My husband order a pair of RayBan glasses from Vision Clinic, which unfortunately caused a lot of discomfort. He returned to their office for adjustments, which did not help. He returned to Vision Clinic inquiring about options since the glasses were uncomfortable and their adjustments did not help. He selected a different pair of frames to "restyle" since Vision Clinic Staff were unable to resolve the issue via adjustments. The new frames were cheaper, so we anticipated a refund in the difference in frame price... The optician adjustment the glasses and assisting with the "restyle" stated that refunds are not given but she would ask. While adjusting the glasses, the optician broke the glasses. She stated they would refund the difference in cost, in light of the glasses breaking. The optician placed an order for new glasses (with a different frame). We were initially pleased with the outcome that staff worked with us to resolve the issue and would refund the difference in cost.... Until the next day, when the Vision Clinic called and stated they would not issue a refund. Even though their staff informed my husband they would process a refund. I spoke with the lead and supervisor. They stated they have a 90 day "restyle" guarantee but if the new glasses are cheaper - no refund is made. If you choose to return your glasses for a full refund, Vision Clinic charges the customer a 15% fee. In either scenario, the customer loses money - even though the Vision Clinic's staff was unable to adjust their product and sold a potentially faulty product (since it broke so easily during adjustments). At the time of initial purchase, no staff mentioned their supposed guarantee, restyle or refund process. Ultimately, they refused to refund the difference in cost, even though one of their staff informed us we would receive a refund. I would not recommend purchasing glasses through the Vision Clinic. read more

First of all, this office is beautiful! When I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly, courteous staff at the reception area. The ladies that completed the initial eye tests were also very friendly, professional and explained everything. (They have some amazing high-tech equipment which never caused me any discomfort.) After that, Dr. Lynn Herndon met me in the eye exam room and explained my test results; which included a picture of the inside of my eye! After discussing my general eye health, he tested my vision and determined that my prescription had changed significantly. (I knew that was probably the case.) Dr. Herndon was personable, professional and answered all my questions. Since I had broken my glasses, I needed a new pair. Dr. Herndon introduced me to one of the employees in the eyeglass area, and she did a great job of helping me. She didn't hesitate to give her expert opinion as to my selections and I ended up with a pair that was perfect for me; both in style and function. I really appreciated her help! Since I am from out-of-town, they mailed my glasses to me in about two weeks. They were perfect and I get tons of compliments on them. When my son started having problems seeing at school, we were referred through insurance to Vision Clinic. After researching the staff and doctors online, we chose Dr. Darren Plank due to his affiliations with the Lion's Club and Shriners. The level of patience and explanation was tremendous. We never felt like he was pressed for time or on a hurried schedule. He slowly and carefully explained TO MY SON exactly what his conditions were, what the solutions were, and handled each and every question from us slowly and distinctly. My son never felt he was being ignored or talked over, and made him feel very comfortable about the outcome of every test. My son talked in the lobby, in the car on the way home, about how he felt like Dr. Plank was actually listening to HIM instead of just talking to us. It was a great feeling. Out in the sales room for frames, I never felt a "hard sell" on any kind of frame, and the selection from low to high price ranges was tremendous. After spending upwards of 45 minutes while my son picked his own frames to HIS specifications (fit, weight, style, ego) with the staff, the insurance copay plus the frames were easy on the wallet. Not once did this feel like the 1hr mall experience. I am still shocked at how pleasant and informative everyone was. read more

I have been going to The Vision Clinic and Dr. Herndon for 3 years now and can say they are one of the best in the business. Their staff is always extremely friendly, facilities clean and inviting, and the care by Dr. Herndon is second to none. I wear both contacts and glasses which sometimes makes the appointments take longer to make sure both are correct but Dr. Herndon never makes me feel rushed or hurried like most other places do just to get to the next patient. Not only does he take the time and do it right but he was able to provide me multiple tips and facts about ways to decrease eye fatigue with looking at computer screens all day. The staff on the floor near the actual frames are AMAZING! Kelly helped me choose from 4 different pair of frames I liked and actually gave me great advice on which glasses looked best on me. I was told the glasses and contacts would take around 2 weeks to be delivered and within one week they were already there! I wouldn't go anywhere else for my vision care and recommend The Vision Clinic highly. read more

Have gone to Dr. Stephen Rice for many years and couldn't be more pleased with the service I receive from him. He is always very personable and, more importantly, very patient during the eye exam. This year I decided to give Progressive Lenses a try and everyone was extremely helpful during the transition period. I actually had to have a prescription adjustment and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. KD helped me find not one but two pair of frames that I absolutely love. From the moment I called to check if the vision clinic took my eye insurance to the moment I was telling the receptionist thank you and bye I was highly pleased and impressed with the quality of exceptional customer care in this clinic!! Yes I have gone to the cheaper place ( Walmart ) but you get what you pay for that's for sure and on all levels . My 4th grader son has been in thier glasses here since preschool age and never one time have they failed to quickly fix any problems for us even in emergency situations ( as in playground mishaps lol) I recommend The Vision Clinic To Everyone with eye care ! read more

I was very impressed by the Vision Clinic. The office is clean and new. The receptionist and nurse was very kind and friendly. Dr. Brad Lewis was so helpful with fitting my contacts. I was having a problem with dizziness when using my cheaters with my contacts. He explained that my eyes were very sensitive to the constance change and explained what he believed to be my best fit for my situation. Dr. Brad Lewis is very knowledgeable, kind and courteous. I had my first visit today. What a wonderful experience! Every person who assisted me was helpful and friendly. I was so impressed with the facility which was very nice. Each person was patient and friendly and answered all my questions. I have trouble making up my mind on frames and the young lady helping me was super! Dr. Plank in the Springfield, MO office helped my husband and I. For YEARS (since WalMart opened) I have used another eye care clinic (how stupid I feel....) After speaking to Dr. Plank about my eyes and the headaches I have been having for years....WalMart prescribed me bifocals. For the last 10 years I have had to take my glasses off to read or see anything up close. I was told I didn't really need bifocals (which means WalMart simply wanted to make a couple hundred $$ off of me each time I went in for glasses.) Thank you Dr. Plank! read more

My wife and I visited the downtown Vision Clinic last week and were truly impressed with the level of service we received. Dr. Scullawl (sp.?) was extremely helpful and thorough and took the time to treat us with the utmost care! We couldn't be happier with the service we received. The extensive selection of frames in the showroom and the helpful assistant out front kept me busy while my wife was fitted with contact lenses. We can't say enough about this doctor. From start to finish, this was a great visit. Less than 5 minutes wait time before I was taken back for my appointment. The tech was friendly and gave clear instructions through all of the tests. Dr. Brad made time to connect, then did a thorough eye exam. He answered all of my questions and went over the pros and cons on both types of lenses. My upper lid had been swollen for a while. The last couple weeks it began to hurt pretty bad. Vision center was referred to me by a friend. I called and was so surprised I was able to get an appointment that same day. Dr. Plank explained what was going on very well. He was kind and caring. I went in early to look around and got in almost immediately for my appointment. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I like that they don't shoot that puff of air in your eye like a lot of places. The lady helping me pick out frames was super honest which was great. Since I first called Vision Clinic, my experience has been courteous, convenient, and personable. All of the staff are very knowledgeable and professional with their work and service. I went in with glasses that I could no longer read with and made me dizzy when I walked. She took them from me and two minutes later brought back glasses that were perfect in every way.
