Greatest Family Adventure! We came up to the area to honor…read moreand celebrate a family member's life. In the process, our family decided to try out the Bear Mountain Ziplines. This became the highlight of our trip. The staff made everyone feel safe with their great instruction, professionalism, and patience with us first-timers. We soared over the tree tops, screaming, cheering and laughing all the way through. The views were incredible, and the course was well maintained. We all loved it. It was the perfect mix of adrenaline and family bonding. I would love to give this 100 stars and highly recommend it to anyone who is in the area, or even to make the trek just to come here, you will not be disappointed.

The views were amazing, and the personal attention really set this apart. My husband and I came to Luray for a quiet weekend away. Katie and Jacob were our treetop guides. To say they were the best would be an understatement. Both of them were well versed in zip lining and made the experience so much fun. It was hard to be uncomfortable for long with them at the helm. Almost polar opposites - Katie was a burst of energy with an infection personality and Jacob was laid back, calming presence with an unexpected jokes that would catch you off guard. The pair made the zip lining experience that much more memorable. Highly recommended if you want a little thrill in the Luray area. If you are going in the summer, I would definitely take the earlier time slots - it gets hot up there.

They have a shorter/easier course for the little ones who aren't tall enough to go up to the two higher courses. My 8 year old really enjoyed the challenge of the course. Some paths were easier than others and took some time to go through. We had 12 kids in our group and there was plenty of room for all of them to be on the course at the same time. The instructors that hooked them up with the harnesses was very kind and patient with all the kids. The weather was beautiful this day and so they really took their time on the ropes. I would imagine this might be rough to do in the summer heat though.

He came to the exit and the operator disconnected him before his parent could explain that he couldn't get back on. When the mother asked for an exception due to the language barrier, she was told that if he's going to be in America then he need to speak English. He then left his post to confront another guest who was nearby that told him his behavior was very rude. She told him to get out of her face and to walk away and he refused. Meanwhile, there are multiple people waiting to exit the course because he was too preoccupied trying to intimidate a woman. I've never seen an employee represent a tourist attraction so poorly. My family and I won't be coming back nor will I encourage any of my friends to go. But if you're looking for something new with a side of sexism and racism, have at it.

This place is great, we called last minute and the staff (Mark especially) was kind enough to…read moresqueeze the 2 of us in for a zip lining (p.s. when I say kind enough, I mean incredible!! The staff had a lot going on guiding and checking in groups to their resort and getting ready for their Oktoberfest party they were hosting, they absolutely had all justification to turn us away but they didn't! They gave us a time frame to show up and they totally delivered and that's what earned them 5 stars). They were already guiding a group through so we just tagged along at the back end. The whole experience is pretty entertaining, they had the group working together (some were helping catch the person zipping, some helping un-harness, some helping move a platform used to get folks off the line), it was a pretty clever system and it helped move things along quickly and keep people involved. Anyways, my husband and I were debating all week wondering if it would be worth it ($25 for one ride) and the answer is... YES! 900 feet long, you end up going about 45 mph, and it's not a gradual 45. Once you step off the platform you drop pretty quick! People weighing 60-250lbs can ride and the guides are great about safety but flexibility. It doesn't take an incredibly long time (we got done in an hour and only because we waited for the group to finish) but it may be different for others. Overall, I was so happy we went and that the staff let us come. The staff was awesome, the line was fun, the pricing fair.

The equipment provided was in excellent condition and we easily established a team spirit among the zip liners. If you are up for the experience, be fit enough to hike up to the top of the platform while carrying your substantial harness that weighs about 10 pounds (at least that's what it felt like). There are also many other activities available beyond hiking. I highly recommend this facility and am anxious to return for another zip line adventure!
