My issue was a small one but was figured out, so I appreciate them for pinpointing it! They showed me the small issue that was causing the problem, so that was helpful moving forward for me so I'll know what to look for in the future!. I really appreciate some of the things they told me but on the other hand I really felt they charged me for a service I didn't need! I understand the business side of things but I also understand the consumer side of things as well.. I left off a star because honestly I believe they knew what the problem was before they asked me if I wanted them to run a coolant system test after they realized it wasn't any leaks! The front desk person mentioned the cap being one of the possibility issues as well after realizing there were no leaks. But I can't say for sure because I can't prove it,but I have a gut feeling I'm correct on my beliefs. But I'll eat this one this time!!!.. I know time is money so they felt they had to charge me for more than a radiator cap, which I felt was overpriced for what they charged me for it!. It all boils down to this, ultimately they charged me for a service they knew I didn't need and that is dishonesty in its worst form just to make a buck! I believe since my last visit ownership has changed and so has a honest business! Either way this business has lost a customer, I will not be returning here no time soon!!!...

We were told we needed to replace the king pins before the alignment could be done. After a dozen calls looking for a business that could do the work, we were finally referred to Spring Menders, who said they could do the job. It was well worth the two-hour drive to their shop in Norfolk to have James tell us the king pin problem did not exist but one wheel bearing reservoir was dry and needed to be replaced. The other needed fluid. He explained the issue thoroughly, even showed me all the parts involved. The work was completed by early the next morning at a fair price. He referred us to a tire dealer who installed the new tires at Spring Menders' shop, and we were safely on our way. We are thankful we were referred to an honest guy who clearly knows his business.

I took my car to this shop after some locals recommended it to me. My engine was making interesting…read morenoises and was losing coolant and I wanted them to try to figure it out. They told me what they thought the issue was and that I shouldn't drive the vehicle. They told me that if I had the work done with them they would waive the diagnostic fee. They quoted me a price for the rebuild and told me 3 weeks. After receiving the parts, it took them 7 weeks and 2 days to get the car back to me. During this time, they decided to not waive the diagnosis fees and added extra fees without discussing them with me. I had to call them every week to get an update and they never updated the timeline. For reference during this time, my other vehicle had $10k worth of body damage repaired from a drunk driver hit and run in 3 weeks and they called me every week during the repair to let me know how things were going. After receiving the car, it sounded worse than before. They stated that my timing chain tensioner needed to be replaced (this was replaced 4000 miles ago) and that my vacuum reservoir was cracked. The vacuum reservoir was in fact fine, they had connected my vacuum hosing to a check valve backward. The "timing chain noise" was in fact an improperly torqued bolt from their engine rebuild. I called to request a partial refund due to improper work, as I had to pay another shop to figure out the improperly torqued bolt. They offered me a small partial refund and said that they would mail me a check. Well, it has been almost 6 weeks now and I have not received a check. It's very frustrating to pay over $2k for an engine rebuild minus parts and get this kind of service. I don't believe I would ever take my vehicle back to this ship which sadly renders the "warranty" they offer useless. Overall terrible experience.
