I am not normally someone who posts reviews on Yelp, but, because of the frequency with which…read morevisits to the doctor can become visits to your local medical hellscape, I wanted to write a note about the Eye Center. Every visit I have had here has been absolutely wonderful. I seldom have to wait beyond the scheduled time for my appointment, and, when the appointment does begin, the staff are courteous, caring, and attentive to what I am physically feeling. The women working in the optical division of the Eye Center are nothing short of wonderful, as well (my particular experience has been with Emily, whom I would credit for ensuring that I do not prematurely develop blindness). I tend to be very critical of doctors (medical jargon doesn't impress me, in the words of Julia Sugarbaker), and I've never had anything but wonderful experiences here. If your insurance covers the Eye Center, I would heartily encourage you to go. The facility is lovely and maintained impeccably, and the staff and doctors are a delight.

I'm not going to talk really bad about Eye Center, but I am also not going to say I got the best…read morecare either. I have been wearing eyeglasses/Contacts for decades now. My old Eye Doctor back in my hometown only had 1 person working in the office. It always seemed that I was in and out quickly. There are 3 providers that I know of here. I lost count of the number of people working in this business, this just needlessly drives up the cost of care in my opinion. My primary issue is I was careless and let the provider prescribe a contact lens that did not work correctly. I made contact and was told they would order a trial lens and call me back for another fitting That was months ago and I still have not heard back. I'm not going back, and it's a shame because this clinic is almost within walking distance from my home.

I was very surprised to hear that I needed cataract surgery and even more hesitant when I heard how…read moreit would be done. (I really thought I was seeing very well for my age - almost 79). After having my worst eye done first (left) and on the very same day of surgery, I tried comparing my eye sight. I was looking at a large black & white picture with my right eye and it was perfectly clear to me with my prescription glasses on. Then I took my glasses off, closed my right eye and looked at it with the left eye. It was an "OMG" moment for sure. The picture was a bright white and sharp, clear black. I looked again with the right eye and realized I was seeing a cream color, not white, and a dark gray... not black. I have had both eyes done now with very positive results (as they expected) and the difference is amazing. I must say that dealing with Dr. Jani and his staff was a very good experience before, during and after the procedure (which took only a few minutes). It was also very educational and everyone, including Dr. Jani, treated my questions and concerns with respect and understanding, while taking the time to answer fully, until I was comfortable with the answers. Dr Jani even explained (when I went for my followup) the weird sounding music I had heard and commented about while he was doing the very painless procedure... it was the various tones the machine was making while he was working on me! Sounded like chamber music to me. We had a good laugh about that. I would and will recommend Dr. Jani to anyone in need of his expertise. He is an excellent doctor and I have absolutely no complaints to pass on to anyone. In fact, I'll kind of miss going to see him and his staff.

I am very grateful to Dr. Binoy Jani for his wonderful care before and after my cataract surgery…read more He is very professional and caring and has a great reputation in Culpeper, VA. Again, thank you Dr. Jani and your staff for all that you do for your patients. Mirna S.

If you notice, most of these reviews are old. This place used to be Family Physicians of Chester,…read morebut those doctors have retired and it is a new practice in the same building. My father sees NP Kim Plummer. My father is 76 years old with congestive heart failure, diabetes, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. In November of 2022 he got very ill with a virus (dangerous for a cancer patient) & ran around 103 degrees fever for three days while we tried to get in touch with NP Plummer. After the fourth day, we finally got a phone call back (after talking to the answering service in Ohio). She told the answering service to give her about 30 minutes to call my mom back (she was the on-call doctor & it was 6am. We were ready to take him to the hospital). When she finally called, she told my mother, in a very impatient manner, that she had already called in a prescription for my dad two days ago. No one in the office, including NP Plummer, took time to inform my mother of this. When mom told NP Plummer no one had informed us, Plummer's response was "I did my part". Apparently, bedside manner was not a course she took in medical school. Don't go here. Not only is she dismissive and uncaring, but the office is completely unorganized and obviously has communication problems.
