I injured my knee - I had an MRI scheduled - the day before I try to do the e- check in and it's requiring a $400 payment I don't have $400 - I pay $700 a month for health insurance and I have social security- I've been raked over the coals here before- so I called to cancel - when I told them why I was canceling - I was admonished because me cancelling was screwing up their schedule - They cancelled the appointment- then they had the nerve to call me back so they could rub it in. I applied for help but was told I did not qualify because I didn't enclose tax returns I don't make enough money to file taxes - my only income is social security and a small pension that covers about 60% of my private health insurance - apparently that disqualifies me from getting any kind of help So yeah - thanks for nothing Swedish read more

Just had an anesthesia MRI a week ago, they did a fantastic job, they had me under very fast, the aftercare was extremely good. It's not the closest to me but I will gladly go to them moving forward for all anesthesia testing. The office staff was great, they took care or kept an eye on my father for me as well. My only complaint is the discharge was not what I'm used to, it worked out in the end but in a normal situation this would've lowered my score by a star, for me it was great but if it was a loved one it would not have been. read more

ER nurses flat out didn't listen to my situation and had attitudes as if they didn't care nor believe me. I went to the ER for what I assumed was an od for taking too much an old medication of mine. I was shaking uncontrollably, unable to breathe properly, fast heart rate and felt confused. I feel I explained my situation and symptoms very clearly to them through the extreme discomfort and fear I felt. There was zero sense of urgency from any of the FOUR nurses in my room. Their comments were extremely accusatory and caused me to feel even more panicked, as I really believed I was dying. The only action they took was taking my blood. My blood pressure would drop every 5-10 minutes and I would feel extremely light headed. My sister expressed her concern and they brushed it off as normal. Their lack of understanding of my situation only made it more difficult for me to breathe, I started to hyperventilate and one of the nurses commented "you're breathing to hard and I think you know that". I was there for 3 hours riding out this traumatizing experience with zero medical help. They sent me home saying I had simply only hyperventilated. The following day I was able to learn I had experienced serotonin syndrome from the medication I had taken that can cause seizures and you can DIE from. This is usually my go to hospital and I will be avoiding it in the future due to this. Truly disgusted by the way I was treated, I believe assumptions were made about me due to the way I choose to dress and present myself. I hope that one of them will see this and change the way they address future patients. read more

We got to check in at 9:30 for my dad's 12:00 surgery, zero communication about procedures/time until after 2 pm, at 5 when we got a call we could go to his room, the discharge team were completely unknowlagable, no pain meds, pulled his IV and he bled everywhere :( we finally made it home at 9:30 pm :( so very disappointing!! read more

Kelsey L Ford Bench is the Dr. I saw in the ER on 5/17/25 around 2pm. It was the worst experience I ever had. She was unprofessional, argumentative, and apathetic. She provided me with a radiology report that was incorrect. When I told her it was incorrect she questioned me as if I was wrong; she told me I had a hysterectomy (have never).SHe then provided me with a "new diagnosis". I was outraged that she handled this so nonchalant. As a woman of color have to advocate for myself ALL THE TIME. She really didnt care. I talked to the charge nurse who wasnt much help. I will recommend that no one go to their emergency room. If Dr. Ford is your doctor.....RUN THE OTHER WAY. read more

Get here and after being being registered by an unfriendly registrar was told there is an issue with the order and they may not be able to do the scan. Pretty incompetent. I arrived early for an afternoon appointment and was ushered into the testing area right away. Each of the three professionals involved in my test -- ultrasound technician, speech pathologist, and radiologist -- were completely friendly and approachable, and clearly explained procedures both beforehand and while they were happening. I will never, ever go to Swedish Cherry Hill for treatment ever again. In 2023/24 I was in the care of Swedish Neuroscience Institute (Neurosurgery) for a cervical spine issue, and ended up having a foraminotomy. But the nightmare through the entire nearly-year process was the schedulers/scheduling. I literally do not have the words to describe how inept and incompetent the receptionist/schedulers are for neuro. There was not a single time in that entire year when there was not an issue. They had the file and then they said they never received it; they called the referring physician one day and then the next said they'd never received my file and never made the call. They cancelled appointments I had waited months for right before they were to finally happen. I unfortunately recently had to go to neuro again, and my doctor referred me to them. I had the exact. Same. Experience. I am utterly dumbfounded as to what the problem could possibly be. But this time, after three calls in wherein they had already messed up horribly, I had the sense to say "I don't trust you with my care," and get a referral elsewhere. The entire department has a terrible vibe, and horrendous communication with patients. If you're in neuro you aren't there for something small: of all departments, you would hope this one would have their act together. Instead they are disorganized to an incredible degree, negligent, careless, and to boot make you feel like it's actually you causing the problem. --I've never written a negative review for anyone or thing before, but this has to be said, so that those who are needing to be referred to neuro in the Seattle area can tell their referring physician to send them somewhere--anywhere!--else. :( read more

Shame on this hospital. My fiance was in their ICU for 4 days, was told that she had at most 90 days to live and that if she survived it would be a "miracle case". Not only that, but her IV had fallen out and sent me a picture of the puddle of blood she was laying in because the nurses took 2 hours to get her IV fixed... while in an "icu". On top of that, i discharged her myself because the doctor was just telling her she was dying, took her to a different hospital, and she is making a complete recovery. Oh and she also had pneumonia which Cherry Hill just said "was part of her infection" when she was complaining that she couldnt breathe and had a bad cough. I strongly encourage this hospital's upper management to reconsider who their doctors are. read more

Dr Savage is incapable of treating patients with respect or care. I came in due to a possible cardiac event, which he completely dismissed and said the person who referred me to the hospital should lose their license. His team gave me a medication that caused me to experience anaphylaxis. I was only checked on once after that happened, then almost two hours later Dr Savage decided to saunter in after he was informed that I was concerned that I had not been treated for what I came to the hospital for. He treated me with the most disrespect I have ever experienced from a physician, and when I told him he was being condescending and I didn't appreciate it, he stormed out and screamed "YEAH, IM BEING CONDESCENDING NOW." It is wildly inappropriate for a physician to respond to a patients request to be heard and understood by doing what he did. Also, turns out I probably DID have a heart attack! But no one read my ECGs until 3h after I was discharged. This man should not be allowed to practice medicine. He is a vile human with a god complex that is wildly unearned. read more

Would give this place 0 stars if I could. I decided to look past the other negative reviews because all I needed was a primary care appointment, and all other hospitals in the area were booked out for months. I was able to get an appointment within a month, and everything went fine going in. Then two weeks later I got a $500 bill in the mail. I have good insurance, and have never had to pay for preventative care, so I called both my insurance and swedish to try to sort it out. Apparently they bill new patients with a $500 fee that is purposefully not classified as preventative care, even though the care is in fact preventative. They were extremely terse about it on the phone, essentially saying "this is the way it is." Avoid at all costs - if I went through this much trouble just to essentially get a yearly checkup, I can't imagine how much of a headache it is if you have any actual medical needs. read more

Only complaint is Labcorp located on the 2nd flr. Absolutely no customer service skills, the middle aged man behind the desk is whom I'm referring to. And there was one young lady that seemed to be in training sitting along side him. Hopefully she will not imitate his customer service skills. He made it clear several times to anyone this lab had no affiliation with Swedish hospital. How are we, the customer to know this lab located inside the hospital, LabCorp is not affiliated with the hospital, oh how he made it clear to each one of us sitting in waiting room. The staff, especially the nurses, are fantastic. If you have to park I'd suggest finding a lot somewhere else and Uber or cab. Finding an open space, particularly one for handicapped parking is nigh on impossible. Going to the back tower means walking a good distance to get to registration. read more

My worst hospital visit in forever. I came in because it was recommended because i was found dehydrated and covered in bruises, cuts, all around in lots of pain. About 2 hours in I wanted to leave already because the only thing they did was giving me a drip IV and rest. Then they came in demanding they take my phone because of a "policy" i asked for the policy in writing so many times, never got it. Took my phone when my dad who lived a far whiles away was supposed to come get me. They restrained me when telling them I was leaving. Worst experience ever. Swedish and a lot of places in Seattle are not for professionals, they are for zealots and cults apparently haha. read more

My wife has an AICD that has to be replace every 7 years or so. Before Group Health they used to use Virginia Mason as their hospital, but now it's Swedish. In previous years the outpatient process was confusing and, as the driver/caregiver, there were never clear instructions about where to wait and to meet my wife after her surgery. Swedish has worked this out extremely well. While she was in prep, I kept waiting for them to kick me out, but I was able to stay with her until they wheeled her down. They also gave me a sheet with her tracking number and clearly labeled steps of what to expect. There are TV screens in the waiting areas, that let you track the patient's progress. And, when the surgery was over, the dr. called on my cell phone, so I wouldn't have had to stay in the hosptial if it hadn't been snowing. The cafeteria is also nice, the parking garages are close and reasonably priced, and the orderlies will wheel the patient to the garage so you don't have to bring the car around.. read more

I have had 3 brain surgeries and it has been a success. The Dr Dorothy is my neurologist and Dr Gwenn did the brain surgeries. I have had nothing but success from the surgeries. My daughter just spent 43 days at the Cherry Hill Neuro CCU and she got the very BEST care there! She had some very difficult times (severely handicapped and off the chart seizures) and worried parents. But, everyone there was very professional, caring, knowledgeable and helpful. We felt she was safe there and the NCCU was a quiet, peaceful place for her to recover from her life changing events. She's home and slowly recovering now and they're even giving us in home care via Providence to help her settle in with her new Trach and PEG (feeding tube). She and her mom and dad are VERY grateful for the wonderful care she got there! :) read more

Late 2020, found out that my husband has a brain tumor via MRI with contrast, after the winds from Hurricane Greta (LA) caused the drivers-side big rig door to injure his neck and back. Over a year later, we decided after I recover from an Aortic Amplatzer procedure, that we will go home (WA) to find a surgeon capable of removing it. We flew from GA to WA 10 days ago and went directly to the ER in Lacey. Dr. Douglas referred us to his colleague, Dr. Cobbs and he agreed to take our case. On Nov 12, this brilliant brain surgeon successfully removed all of the golf ball sized tumor, that was slowly closing off his spinal fluid, during a staggering 7hr operation. He and his team did for my husband in 4 days what two different hospitals systems could not do in the past year and a half. There are not enough words to express how deeply grateful we are to those men and women. This bottom of the barrel rating is for the administration of SCI. The decisions made to restrict loved ones (from out of town with no permanent residence of their own), from being present throughout treatments of patients is unacceptable. No other HEALTHCARE system in America has attempted to separate my husband and I, for any reason, during life saving medical procedures either in GA, MN, SC, TX, and even Washington Medical Center where my LVAD journey began Thanksgiving Day 2014. It is a shame when patients and their families have to struggle with red tape while the ones they love are clinging to life, even though exceptions were made during this event, I feel for other families past and future. The communication among the nursing staff and their managers is sad to say the least. HEALTHCARE is broken here. The unnecessary stressors caused by disrespectful and ill-tempered individuals is not our idea of caring for anyone's health. We see, understand, and have experienced why their facility rating is below average. In addition, I was referred to this hospital for LVAD care, pfft no way. SCI will not get another opportunity to treat us like vagrants. End of story! read more

I absolutely LOVE Swedish Cherry Hill! everyone is so nice and helpful. I have heart failure and they have been very good at answering all of my questions, making sure I understand the information they give me when answering those questions, and they make sure I get the best treatment for my personal condition! They always respond quickly through Mychart with any concerns I have. I am on Medicare Advantage and they treat me no differently than someone with high end private insurance! I will never go anywhere else for my heart failure treatment! On a side note, I love the Cherry Hill campus. it's relaxing for me just to be there. The hospital cafeteria and the Starbucks coffee shop are awesome. I enjoy walking the halls and looking at all the art throughout the facility. There are many places to comfortably sit throughout the facility as well! Fantastic place to receive healthcare! read more

I have visited Cherry Hill Swedish medical center for orthopaedic help and have been very happy with the diagnosis .. they do a temperature check at the entrance and make sure everyone is masked up and they have waiting area on each floor with social distance practiced.. parking can be a pain since street parking is very hard to find and paid parking on their premises is limited.. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Kitty for a few years. His staff is incompetent and rude; their entire staff, including Dr. Kitty Kaibooriboone do not know how to use Epic which is connected to MyChart and after 4 calls trying to get assistance and failing to resolve the issue due to them not understanding how to to their job. In retaliation, they have become upset with me and fired me as an epileptic patient during the Coronavirus and if I get a fever, there is a high risk of seizure activity and death. All because some administrative personnel doesn't care about their patients. They are bullies!!! read more

I was there for 5 days and it was absolute hell. The ICU has a bright light that shines on your face and they won't dim it or turn it off because it's by a "nurse's station" in fact there was a small office in that section with a computer and door they could close do whatever they needed to do. The main nursing had enough room and light. The ICU treated me like I was garbage, I was in a lot of pain, I could barely move, they come in every hour ask me for my name, date of birth, where am I, what was done to me...I had a small procedure in my brain. Try answering those questions every hour without an ounce of care, I had to beg for pain medication, if I pressed the button to get a nurse it would take then at least 10 to 15 minutes to get to where I am. I was moved from ICU the day after, the nurses saw me puke my guts out after trying to feed me but did nothing but stare at a computer trying to figure out how to order anti nausea medication 3nurses staring at a computer ...not one of them bothered to come to where I was. They got me out of bed a few hours later taking a few steps and said "she's ready let's move her to the 5th floor" They basically packed all my things in this big bulky wheelchair and dropped me off as fast as they could, like they were trying to get rid of an annoying in-law, I couldn't even drink the broth I ordered because got me out of that floor ASAP, the second floor where ICU is had plenty of empty beds. The 5th didn't get better, call nurses when the machines beep or when you need to go to the bathroom, wait time like 20 minutes if that. Some buses where awesome, kind...some where just so cold without zero ounce of compassion. 5 days of hell in this place, I couldn't wait to get out. read more

Waited over 10 hours in the back hallway of the Swedish Cherry Hill Campus Emergency room to be admitted into an upstairs room. During that time two different doctors came by to assess our situation, both asking the same questions and administering the same strength tests. During our time here, we had a total of three nurses assigned to us. One was excellent, the other two mainly only came by to check on us when requested. What a waste of time. Don't go to this hospital if you have an emergency. They don treat their patients first come, first served. It's all about whether you have good insurance or no insurance. Appears very discriminatory. Stay away from this hospital if you want quality health care within a reasonable waiting period. read more

Emergency care @ a great speed! There are some of us that live a long healthy accident free lives. And then, there are some of us that constantly get injured, sick or frequent emergency rooms. I guess I've always been in the latter group. As luck would have it, I frequent emergency rooms at least once or twice a year mainly for accidents. Fractured ankle, fractured knees, wrist, arm, head! I am clumsy what can I say!! And every year, I frequent Over lake hospital for some reason. Maybe east side is my bad side? That was until recently. I came to Swedish late night for major stomach problem/ dehydration. I hesitated before coming because I didn't want to spend hours waiting as usual. But when it gets so bad, you just had to come! That being said, I do like Swedish for other services. Primary care and all that. Unlike Over lake, the emergency care here isn't all that swanky or pretty. It is small and efficient. I was in, tested, got IV and out in a few hours as opposed to several hours wait time that I'm used to. When I came in, there was only two other people waiting. One was handcuffed to his chair by SPD and one was the victim with a gash on his head? So much commotion!! I think one was a homeless person. He kept screaming about paying $100 for a taco? Say what? I was in a cranky mood so didn't really listen but would've been entertaining. Long story short, I got a room in about 15 minutes. They took some test,xrays. Holy dehydration! Got me hydrated and sent home with meds in a few hours. Did I mention how little my wait time was? Instead of normal 4-6 hours ,this only took about 3 hours. Ok it's still long but just not that long. Maybe it helped that I didn't break/fracture any bones this visit but still. Maybe it was an off night. Maybe I got lucky. So man maybes but I still appreciated the speed. The staff was nice too. Thanks Swedish! Don't plan on coming back if I need another ER visit, I'll choose you first! read more

I am being treated by Swedish Cardiac and Vascular Care center. Had Cardiac Catheterization this morning. The staff and facility were excellent. Very impressive facility and incredibly supportive staff. The short term stay facility was exceptional! They were very organized, friendly, and constantly checking on to see if I had any questions. Impressed with communication as they called my daughter after my procedure, and gave her a very accurate time to pick me up. Wished I had written down the names of every person. We came here couple of times to visit our friend after surgery. I believe the service from doctors and RNs is impeccable. Why two stars? After crossing Starbucks in the reception area to the rooms is dirty. The bathrooms are filthy. It's a hospital and having poop on the toilet seats spread diseases. They need to maintain the bathrooms sanitized. Some floors in the hallway are not properly swept and many other places. I pray I never have to have a surgery here. Also, there was a patient and she was calling someone again and again. One of our friend told the wannabe nurse/receptionist working in the center hub about her. No one went there . When the patient again started calling again about 2 minutes then she sends her co-worker and he went there very calm. My goodness. I don't think so they are RNs because they were very casual. I have stayed in Overlake and it was not good either but it was cleaner and the personnel in the central hub where more attentive and not gossiping. So bleh. read more

I had dreams of climbing out of Purgatory and was laughed at for climbing over a gurney's guard rail and dropping myself to the floor in my sleep, but that was how much I wanted to escape that place. I even had a doctor question me if I really wanted to live. One night my call button was not hooked up but I didn't know that and kept trying to call the nurse for help getting to the bathroom. I was looking for a new primary care physician & made an appointment for an annual checkup with Dr Gittens, which should have been 100% covered by Aetna. Flash forward, I get a $200 bill for this routine, annual checkup. Figured it must be a billing mistake so I call to have them investigate. After a "comprehensive review," they decide they didn't make a mistake & are insisting that I should be charged $200 for what amounts to preventative care covered by most health insurances. Rather than just bill for what Aetna will would pay for, they're insisting I pay. Don't EVER go!!!! They'll painfully find ways to make you pay for services that heath insurance would 100% cover. The fact that they can't even bill properly should scare anyone looking to for preventative care from Swedish family practice. read more
