After a lengthy conversation with an employee I was met with disappointment realizing they rarely, if ever, hold tastings. If you're anything like me, you'd kind of like to sample the bourbon you're about to drop nearly a hundred bucks on. Oh well, such is life. I settled on a 375 of Woodford Reserve. The lot and walk up was debris free. I was greeted when I walked in at opening by friendly staff. I found the shelves bare as they are scheduled to receive a truck next day. The store is old and small, but it was clean. Not much on the shelves in the bourbon area, but they did have a favorite Four Roses Small Batch Select in good quality. With no new allocated items I left. I would not bother with this store unless I knew they specifically had what I wanted. But it's a good store if not choosy. 3.5 rounding down.

The experience was not near as wild as that of a moonshine tasting in Gatlinburg and not quite as bougie as a wine tasting in the Napa Valley. Mead tasting sits in the neutral middle. Our taste master did a phenomenal job explaining what mead is and how it is used in winemaking and it was not only an interesting new adventure it was very educational. The place is set up three fold. One area as a store, one for tasting and another "bar area". It is decorated in all bee and honeycomb themed art and gives an artisanal vibe. We walked out with some honey but not as much as I would have liked due to the attitude of the little bully.

One of the fun extras and their gift shop is the honey varieties.
