I love her. She's been doing my daughter's private school uniform alterations for years.

Needed several dresses / blouses shoulders tightened. The orange dress in the photo also needed armpits tightened. The armpits were never finished and the odd seam wasn't fixed .. safety pins still there. The right shoulder seam ended up in front and the other seam in a different spot. When I tried it on she said, oh that's bad I will fix that. 6 weeks later and multiple calls and trips to her store, I gave up. The blue Ann Taylor blouse now has both seams in the front. It looks stupid on. When I asked her to fix it, she said I brought it to her that way and refused to correct her mistake. The receipt clearly shows that I had several shoulders altered. I had to call and call and she would say she would get to it. I'd show up and the work wouldn't be done. I dropped my stuff off in mid July. Some of the garments were completed and picked up on 8/9/19. The rest were never finished. I'm completely shocked by the good reviews. The reviews are why I went to her. Her work quality is hugely random. Some good, some terrible. My advice, find a different tailor. read more

I took 2 swimsuits to be altered on a Friday morning, we discussed planned alteration. I was to pick up in 1 week, arrived and they had not been done. She asked me to come next day Saturday, Vi had a swimsuit inside out on her sewing machine not done. Asked me to come back Tuesday. On Tuesday she said she had the suit done, I asked both? She said no there was only one and she showed me the swimsuit - it was NOT mine. My 2 suits were on her mend pile. She told me to come back Wednesday, I called first and she said she was working on them to come next day. I went back today Friday (2 weeks after first drop off) and they still were not even started. I took suits from her and left the store. Totally unreliable and does not keep her word or do the work promised. read more

Quality tailoring for a really cheap price. I'd only recommend this as a tailor if you don't have a strict timeline as things aren't normally ready on time and the shop is unorganized. read more

NO STARS- Dropped a swim suit bottom and a dress off for a very simple repair on 2-6-19. She said it would be ready on 2-12-19. Showed up on 2-12-19. It was not ready. She said come back tomorrow. Came back on 2-13-19, still not ready. She said tomorrow. Came back on 2-14-19. STILL not ready. Called on 2-16-19 and left a voicemail. No return call. Called on 2-19-19. She said it was still not ready. Called 2-20-19. Mail box is full. Not impressed at all. I am hopeful to pick up today (2-20-19) and take elsewhere. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This place has the absolute worst customer service! I brought in a dress for my wedding rehearsal a week ago and the lady told me she would have it done by today at 9:30am. I get there shortly after 9:30am and she couldn't find my dress. After 10 minutes of looking she finally finds it on the back of the rack UNTOUCHED. She said "sorry, give me 30 minutes." I didn't want her to rush so I came back around 1pm to it looking like this. I confronted her about the top being uneven and she said " oh, no... i'm sorry." She offered to fix it and bring it to my house tonight and I turned that offer down because her business has already been extremely unprofessional and I don't have time for her nonsense anymore(I need the dress tomorrow). I ended up getting a refund and took my business elsewhere. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone! This place is a joke. read more

I took my Coach purse to this store on August 20th. I needed a zipper repaired/replaced. Vi said to give her ten days. I went back ten days later and it wasn't ready. I called or went into the store at least five more times. Each time she claimed that she couldn't get the right color of zipper, etc. I went into the store on September 24, 2015. I told Vi that I needed the purse for the weekend. She told me it would be ready on September 26. I went back and found the the zipper has not been fixed yet. Instead of calling me with updates, she always waited for me to call or go to the store to find out where she was in the process of the repair. I cannot comment on her work because she never did any work. read more

Very very unhappy! I took three pairs of pants in for hemming. Vi promised they would be ready on Friday and promised to stay open until I arrive due to traveling time from work. This was my outfit to the wedding and leaving in the morning. I rushed over to find her shop closed early for the Holiday Weekend. Vi never called or gave me any indication she would be closing early. Therefore, I had no outfit for the wedding. I returned a week later to pick up my pants. Vi had trouble locating them. I pointed them out to her. All three pairs were sloppily draped over one hanger and were not pressed. As I was paying I asked why the pins were still on the pants. She NEVER hemmed them and didn't even realize it as I was checking out. I came back a week and a half later to find them still draped over one hanger and not pressed...but were finally hemmed. Don't ever take anything here. I dropped my item off mid August. She told me to come back the week of September 10th... I came back at the end of the week and she ran around the store looking for it. Then she said she took it home. Then I came back a week later even though she said Monday and THEN she tells me it must be in storage because she is moving. She said she wasn't going in storage for at least a month. She gave me the money for the item but what if my item was irreplaceable. This item was my daughters and when Vi first saw it I thought it was suspicious how she was looking at it. I honestly believe she kept it for personal reasons. read more

Very unhappy!! Daughter brought a dress to Vi to be hemmed. She tried it on and Vi pinned it to the appropriate length. We picked up the "finished"dress and the back was 2 inches shorter than the front and there is no way to fix it. Supposed to be a floorlength dress, but you can see her ankles. Her dress is ruined! Awful, awful customer service: My husband and I arrived early on Saturday and asked that three dress pants have their hemline raised by Sunday noon at the latest. I found out at the last minute that I had a weeklong conference to attend that required travel later on Sunday afternoon and needed the pants to meet the professional dress requirements. We were told that there would be someone in the store on Sunday even though their website lists they are closed on that day, and all we had to do was knock on their front door. We were assured and reassured the pants might even be done by Saturday night and would receive a phone call if this was the case. WE even PAID EXTRA for the rushed order. On Sunday, we called at 11am to give them a heads up that we were coming to pick up the pants as arranged and paid for, but no one answered. We left a polite message with our information. We showed up at noon, called, left more messages, and knocked on both the front and back doors SEVERAL times, WAITED FOR A FULL 30 MINUTES. No one answered. I had to run to the mall to buy yet other pairs of pants, which any woman knows is a great hassle, especially having to do so when rushed. When my husband called on Monday and inquired about the order, he was spoken to in an EXTREMELY RUDE matter and told that there was someone there. The woman (I refrain from using "lady") implied that he was lying about showing up and leaving messages. When he showed up to pick up the pants, he was "greeted" with remarks regarding our "UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS" for the pants to be done that quickly, and how "there was someone there the whole time." He was DENIED THE REFUND he asked for; he didn't even ask for a full refund, just one for the extra rushed fee. NO ONE OFFERED ANY EXPLANATIONS or apologized for LYING and NOT DELIVERING the goods and services AS PROMISED. My husband had to travel by car to bring me the pants, one of which was dirty btw, so he had to wash it, etc. which further delayed his travel time. My apologies about the long story, but I felt it important to show just how this business LIED to us regarding the terms of service, DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE, implied we were the ones lying, were RUDE when asked about why they DIDN'T FULFILL THEIR TERMS OF SERVICE, and did not have the DECENCY TO OFFER A partial or full REFUND. We understand that this was a rushed order. We would have even forgiven the great inconveniences --time wise and financial-- that this situation brought us had we at the very least been offered an honest apology and been shown an effort to make things right. But this did not happen and this was ALL HANDLED POORLY AND UNPROFESSIONALLY. What a disappointment, especially when we went out of our way to support a locally owned business. read more

I dropped off a very expensive bag that needed the zipper repaired on 2/3 and was told it would be ready on 2/13. My boyfriend showed up to pick up the bag on 2/21 and it was not ready. Vi said she forgot about it and he had to help her find the bag. She told him it would be ready on Friday, 2/23. I get a call on Saturday, 2/24 from Vi telling me she can't find the same color zipper that was on the bag (if we would've showed up to pick up bag on Friday it again wouldn't have been ready). We discussed alternate zipper color options and she told me it would be ready Monday, 2/26. I decided to call first before going in and guess what the bag was still not ready and she could not tell me when it would be ready. After paying a 25.00 deposit to get the bag repaired whenI dropped it off I told her I was coming to pick up the bag. She had the bag for 3 weeks and it had not been repaired. She's a very sweet lady but if you want your alterations on time I would not trust her timeline. I will never use her services again. Terrible customer service. read more

FIND ANOTHER SEAMSTRESS. I went here because it was close to my work (but far from my home). I dropped off a shirt( with additional fabric) that I wanted to turn into a dress. She SAID it would be done on the August 10th. I said wow I didn't expect it that fast but great. In conversation I explained I needed it for a party on the 20th. When I looked at the ticket she gave me it said the 16th. I though no problem, the 16th is fine even if she said the 10th. I came in on the 19th and she did not remember me or the shirt/dress. Gave her the ticket and reminded her what we were to have done. She apologized and asked me to come back in Saturday. I explained that I lived far away and would not have time to pickup before my party. I took it in stride, told her not to worry and that I could find something else to wear. She said she'd have it done the following Tuesday the 23. I, not in a hurry to have it for a party anymore, went back in on a full week after that on another Friday the 26th. It was still not done and she again apologized for not having it done and she again asked me to come on a Saturday. I wasn't making a special trip to this area on my day off so I asked her to just leave it as a shirt and I would take it with me. She said she had STARTED it and needed to finish it. I couldn't wait as I was on my lunch break so I asked her to just LEAVE IT AS A SHIRT, remove any work she had (supposedly) done and I would pick it up the following week. I went back in on September 15th (again, not in a hurry for it any more as my party had passed) and she had turned it into a dress (that I was not happy with) but beside the point our last agreement was for it to be left as a shirt. She then wanted to charge me $22. I told her I wasn't paying that. It was a month late and our last conversation hat this being left as a shirt. She got huffy, told me to come back on the 21st and she would have it turned back into the original shirt. I give her 2 additional days...because I see a pattern in her timeline and go back in today to retrieve the SHIRT and SHE HAS NOT TOUCHED IT. IT IS STILL THE HIDEOUS DRESS. She realized she hadn't done anything to it. Threw it on the counter and told me to take it with me. If you have 3 months to wait on your item w/ zero accurate communication on what will be done to it and when it will be done then by all means drop your clothes off here. Otherwise I strongly recommend going somewhere else. PS. I usually don't take much stock in user reviews because, you know , it seems like only the complaining people have something to say. But this was just too much. I had to warn others. read more

This place was horrible! She promised to have items done by a certain date, but it always took several trips back because they were not ready. First item I took in was a pair of shoes to have the Velcro replaced. I paid $35.00 for this. When I wore them the first time they would not stay fastened. Took them back with some dresses to be hemmed. She charged me another $4.00 to do the shoes plus $109.00 for the dresses and told me they would be done on 06/22/17. On 06/23/17 I went back to pick them up and they had not been touched. I explained I needed them the next day for my daughter's wedding. She told me everything would be ready on 06/24/17. Returning again the next day, the dresses were done the shoes were not! I took the dresses, left the shoes and told her I would be back on 07/07/17. My formal dragged all night and is now ruined. On 07/08/17, the shoes were not ready. Came back on 07/12/17 and they weren't ready. When I returned two hours later I took the shoes, but I still think all the Velcro was not replaced.
