I had a very poor experience with Virlar Automotive Group in Laredo. The pricing was changed multiple times without explanation--first quoted at $130, then increased to $420 the same day. When I asked for a breakdown of the charges and clarified that I only wanted one part instead of two, they refused to explain the pricing or provide details. When my father went to pay, he was not given a receipt and was told they "Don't provide receipts," which is very concerning. The vehicle was dropped off at 9:37 a.m., and by 2:43 p.m. we still had no update. Despite being told I would receive a call back and that I could check in at 2:30, no one ever contacted me. When I called to simply ask whether the car would be worked on--since I was going out of town--the staff member I spoke with was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, Condescending stating she didn't care about the situation and telling me to just come pick up the car. The manager also provided inconsistent information, including giving his name incorrectly more than once. Her behavior took me out of character; it made me ill to the point of shaking. Overall, the lack of transparency, refusal to explain charges, no receipt provided, poor communication, and rude behavior from both management and staff made this a very stressful experience. Customer service was completely lacking, and I would not recommend this business based on how this situation was handled. They do not deserve 1 star. read more

Worst experience ever. Took two months to finally get our vehicle back. We dropped it off on June 11th and received it back today only after we had to call the police yesterday after going and asking to let us pay and take it as is. They finally released it to us today with subpar workmanship. It is beyond me how this place is still in business. Shame on us for not having read the numerous negative reviews for thus place. I called Thursday they said it will be done by 6 then. They had an attitude when I called! No one called me on Thursday saying it's done. I called Friday and a woman told me that my window was barely getting in and that no one told me it would be done by today. The lady had an attitude and told me all sales were final. This place is extremely disoriented!!! The receptionist is friendly yet they take forever to attend you. They do have cheap prices for the items yet you'll regret it if you ever have an exchange or return. I waited in line for about 23 minutes for the cashier to tell me the guy who rents the Penske trucks is not here for me to do the booking online. I stepped outside to do the reservation, walked back inside with the reservation number; cashier then tells me to take a seat and they'll be right with me. We had called beforehand to inquire to see if they had a particular windshield we were looking for. Over the phone, we were quoted a price and told they had one in stock. The price quoted was under our insurance deductible so we decided to go. However, once there, the place was swarmed with other customers waiting and, once we got to the counter, the clerk took our vin number and asked us to wait, only to call us back to let us know they did not have it in stock and the price quoted was much higher. Needless to say we ended up driving away after having gotten there in separate vehicles, thinking we were going to drop it off. They did not get it right this time but on previous occasions they have actually done a good job. read more

If it could give it 0 stars I would. Came in to get windshield replaced. I was the first one here and came in as soon as they opened. The cashier told me it would be done before lunch time. I didn't receive a phone call so I decided to call them. The lady on the phone told me the windshield repair would be done by 2:30pm. I came in at 2:30 and the lady goes on to say that it will take another 25-30 minutes. Her excuse was that there was a lot of cars ahead and that they got busy. This place is absolutely horrible! I took my vehicle in for a windshield and side window installation. I paid $400 plus for both these repairs combined and my windshield cracked in less than 24 hours. They have no warranty or guarantee for any of their work. When you try to explain to them that it's obvious that it was a bad installation job, they don't care and fall back on the fact that you signed a waiver. Another problem I had with them was the time frame they give you, what was supposed to be a couple of hours or a days work ended up being 2 days. read more

Although it took some time to get done, I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the work itself; very worth the wait (which wasn't even that long!) They sold me a mirror for my Dodge truck and it fell into two pieces with in a few days of installation. When I went back to try and exchange it they wouldn't make good on it. I had a horrible experience! I took my truck for a repair that the manager said was going to take a day for it to get fixed. The following day he was trying to turn my truck into me with a horrible paint job and the fender unaligned correctly. TRASH BUSINESS!!!! Called before I went, that should have been a red flag to me: these people can't handle phone calls in English or who to transfer them to. I hung up and drove the few miles there in a truck that needed the driver's side window to be re-set on its tracks. No lie or exaggeration, I waited 4.5 hours for them to get it done. After 3.5 hours of waiting, I approached the counter and was rudely dismissed by a gal working there. She said they were going to refuse to handle my truck because I mentioned it was older and to please use caution when taking off the door panel. She said I was giving her problems so too bad I waited that long, they were not going to work on it. Minimum wage queen can't be bothered to do her job or provide good customer service. I told her I wasn't leaving, that I'd waited this long and they were going to finish the job. To be fair, I was told it would be done by a certain time- it was not. To add insult, they locked the business's main doors, so for the last hour and something I had to wait outside on the street. I don't think they value their customers whatsoever. I had a windshield installed in my vehicle two weeks ago. The seal on it was not done right, you can hear air coming in the vehicle by the windshield. A friend took my vehicle back today and dropped it off at 9:00 am at 4:30 the vehicle had not been fixed. I called to speak to a supervisor/manager and I was put on hold for 11 minutes for the first phone call. I called three more times and was put on hold. Virlar Automotive Group LTD is the worst business I have ever received service from. I went to Virlar business looking to get my windshield replaced. I contacted business through phone and in-person and both times I was guaranteed getting original windshield for my 2016 Jeep Renegade vehicle. Below is a list of the things wrong with this business and why I would recommend everyone to avoid this business at all costs. 1. Windshield was not original part as promoted or promised after completion of service 2 Time-frame provided for the service is also a big lie. In my situation, I was informed that service will take 45 minutes to an hour when nobody was ahead of me. Total service time was 3 hours. 3. After "service" was completed, I inspected my vehicle only to find out the WORST type of service for windshield replacement ever done and damage to my vehicle. 4. Here's is a list of the damages to my vehicle: exterior paint scratches, broken exterior black panel top, cracked replacement windshield on multiple areas, damaged interior rear view mirror base, stained roof fabric, water leak due to incorrect windshield sealant and time loss. 5. Last, terrible customer service from business employees: sarcastic comments, insulting/rude attitude, lack of ownership to their mistakes and zero-effort to help a consumer. In conclusion, I have over 20 years of customer service and never in my life have I ever experienced the worst level of service towards a buying customer. Virlar is a business that I would never recommend to anyone no matter what. Staff focus is to sell "cheap" products, provide terrible customer service and ripoff customers on a daily basis. My wife recently visited Virlar to have a window replaced in our truck. Upon arriving she noticed that all of the signs and instructions in the place were in Spanish and not in English. It took the people at least ten minutes to even acknowledge that she was there. There was no line, and people who came in after her were being helped first. She finally had to tell the person behind the counter that she was next. When she was finally helped the person behind the counter was very rude to her, asking her what she wanted. read more
