They don't treat women for ureaplasma, but will charge for an appt about it. They are bad at communicating and deceptive

The facility itself was nice, the people that check you in were very nice. I did have to wait a while to be seen. The nurse was very nice and cute. My doctor Abigail A. Amuquandoh was the worst of my visit. Waited so long to finally see her, she was a bit rude and I didn't even get the chance to fully explain my symptoms before she prescribed me a medicine and said there was nothing she could do for me and walked out. If I have to return because she didn't listen to me then I will be very upset, don't waste your time with her. read more

I have needed a simple tele medicine visit for 2 weeks now. I waited 23 minutes past my appointment on the Zoom call and nothing. It took me 15 minutes to speak with someone to reschedule and figure out why my appointment did not happen. The soonest they could manage was a week later. Today my televisit call is yet again 25 minutes late with no explanation or notice. I have been on hold for an extended time to see what the issue is with this location or schedule. I would not recommend them at all. If you need timely service or the basic courtesy of them completing tele calls then this is the last place you should go! read more

Abysmal. Scheduled an appointment for a consult for a vasectomy. They required an initial visit before scheduling. After waiting an hour past my appointment in a packed waiting room, I had my blood pressure taken and waited in an exam room for another ten minutes or so. The nurse came in, gave me a 3 page FAQ print out about vasectomies, and told me to wait for the doctor. The doctor came in, said what amounted to "you understand vasectomies are permanent" and "are you sure you want a vasectomy" over 2 minutes of idle chit chat. Had me drop my pants, have each testicles a cursory squeeze, literally said "yup, right where they're supposed to be" and that was it. I then was moved to another office to talk to a billing rep, who didn't give me even a ballpark figure for out of pocket costs and told me they would call me with my estimate. A day later I received a call quoting me at over $1500 out of pocket after my insurance kicked in for the procedure. I was given a bevy of reasons why they were so expensive. I told them I'd be looking elsewhere. I received a bill amounting to well over $200 for the visit, which again amounted to a printout, validating my testicles existed and taking my billing information. They've been giving me "courtesy calls" to "make sure I received my bill." I ended up getting my vasectomy done at a center in North Carolina for less than half the cost, in a single visit, with no insurance coverage. Look elsewhere, if they're this crappy with a simple outpatient procedure I hate to think what they'd be like if I had genuine health issues. read more

I really like my doctor at this practice. Seen him for years and he is great. The administration of this place is another story. They let you request an appt online. Never receive a response. Try to call, you're on hold for 10+ minutes. Sometimes I think they pick it up and just put it back on hold. This has only gotten worse lately. I have given up at times trying to schedule an appointment. read more

The first time I came in for a consultation, Dr. Nelson prescribed me a medication that has dangerous interaction with a med I already take, despite my having listed my current meds. I caught it in time and informed the office manager, who apologized, but Dr. Nelson never contacted me to discuss it. On my second visit, I waited over an hour to be seen and ended up walking out to go back to work. I am not impressed. I won't trust my medical care to such an operation. read more

This is my preferred location for Virginia Urology. The doctors and nurses here and at the surgery center are just wonderful. I have never had a bad experience with anybody here, from reception, doctors, surgeons, nurses, recovery. read more

Went in today for pain from a urinary tract infection and paid $150 up front. Waited all day to pick up my prescription and finally called the pharmacy and the office never called it in!!! So now I am not only in pain but am out at least $150.00!!!! read more
