Went back to see Mr. G at Vision Driving School once again. Experience was even better than the first time. I had been really frustrated with the lack of appointments at any of the DOL's in Washington State and I was relieved how comparatively easy it was to schedule with the owner, Mr. Gezahegne, Mr. G was patient with me and made me feel very comfortable. I was surprised how much i learned from his feedback on my driving skills. Mr. Gezahegn was the best drive instructor I've ever had. I had professional lessons in the past, as well as friends and family attempt to teach me to drive. Was never able to get the hang of it or gain any confidence whatsoever I started taking his class at 26 years old. I was commuting by bus and tired of it. He is the reason I now drive confidently. I can't explain it other than he has the most soothing, even tempered personality and voice. He explains things in simple, yet effective language. Even when you do something wrong, he does not react in a way that makes you feel stupid or make you panic (for my fellow drivers with anxiety). Another great thing about him is that he taught me everything from the ground up as if I was a brand new 15 y/o driver (which I NEEDED.) Throughout my late teens and early 20s, friends/relatives trying to teach me would assume that because of my age, I knew how to do certain things already so those small but important details never came up...the thing is, I didn't know what I was missing. I knew very little about cars, their buttons/controls or any good driving techniques. He taught me everything I know and I am so grateful to have found him. He was proud of me at the end of my course. I passed on the first try. Very special instructor and perfect for less confident drivers who need that gentle, but firm instruction. my brother went here to take his driving test because the DOL was booked out until the 27th. The guy was very nice, patient and made sure to point out all the mistakes my brother made. It was $40 for the driving test which was definately on the cheaper side. He also said he would put in all the paperwork today so my brother can pick up his license. ****BE AWARE! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL*** I don't know where to start... I booked driving test with this school, I have more than 5 years of driving experience from overseas. I can't Imagine how that would be if you are a new driver. starting from the booking. we booked on September 9 for September 30th at 10 am. His system does not have half hour increments. He claimed that our appointment is 9:30 and I cannot have the driving exam this day. no respect what so ever for your time or schedule. the test: here is when the un-professionalism got its peak! I was given instructions to go straight unless the instructor direct you differently. the instructor was distracted by reading his notes as we are approaching green light about the cross the intersection at full speed. then he said "hey turn right here!" that would require changing lanes and crossing a pedestrian cross walk. it was extremely unsafe to do that. you can imagine how nervous someone can be when taking a driving test. I blindly followed his directions and was too scared not to follow it. I almost hit someone! He failed me and we did not complete the test. another test was booked; at the very beginning of the test I was approaching a 2 way stop sign. I did not cross it. as I am approaching the instructor told me to stop. he said that he was not supposed to give me directions and then he ended the test 5 min after it started. in conclusion: - if you care about your time. - if you care about your $$$ - if you care about your safety. I called this morning asking for availability for the drivers exam and he told me to come in at 5. He takes the COVID precautions seriously which was awesome. I passed the drivers test, which I took for a second time today (went somewhere else previously). The drive instructor was very kind to me and gave me great feedback at the end of the drive to help me improve my driving skills. I choose this place, because they were the only ones offering skill tests with reasonable appointments. I took the one hour warm up and then skill test immediately after. The warm up was absolutely necessary, got lot of useful tips and I wouldn't have been able to pass my skill test without it. Overall had a very pleasant experience. read more

So, I just took my 2nd skills test. Mr. Gezahegn was rude and condescending. When we finished he explained what I did wrong in hopes I pass the next one. He was straightforward, but later on, he started to make no sense. I ask him what do you want me to do? He was like... it's not what I want, It's what you think is safe. The first time I took it, I failed because of checking blind spots. The second time, I took matters at hand and try my best to check those blind spots. The results came and he said I didn't check my blinds spots... How does that work!!!!??? I was so careful and hope to impress him. It was soo stupid!!! I lost almost $140. Anyway, I don't recommend this driving school if you're only taking the test. When he was done, he left with anger and annoyance. The first time he was extremely kind and wanted to help me. As a second-time tester, normally you should be considerate. WELL, HE WASN'T!!! in conclusion: - he will in some way find points to deduct - he is not considerate despite taking the test the second time - WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY read more

While searching for a good driving school which provide driving lessons and road test, we across Vision Driving School. After going through the reviews we were convinced that Vision Driving School should be the right option. Mr.G and the other instructor both were extremely patient in providing the tips, explaining the rules patiently and above all the confidence their training gives you can be seen in your driving soon after the first class. Able to pass the test with out any issue, my biggest fear of parallel parking is gone now. I highly recommend Vision Driving School to any one who is working on their first Drivers License or refreshing their driving skills. read more

I would highly recommend Gezahegn for taking driving lessons. - He is a very good instructor. He is very patient and does not mind going over anything again and again till gets it. He provides really good feedback for the areas that need work on. - Pick up and drop off from your home included - You can take driving test with him. This is a big plus because you are familiar with car and driving and at the time of test you can just focus on driving. - He is flexible if you there is need. Don't bother looking into other driving schools. This place has better price rates and better 1-on-1 focus you need to learn how to drive, not just to pass the test, but also safely. I had fears about driving because my previous instructor was impatient and hostile whenever I made mistakes. But Gazahegn actually recharged my confidence with his calm composure and compliments even when I messed up. While he was extremely patient, he clearly stated what mistakes I made and how I could fix them. Also, he is the best about communication. He uses texts and phone calls to schedule lessons. He's very very very flexible about scheduling. You will acquire the knowledge, confidence, and the skills to drive at this school. read more

Took my driving test with Mr. Hezagehn today and he was very professional, patient and did not make me nervous at all. Even with having to reschedule twice because of snow and rain, he was very accommodating. At the end of the 30 min. drive, he told me a few areas that needed corrections and my final result. The instructor went out of his way to accommodate my daughter so that she could keep her noon appointment. He came in early to give her the final driving exam even though we did not have an appointment. He was extremely kind, professional and did such a nice job of giving her the final drive exam. Really fair price, srsly though most driving schools make you pay at least $500. The instructors are pretty nice and really patient. Mr. G is a pretty straightforward guy, he tells you what you should work on and gives you tips on what you can do to improve. Came here after my cousin failed his first driving test and the DOL was booked until the end of the next month. We were told at the DOL that taking the driving test at a driving school would be his best option if he didn't want to wait that long. After calling different schools and hearing all the prices of $50-$65 dollars, we found this school on Yelp and came in to make an appointment. Mr. Gezahegn was able to schedule my cousin's driving test in less than a week. He was patient and easygoing, according to my cousin, during the test and did not make him feel nervous like the lady at the DOL did. The driving test costs $39 if you use your own vehicle, which is only $4 more than if you were to take it at the DOL, so I definitely recommend coming here. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I have to do it for Vision Driving School. Everything that has been said about Mr. Gezahegn is completely true. I already had my license but after not driving for many years, I needed to gain some confidence. Mr. Gezahegn is very patient, and what I appreciate most about him is that he has very high standards. He manages to offer constructive criticism without being rude or condescending. I still have to practice a lot, but I have taken his tips and I'm incorporating them daily in my driving. He is now teaching my niece how to drive and I have absolutely no worries. I know she's in good hands! read more
