[[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean restaurant with great service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizza was doughy and greasy, heavy on the top but also the flavor. I prefer a thinner slice with more structure so this would not be my top choice in Omaha.

Amazing pizza! Grabbed a quick lunch with some friends. Service was good and the workers are super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a smaller space so there are just a few booths and tables inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got a slice of the pepperoni with the side salad. The side salad wasn't my favorite because of the sweet taste to it. My friend liked it though. The pizza was VERY good. Slices are big but thin crust so ends up being the perfect size in my opinion. Will be back to try more!

Another great experience at Virtuoso. Ordered it to pick up and it was done when they said it would be. Nice to be able to use the quick parking spot in front of the Benson Theater to pick up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the vibe in the shop people were just happy to be there both staff and patrons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything was as ordered and checkout process went smooth. Definitely will be back.

Love the pizza, but this time went for the seasonal clam chowder and a dipped Italian beef.. both excellent. Topped it all off with a very good tiramisu.

Another wonderful pizza! Continues to be , in my mind , one of the best pizzas in Omaha for New York style pizza lovers. Great crust, great sauce, and add some of their homemade sausage and you've got the makings of winner. Greatness takes time so plan on waiting at least 30 minutes for pizza or call ahead. Home made cannolis, etc. and we were offered a special treat today to taste their New England clam chowder - Ended up taking some home - yum!! Always a great stop for a super casual meal with many special to go options

Omaha classic for a reason. They do everything amazing. Great crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings. Stone oven baked. Great for one slice or a whole pie. Don't worry, one slice is huge!! Love the thinness of the slices and how it doesn't get soggy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Relaxed setting with a small amount of seating, but we still found room for a table of 4.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Don't forget to try the Italian margarita in a bag, strong and good! I also liked that you pay at the counter when you order

Cool, family owned pizza place. Counter service was friendly and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small but nicely organized dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pizza was amazing - the crust is flavorful and the perfect mix of crunchy exterior while maintaining a chewy interior. Italian sausage and roasted garlic were both delicious-very flavorful.

    Small house salad

Came here with my husband while we were in town based on a recommendation. The pizza was fantastic, and the slices were huge! I got a cheese slice along with a small house salad, and my husband got 2 slices of the pepperoni. The pizza was perfectly cooked, and the ingredients tasted so fresh. The consistency was not too soft, but not too crunchy. Just the way I like it! The salad has a house made balsamic dressing made in house that was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself was very clean and cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had a Ninja Turtles machine I wish I had the cash to play ! Very great service as well. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Omaha.

Authentic thin crust pizza with the right balance of sauce and cheese. Coming from New York, pizza must be foldable to eat and this was just that! This pic does not do the slice justice cause it was big!

Cheesy Bread with an added side of Marinara

This New York style pizza hits the spot. Giant slices that are light on the cheese but heavy on flavor. They have a few pizzas you can buy by the slice otherwise everything else is in full pies only. They also have a few pastas and a rotating soup. They sell bottles beverages and have a water station. The cheesy bread gives elevated school lunch vibes (in the best way). The bread was similar to a hotdog bun. SO much cheese that got crispy on the edges. Would definitely reco getting a side of Marinara. The Cannoli is 2 little pieces which is perfect for sharing and a great small size after all that pizza. Check out the walk up window for a grab and go slice! They make their Italian sausage in house so give that a try. Parking is a nightmare in Benson so go early. There was a sign that they had parking in the back but I did not check that out.

Virtuoso Pizzeria is a little gem right in our Benson neighborhood. The owner, David Losole, is a certified Pizzaiolo, from the famed Lo Sole Mio restaurant family in Omaha - and the generations of love put Into the food definitely shows. Virtuoso opened a few years back, and we ventured there as soon as they were open (and have been back many times). You can't go wrong with anything you order! The ambiance and service is also a 10/10. Classic pizza shop vibes with a front counter display showing the pizzas on order that day. We usually order pizza (obviously), but my husband also likes to get the Chicago Italian Beef sandwich. It's toasty buns, filled with a ton of Italian beef and giardiniera (pickled peppers). You can get it dipped in au jus or with the au jus on the side - we always get it dipped! The pizza slices are never too greasy and soggy, like some places can be, and the slices are GIGANTIC - almost a fourth of a whole pie. You can eat the slices flat, but it's a little messy that way, so I fold mine in half which makes it a little more manageable. Folding pizza slices in half usually makes the dry crust the first thing you taste, but that is fine here because Virtuoso's crust is actually toasted and tasty! Pizza-wise, we usually get the pepperoni, cheese, or meatball. The pepperoni has a little kick to it, which I enjoy. The cheese is just super cheesy and divine. And the meatball is delish and savory, with almost an airy/flowery flavor that I think comes from the Italian spices. SO GOOD! After your pizza or sandwich, they also have some delectable cannolis - I recommend the Chocolate Nutella! They also have a little walk up window if you want to come to the window and just order a quick slice while walking around the Benson neighborhood. If you are in Benson or passing by, I definitely recommend a stop here if you're craving a good pizza or sandwich!

I joined my friend and his family for dinner here last month and it was pretty dang good. You walk in and all of the employees seemed really happy to be there and were very welcoming; which made a huge difference on our experience. I got the Jimbo Italian Hot Beef sandwich and it was kind of small, but pretty good. I also got a cup of clam chowder which was good as well, but IMO not worth the $9 for the little cup of soup. My friend and his family split a pizza and the pizza was pretty good as well. We all got a couple orders of their cannoli's and they were just okay. You get two really small cannoli's for $8. When in Rome, but those little guys weren't worth $4 a piece to me. I've heard about this place for a while and the food was really good. I just wish the prices reflected the quantity just a tad bit more. With that said, I would come back and try something else.

Don't ask me how to pronounce it. No one seems to know…read more There is something about Spezia that is so welcoming. No wonder it's always packed. Friendly service, comfy setting, and oh yeah - the food! Unfortunately for me, there is too much seafood on the menu but there's always something. People rave about the seafood dishes so I'll trust them and say it must be good. I'm just not into it. On this visit, we each ordered a cocktail. I decided to try the lemon martini which I never order and OH MY GOODNESS. It was awesome! They nailed it. The limoncello brought it home. My dining partner had a dirty martini and was satisfied as well. We enjoyed a Spezia salad which featured mixed greens, prosciutto, tomato, Kalamata olives, and a house vinaigrette. It all combined so well. The lettuce was wonderfully fresh, no need to pick out rotting leaves like some places. The dressing was simply light and delish. We shared a plate of spaghetti. You get several options to add to it. The grilled spicy Italian sausage sounded good. I'm not sure which was better. The sausage or the marinara sauce. Both were soooooo good!! The sausage was truly grilled and spicy and just amazing, and it was not greasy either. The marinara sauce challenged my own that I make at home. We devoured that plate of spaghetti which was big enough to share. I forgot to take a picture as it was served so I am sharing a tight shot of half the order after we divided it.

Spezia, you let me down!…read more Our waiter struggled to keep up with the dinner rush. We arrived for our reservation and were seated at 6:40 where we weren't greeted by our waiter for quite awhile. It took a long time to get our drinks and I had to ask for bread so we decided to skip appetizers and go straight to our entree. When ordering the entree our waiter said "and which salad would you like?" And then listed the salad options. Normally when ordering a main and the waiter says which salad do you want that's because the salad comes with the meal. Nope. We were charged $11 per salad that we didn't even really want. The salads were your average side salad, but thankfully had good dressings. We hadn't brought up salads, the waiter did when we ordered our entree. So we were disappointed to have $20+ in salads that we didn't request until the waiter offered them. Our salads were finished for at least 15 minutes before our main entree came out at about 7:30, nearly an hour after we had been seated. My shrimp scampi was good, the broccolini was a touch under cooked but the flavors were still good, and the shrimp was surprisingly large in size and cooked exactly how it should be. Had we been served quicker and not offered things that didn't come with our meal when ordering our meal we may have been happier, hard to say. The table next to us was sat about 10 minute after us and had a different waitress. They received their entire meal (including bread & apps) and left before we were offered dessert. The food is good, I won't discredit that at all. But when coming to a restaurant like this you are expecting a level of service that we just didn't get. I'm sure we'll try again in the future and if service is better I will definitely update my review but for now, this was a let down of a birthday dinner.

For the main course, I had the penne bolognese fiorna, and it was flawless (rich, fresh, and a generous portion). My better half went for the Big Vinny Combo (chicken parmigiana, fettuccine Alfredo, baked lasagna). Everything hit except the Alfredo needing a touch more salt... though she definitely didn't need any help enjoying those glasses of wine. We started off with happy hour drinks and calamari. The lemonchello and Negroni are strong!!! You've been warned! The calamari was surprisingly delicious.
