Dr. Ronald Spiaggia is a rare find. PRRM occupies a special place in my heart…read more I am a person who makes decisions with gut, rather than logic. Right at the first visit, I was certain that Dr. Spiaggia is trustworthy and that I am in safe hands. When all other doctors disregarded an MRI, he was the first person to prescribe it and then provided a bang on target, spot-on review of my condition. This man has his profession inside his blood cells, what a knowledgeable professional he is! This was when I believed that someone actually understood my problem and also what to do to make it better. I suffered from disabling cluster headache on the left side and wasted a year meeting neurologists. They are so pathetically incompetent and do not view the problem from a holistic perspective. They would only write medication after medication. Dr. Spiaggia's diagnosis that the pain was coming from the neck, totally changed the way I thought about the pain. After years of progressive degeneration of the neck resulting from sitting in front of the screen, I came to a conclusion that I had cervicogenic pain. The exercises recommended by the physical therapists helped to drastically bring down the duration of my cluster headache. The PT aides repeatedly ensured that my exercise form was correct and that all the exercises were completed by me. Thanks to Dr. Kevin Tabije for performing the trigger point injections. Their Chiropractic was below expectations and it could have been more efficient. Yet, it can be overlooked for the other things. I never missed a single appointment in my 6 weeks of therapy, after which I had to go back to California. Thank you so much for playing a big part in my healing journey, PRRM.

Our daughter was getting married in 4 days and he was concerned he couldn't walk her down the aisle or enjoy the wedding. Dr Abrutyn put him on steroids for a short time, this was a God send, by day 2 of being on the medication, he was his old self once again. We returned to Dr Abrutyn as that was a short time relief. Dr Abrutyn referred him to physical therapy and ultimately had shoulder surgery. His surgery was successful, no pain at all during his recuperating period. He continued with physical therapy and Dr Abrutyn has discharged him as his arm is back to normal. We couldn't be more thankful for Dr Abrutyn's care. Thank you!

Got Cadillac care at those visits and eventially ended up having a knee arthroscopy done. Fast forward to a more recent time - He entered the room with a bunch of residents - rudely asked me why I was on Medicare and made me feel quite small and inadequate. His treatment for my knee also followed the payment path - instead of getting viscosupplementation - I got a cortisone shot and was told to see how it felt after a few days. The injection I got did not help - and I would not go to a physician that treated me based on my insurance coverage. He is arrogant and has a nasty attitude if he thinks you are not worth his time. It was very very disappointing considering I was a patient there before my insurance changed. I would not recommend him to anyone. Veterinarians treat my dogs better than he treated me that day.

At that point, I should have looked elsewhere but I really wanted to get my shoulder looked it and this office is close by. On the day of the appointment - my appointment was at 11:30 am but I didn't see the doctor until an hour later. They sat me an exam room. I poked my head out to find out what the delay was and saw The doctor, Dr. Malberg, making copies. He's not that great. He prescribed painkiller and said to come back in 2 weeks. Unfortunately I got busy and forgot the appointment and they sent no reminder before the appointment date. The day after, I got a call from the rude Assistant informing me I missed my appointment and they were billing my card as a no show - which they did. Somewhere in the papers I signed they claim I agreed to them charging my card. I am disputing the charge! I will never go there again.

They have many therapists so your experience will depend mainly on who you get. You may hit the jackpot, or bankrupt. A lot of equipment but a lot of it is for strengthening Rutgers athletes who are young and bounce back quickly. They seem best at strengthening, not so super at correcting specific problems. Maybe I had bad luck recently but I was rather disappointed with how my experience went. Overall a bit too "mass production" for me as a patient. I would say that if you feel your condition isn't improving, go ahead and make a change to another therapist or facility. You need to make yourself priority #1, #2, #3 and every number thereafter. I also note that while this place is, again, not outright fraudulent like some places, they charge a LOT. They tend to pad the bill with things like heat and ice and non-therapist supervised exercises in order to max the insurance payments. If you don't pay anything that's your business, but if you care about the principle or pay a portion of your bill, realize that the bill here is going to be quite a lot... like several TIMES what other places charge for equal or better treatment. I also agree with the reviewer who said you may have to deal with somewhat abrasive people at the front. Billing is also CHAOTIC. In that respect you are in the end dealing with a huge hospital business (Saint Peters) rather than a small physical therapy outfit.
