We were trying to avoid DC traffic and ended up stopping here because my son saw a train on the side of the road. I'm really glad I stopped. The staff is so friendly and they all want to make sure you're OK. There are such a large selection of produce, and groceries in general. Their ciders are amazing, I've never seen peach or cherry cider in my life. They have samples of everything and they encourage you to taste it all. I thought I was going to walk in buying a couple of apples and I left spending $80.

I always stop here when i'm avoiding the DC traffic. It's really hard to miss the big red barn. During fall, there in an unbelievable number of pumpkins lining the street too! I always pick up something up - whether it's body lotion, cider, jam, pie, honey donuts, virginia peanuts- there's always something! There's a huge variety of things- mostly pastries and canned gods. I do wish they had a little more produce!

Visit this place every year! Love the wide variety of apples. They also have various ciders, pies, candies, pumpkins, wines, and more! It's such a friendly quaint place that all would enjoy going to. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Very nice market with a variety of items. Pies are reasonably priced. Weight staff was very nice. It's an open air market. It was a little warm inside, but we survived. My sisters purchase peach, blueberry and apple pies to take to Massanutten resort for the week

Barn style painted in bright red would make you want to pullover even for just a bathroom break. Tons of merchandise, jams, ciders, nuts, hams, eggs, pies, fruits, souvenirs bags, pickled items and plenty more. No sampling of any kind due to covid. Open lot free parking. Back lot has a pumpkin patch for kids.

Virginia Farm Market is located along U.S. Route 522 (North Frederick Pike) in Winchester, Virginia. I don't live in the area but have driven by this open-air market in the big red barn many times over the years. A few days ago, I was traveling through the area and really had a taste for some fresh peaches. I pulled into the large parking lot which appeared well maintained and free of debris. Upon entering the market I was impressed with the variety of products available. Everything is organized well and product displays are attractive. Prices are clearly marked and the market is very clean. On display is a good variety of fresh seasonal local produce. There are different varieties of apples, peaches, plums, pears, melons, sweet corn, peppers, cabbage, green beans, squash, cucumbers and more. In addition to produce they also have amazing selection of fresh baked pies and an extensive selection of apple cider with free samples available. They have doughnuts and ice cream by the scoop and so much more. You can even buy bacon, ham, cheese, eggs, my favorite Troyer's Trail Bologna and so much more. The staff and employees are very friendly and helpful. They seem to enjoy their jobs. On this occasion, I only purchased some peaches, plums and sweet corn. They were all very fresh really delicious. I will not hesitate to stop the next time I drive through the area, I look forward to trying more of their great products.

    Cherry pie!

All I can say is, come here for the pie. Best cherry pie I've ever had with massive whole fresh cherries in every bite. While you're here grab some of their homemade apple cider donuts... and for balance some locally grown produce as well ;)

One of the best farm markets in northern Virginia. Fall is a perfect time to visit. I like the cherry apple cider and fruit pies.

This wasn't what I considered a farmers market! Very limited produce and more of a gift shop and a place to get a quick bite.

Come to the large, covered market to buy fresh fruits, corn & other vegetables, as well as jars of jams, jellies, chutneys, and fresh bakery goodies. Enjoy picking your own apples or choose from several varieties in the store, picked in season as they ripen. Have a picnic while the kids play on the equipment in the play area. Choose your pumpkin. Try the delicious fresh cider and the fresh fruit slushies. It's all good. Their apple cider donuts are legendary. Lots of parking. Not far out of town. I wish my own hometown had a place like this.

The orchards have several apple varieties, are well maintained and easy to navigate. The price is quite reasonable, you pay by choosing between three sizes of bags to pick the apples. They have picnic shelters and several playgrounds for kids that are free. Kids can also participate in a tractor ride in individual cars that are pulled by a riding lawn mower. We didn't see a full size tractor ride however. If you come hungry, try their apple cider donuts, slushies and ice cream. All of it is really good!
