I've been disappointed with the Murray's cheese department on multiple visits. Each time I've come…read morein, they've been out of the cheeses I'm looking for, which happens occasionally--but what's more frustrating is the customer service. The staff often seem distracted or engaged in conversations with other customers or coworkers, and when I do get help, the interactions feel rushed and short. Questions are answered quickly and without much explanation, and it gives the impression that helping me is an inconvenience. I expect a specialty cheese counter to be knowledgeable and attentive, especially when items are out of stock, but that hasn't been my experience here. I don't mind substitutions or recommendations--I just want to feel acknowledged and helped. Hopefully this is something that can improve, because I usually enjoy shopping at this Hariss Teeter and would like to have a better experience in the future. If you want it even more neutral, more blunt, or slightly more spicy-but-still-realistic, say the word and I'll tweak the tone.

The produce section was bare and an employee was talking with a regular customer about someone being out because they were sick. I bought a tbone steak. It was a great price on sale and dated 12/03. When I unwrapped the package this evening...it smelled questionable. The bottom brown. The top wax pink but the bottom was brown and it had a funcky smell that I cannot describe.

For the first one I arrived at the store only to be told it was not ready yet so I had to park and wait a while. The second time I checked before going and it wasn't ready. Apparently corporate rolled out a new system that is a train wreck and is incredibly inefficient. After I complained to corporate the new store manager called me with excuses and promises, and said he would put a credit on our account but he did not. I don't have time for this nonsense and I'll be shopping at Publix from now on. THEY know how to treat customers. They're a little more expensive but all the BOGO deals make up for it and the outstanding customer service and product quality too.

Signage can be seen from the road. Parking lot was clean and spacious. There are also spaces closer to the business on the side I would recommend. I arrived at noon with my bourbon hunting brethren to get a rare bottle. However the line was long. Once opened the line was orderly and I missed out on my first choice. However my second was a strong hard to find Knob Creek 15 year. The store is on the smaller floor plan of ABC, however the bourbon area was good size. Two checkouts are available. I had no contact with staff other than checkout which was straight forward by credit card. This store is not close to where I reside and may or may not return. 3.5 rounding down.

They carry everything you could ever want, however harder to come by items can be out of stock as I found. The staff was fantastic on their recommendations. Also they provided information on when the truck would arrive to get one of the six bottles of Blanton's Bourbon. I like this store better than ones by my home and plan on being a regular. 4.5 rounding up with killer customer service.
