Ruined my life…read more They messed up the same surgery twice in a row leaving me in pain over five years later. The only reason I haven't sued them is because apparently they mess up so much that the law firms in the area are all too busy to take on new cases.

I was in the emergency room at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA, on June 04, 2025. I was seen…read moreby a Physician Assistant (PA) in the emergency room.. I have discovered that Swedish does not handle the billing for emergency room Doctors, Physician Assistants, or Nurse Practitioners. The billing service is performed by an unrelated entity called "Seattle Emergency Physicians Services." PROBLEM: I have never received any billing statement or detailed invoice from you; please email both to me. I've already reached my out-of-pocket maximum for 2025, so I shouldn't be responsible for any medical costs related to my emergency room visit. HORRIBLE PATIENT EXPERIENCE Since I have never received any billing from your office, I do not have (1) a client number or (2) an account number when I tried to set up my profile and provide you with my medical insurance information. (See pasted copy of your website below) This is completely unacceptable. Why wasn't my personal and insurance information provided to your office by Swedish Medical? As a responsible person, I have spent countless hours trying to ensure all my medical bills are paid. Swedish Medical provided me with different phone numbers for "Seattle Emergency Physicians Services." I kept calling and was on hold for over an hour each time. I spent three hours at various Swedish Medical facilities (Broadway and Cherry Hill locations), but no one there could help me. I was told again to contact your office. Now, I am on the phone, waiting once more for someone to answer. Swedish Medical and Seattle Emergency Physicians Services should be ashamed! How could a disabled or elderly person navigate this extremely fragmented and poor-quality billing service?

After a dirtbike crash that fracture my tibia &…read morefibula, and cracked a few ribs that I busted last summer, my pain was the worst I've ever experienced. It hurts to breathe, it hurts to move, it hurts to not move. They asked what my pain level was, I replied at least a 9 out of 10. They gave me tylenol & lidocaine patches that weren't even applied to the affected area. I was left sitting on the edge of the bed with my broken leg just hanging down for hours. No offer from anyone to get help to lay down. Over the course of 5 hours, I was checked on twice. It was about 80° in my room, and I mentioned this to a nurse. "Oh yeah, it is really hot in here." She looked at the thermostat and left. The x-ray techs were pushy, rude, and shoved me around causing so much pain I nearly passed out. After 3 hours or more, I was finally given some actual pain medication, but had to request it while wincing in pain. I would strongly suggest going to any other emergency room if at all possible. One other thing, when my door was cracked open for a short period, I heard many conversations between patients and staff that should have taken place in private. I now know "Maria's" full history of bowel movements, or lack thereof. I know all about "Carl's" recent stroke and shoulder injury. Incredibly unprofessional.

After a quick X-ray and a saline rinse they wrapped my finger up, fitted me with a sporty finger splint and sent mw on my way. Five stars. Will definitely visit again when I slice upon my hnd in the kitchen.

This is after an Emergency room visit with an extremely unqualified staff who seems to be lacking…read morebasic patient care training. Let's start by myself being questioned why we were at "this" ER, instead of an ER that we prior visited earlier in the day... well this ER was closer to our home, we needed immediate medical attention, it was getting late and the first discharge paperwork stated to return to ER immediately if having problems.... Overall Why does it matter?... I'm in the middle of trying to get care for my wife who has extremely complex and acute conditions and we were disrespected at every step of our visit. I took us to what a thought was a professional medical facility with professionally trained medical staff that respected patients and took their jobs seriously. We were viewed as drug-seeking from what I can tell, as that could be the only explanation for the treatment we have received, and that is just unacceptable. The team did not listen to me, the caregiver of the patient, and against my direction made numerous mistakes that led to further patient harm and distress. Starting with in the waiting room, my wife had to be assisted to a recovery position on the floor so she did not fall out of her wheelchair due to active seizures - staff approached us and said we could not be on the floor and she had to get up. At this time my wife was in the middle of seizures, unable to communicate, understand, or control her own body. I had to argue for them to even listen and they left, clearly frustrated - but not offering any help. Later the same nurse came out saying they had a bed - my wife was still on the floor and unable to utilize her strength to move herself. The care staff then asked, "what do you want us to do?" I thought that hospital staff are trained to help patients off the floor from falls and etc, so I literally said, "are you not trained to help a patient off the floor?". After they finally sent out staff to assist me in picking my wife up to get her to the room, they literally asked me to open their medical cabinet to grab IV and blood draw equipment - I am not a medical staff at UW - that is totally unacceptable - again! What procedures are in place to ensure these numerous mistakes are not made over and over? It is a harm to patients, patient families, and the community. It's crazy how those most vulnerable and dependent upon intensive medical care, are treated the worst by the medical staff they rely upon. One of the first things I said is to not use her left arm due to the series of conditions that will make it difficult, if not impossible to get a line. Well you can clearly see they did not listen and blew her vein out. We followed up with our primary doctor at UW who was horrified at the care we received. Let's just end with although this is the closest ED to our home we will take the risk and drive to the next one. We have reached out to patient relations numerous times with no response. It seems that they are more concerned about google reviews here than good patient practices and may finally get back to us here?????????
