furniture. It is a great spot to crash for a work sesh because it isn't too loud inside and there is plenty of seating.

Sooo happy to have Cure in P-town! We visited during their soft opening. The inside is spacious and quiet. Perfect for working or just chilling for a while. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I ordered the signature "Charmer" matcha latte. Husband ordered cold brew. Both were A++! I'll be a regular in no time.

My favorite bakery in Miami, Florida stopped offering them during the pandemic and never put it back on their menu. Anyway, it was delicious and I bought the last three!!!!! My husband, son and daughter in law each got a personal pizza and really liked them. I love stopping here when I'm in the area and want a pick me up. My most recent visit I decided to take my friend here after we grabbed coffee at Fr8 house a few minutes away. We opted to get a whole pizza and went for the Brisket and Blue which had fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, smoked beef brisket, basil, pickled red onion, and green chili jam. The pizza was incredible. It had a great bite, slightly crispy, super savory with a touch of sweetness and the brisket was the savory star of the show. I added a bit of red pepper flake and it took it from a 9 to a 9.5 dare I say 10. I highly recommend checking this bakery out whether it's something as simple as a cookie or croissant or the whole pizza. There is something for everyone.

It's incredibly spacious with high ceilings, tons of natural light, and lots of beautiful details everywhere you look. The front patio is perfect for people watching or just enjoying some fresh air, with lots of space between tables (no awkward eavesdropping here). Inside, the vibe is super chill. There were quite a few people working on laptops, but it didn't feel stuffy or too quiet ... just a comfortable, low-key buzz that makes you want to stay a while. I started off with an iced americano topped with strawberry cold foam. The foam itself was a little thicker than I expected (it was more "whipped cream" than "cold foam"), but honestly, it was delicious. I'd totally order it again. The flavor combination is chef's kiss. A little sweet, a little tangy, and it adds something fun to a classic drink. For food, I went all in on the Box Car Sandwich. If you love grilled cheese, you HAVE to try this. Oozy pepperjack and cheddar, crispy bacon, tomato, avocado, all sandwiched between slices of perfect sourdough. And the special sauce on the side? I could have eaten it with a spoon. I have no idea what's in it, but I want a bottle to take home. I can't wait to come back here and give their espresso martini a try, and their pepperoni swirl pastry looked 10/10.
